We had an awesome 5 day stay. The site was level and spacious, the creek was beautiful and the campground was empty. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this campground.

Really enjoyed our stay there although it was short. Clean campground. Lots to do in the area. Staff was very friendly. Loved it. Our site couldn’t have been more ideal. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I come to Hiawasse KOA at least 3 times a year. We always stay on the creek. We enjoy talking with Steve and Beth in the office. They are always so professional and polite. See you again in October!

Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because of a water supply issue at our site, but overall, a beautiful campground with beautiful views all-around. Lots of wildlife in nearby (lots of deer) and the drive from the main highway to the campground is almost a much fun as the campground itself. Be sure to check it out if you are in the Hiawassee area.

My husband and I are from Florida. We go to all the KOA’s this is the top one so far. Didn’t care for the mountains getting there but we will be back. The staff was awesome and loved that they had different things to do without having to to leave the park.. thank you for the wonderful visit. Hope to be back soon.

We loved the park. It was clean and well maintained. We really liked our spot, we liked the store/camp office. We walked the dogs all around and really enjoyed ourselves. We will come back.

Family reunion using cabins and deluxe Rv sites. Our sites were overlooking the pond and we were able to leverage the yard for games and fun. It is quiet, no road noise, in the mountains close to Helen, lake chutaga, rafting, go karts, lovely time! Highly recommend

We experienced an extraordinary 2 week stay. Every staff member exceeded expectations in kindness and helpfulness, and the grounds were immaculately maintained. We felt truly welcomed and secure at all times. We cannot wait for our next trip. This campground has become our absolute favorite!

Enjoyed our stay. Although we didn’t spend much time at the park everything was beautiful and everyone that we came across that works there were very pleasant. Definitely will stay here again.

Water pressure was an issue, but the problem was repaired the second try. I asked for a paper copy of bill and discovered a $25 charge for the campsite , which I put a deposit. I was told the charge was to hold that spot. The campground was mostly empty. I eventually got the deposit back. I have been staying at KOA’s for years and have never encountered this charge. Everything else was good.

Our biggest complaint is that everything in the campground closes by 5pm when the front office closes. You can’t play putt putt after 5p & they want all equipment returned by 5pm. Plus the pool closed at 7pm which was very early when the heat index was above 100. No golf carts to rent in a huge campground seems like a loss of revenue!

Swimming pool and mini golf closes too early. Both should stay open until at least dusk. Mini golf would be much more enjoyable to play in the evening when it's not 105 degrees outside. Also no cable TV is a disappointment. We like to watch some local news and weather when we camp. Wifi is decent at the campground. The site we stayed on is too close to the next door site.

It is a very nice campground. I'm giving these ratings because of the price and especially because of the $25 locked site charge. I think that is just another way for KOA to try to generate income. Other than price, it is a beautiful campground.

Staying right by the stream was so much fun for all 5 of my kids and my 2 nephews and niece! It was such a safe feeing playing right there. The pool was great, and the playground had quite a bit to do. The slides were old fashioned metal and not the best. Walking the grounds was a delight, beautifully kept!

A wonderful park nestled in the mountains. Lots of great things for kids to do. The staff was super nice. My only complaint was the annoying dogs barking constantly. Every time we stepped outside one dog barked the whole time, and the owners did nothing to quiet them. Others up the street too. My suggestions is putting all the campers with dogs in one area as not to disturb other campers.

Close to hiking and endless other activities, clean, peaceful and very comfortable KOA setting. Camp store is well stocked and the staff could not be friendlier. Even with other opportunities to spend the night, we would very satisfied with this facility and would not hesitate to return.

Love the many activities for kids and ample green space. Staff were friendly and helpful. I also appreciate that store prices were reasonable. The only negative was that some sites were just too tight and needed a little more space between campers.

Our stay was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only reason for 4 stars is not enough bathhouse. Maybe one or two more would be perfect. And only thing I was in the store that I didn't see was tablecloth clips. That would be a great addition to the store.

This is our favorite KOA. Book and lock in your creek side spot, they go quickly. Even if you don't get creek side you will have a great time. Promise it will be a great stay. The staff is great. We have been there 4 times and every time we check in the staff remembers our entire family. My kids love the park, play ground, pool, bounce pad, and activities. Our kids wake up and want to run.

This is a beautiful campground with a lot of amenities. The people that work here seem very nice and helpful as well. I would give this place 5 stars but we don't like how they nickel and dime (ie. Can't bring wood for your fire then charge around $8 for just a few pieces, they also charge for using the paddle boats, etc). Otherwise its a very nice place.

Amazing 8 months here at the KOA, Holiday. The only request that might help seasonal guests would be the WiFi instability as of lately. Maybe this can change so that service when off the grid still works on WiFi. Kudos to all staff for making it a safe and clean place to be.

We camped with a travel trailer and there was hardly anyone else there. Unfortunately, KOA staff put us right next to one of the few other campers, leaving many sites open. Our power/water/sewer connections were right next to the picnic belonging to the other camper. Otherwise, staff and property was great.
