We stayed at site 47B, right by the babbling brook. Site was level gravel with FHU. The entire campground was beautifully maintained. The pool area was clean as were the bathroom facilities. This had the best stoked store that I have seen. Plenty of wildlife around. Personable staff all around.

We have a 40’ bus, we had a pull through site, it was very narrow, to exit the site we had to back out of the site because there was no room to go forward. The site itself was long enough to accommodate a 40’ RV and a tow vehicle. This KOA has lots of family friendly amenities; however, that was not something we required. Better directions to enter the campsite via Fodder Creek Road are necess

Not your typical campground/rv park. Mainly caters to permanent trailer weekenders. Park is very clean. Bathrooms are lovely. No trees areas for us short term visitors. Horrible geese and their droppings everywhere.

Everything was so exceptional. It rained and we lost power twice but the staff communication was fast and thorough and they did everything possible to help us when and where they could. There is so much to do and our rv spot next to the creek was amazing! Our kids had such a blast.

Spent nine days there and it was a great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The entire campground was always kept neat and tidy. We watched the workers everyday cutting grass picking up trash and debris from campers and weather. I will definitely book there again and highly recommended the campground.

It’s a beautiful clean campground with lots of amenities but we’re very disappointed that most activities close at 5 pm! The paddle boats, rec room, mini golf should all be open much later.

We love Hiawassee! Koa is a perfect place to stay to visit the area

Love this place been staying here for years. However disappointed this time. We were booked for 5 nights and on the 3rd night I ended up in the hiawassee er with heart attack symptoms. After discharged with precautions was told to get home to see my Dr. Several things going on. Koa would not refund our last day there. We lost $85 so we will not be returning customers.

It was our first time staying at a KOA. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The park was clean and not loud even on the 4th of July. The site was nice and easy to get into. I appreciated the daily trash pick up. We look forward to our next trip here.

Great for kids and pets! Cleanest bathrooms and showers ever! Bad luck had us rained out most of the weekend but the clubhouse is a great spot to hang with a pool table, air hockey and plenty of games and books. Very friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and stress free.

My wife and I booked this campground, with the intention of doing activities nearby. The activities turned out to be 35 minutes or longer away each day. We visited Helen twice during our stay, which requires driving each way on a windy mountain highway, which can take between 40 to 50 minutes to navigate from the campground. Be prepared for the hairpin turns, as well as the other turns that are about 90 degrees. This KOA is also not the usual KOA my wife and I are accustomed to, such as Twin Mountain in NH. We didn't realize about half the RV and cabin sites were long term rentals, aka seasonal individuals. Our site was nestled between all of those, though few people were here this week near us. It was also odd to have the KOA store closed on Sunday and Wednesday during our stay. The nearest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away. The cabins are nice inside, and provide the necessary amenities, to reduce eating out at restaurants. We encountered some deer everyday we were here. I've attached photos below to show how close they will come.
