One of nicest looking KOAs I have stayed in. A lot of time, money and effort has been put into this campground. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were large with the biggest showers and plenty of hot water. Laundry facilities were top notch. With the campground being far from a major road (3 miles) you really enjoy the solitude but shopping is extremely convenient.

Very polite and helpful staff. Site was nice and the bath house is immaculate! Even in the snow/sleet the kids had a great time on the play ground and paddle boats.

I have been here year round for 2 going on 3 years. For someone who has limited finances, this location for year round stay is thankfully affordable. The employees are great and the facility is well kept. I can only hope they continue to keep those of us who stay year round, get these affordable rates.

I love staying here in Hiawassee. The staff is very friendly and there is so much to do especially for children. The extra activities are a plus. The cookouts and dinners are nice. The campground is kept very clean as well. I’ve been here 3 yrs and would highly recommend this campground.

The wife and I needed to get away from our daily lives for a little bit. Especially after Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday. We needed some quiet time and Hiawassee was a great place to do that. This time of year was wonderful. It was quiet for us and we enjoyed where we were located within the campground. The office staff was great as well. We didn't need too much to begin with.

It is AWSOME. The staff is the best. They are so helpful from the office staff to the maintenance men to house keeping ladies. Everyone on staff here will go out of there way to accommodate you. If your ever in this area and looking for a campground. This is the place. I give them 5 stars.

A very well-maintained an extremely clean campground specially the showers and bathrooms very tentative staff and knowledgeable about the area. Should be another candidate for the president award thank you Doug Warren.

The staff were very polite and accommodating. The campground was clean and beautiful. The only complaint I've had is that there were not enough lighting or directions to Guide me to my Site With the 37 Foot Camper. And a 20 foot trailer behind it took me quite some time to navigate. Through some dead end, areas, without any lighting to see the site that I was supposed to be at. Need site # lit

The KOA staff was very helpful and check in very easy. Lots of amenities to do when weather warmer. Liked our patio site. Beautiful views. Just wish gameroom was open after 5pm.

We have enjoyed spending a weekend at the Hiawassee KOA the past several years. The staff and facilities are great. The location is wonderful, quiet and peaceful but close enough to all the towns we like to visit.

Great location, very clean but we were assigned a site that was very close to another camper. We had to move down the site just to keep from being on top of them. Plenty of other sites available so not understanding the reason why they put you so close in a nearly empty campground and no TV, No air channels picked up and WiFi was not working well

The campground is very spacious and has great spots. lots of activities and the staff are extremely friendly and helpfull. Will definitely return to this KOA. It is now one of our favorites!

Absolutely phenomenal! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The views and amenities were spot on. The walkable areas Absolutely perfect. Camping spots were spaced perfectly.

It was very nice, 1st time at a KOA. The bathhouses were the nicest and cleanest I’ve ever camped in. We usually like to find unique private campgrounds for the experience however now KOAs will be on the list.

We stayed for 2 weeks in our 42 ft fifth wheel in November 2024 The campground is quiet and the site we had was large and level. We had a pull thru on the hill with a patio. The park is clean, as are the bath house and laundry. The pool was closed for the season. We enjoyed exploring the area. I would definitely return

Perfect - surrounded by the Majestic Ga Mountains. We have travelled a lot. Anytime, we stayed with KOA, it was a favorable experience. This Hiawassee KOA Holiday takes RVing to the “next level”.

One of my favorite places to stay. Great place to walk. WiFi works well. The staff folks are great- special shout out to Beth and Steve. The only downer for my last visit was the political signs- everybody has the right but its the last thing I want to see on a trip to relax and enjoy the mountains.

This is a beautiful campground with a lot of amenities. The people that work here seem very nice and helpful as well. I would give this place 5 stars but we don't like how they nickel and dime (ie. Can't bring wood for your fire then charge around $8 for just a few pieces, they also charge for using the paddle boats, etc). Otherwise its a very nice place.

Amazing 8 months here at the KOA, Holiday. The only request that might help seasonal guests would be the WiFi instability as of lately. Maybe this can change so that service when off the grid still works on WiFi. Kudos to all staff for making it a safe and clean place to be.

We camped with a travel trailer and there was hardly anyone else there. Unfortunately, KOA staff put us right next to one of the few other campers, leaving many sites open. Our power/water/sewer connections were right next to the picnic belonging to the other camper. Otherwise, staff and property was great.
