Cabin was clean, well furnished, and like new. Grounds were very well kept. Customer service was very helpful, friendly, and efficient. Amenities were fantastic. I especially love how welcoming they are to dogs. This was an excellent place to stay and I plan to come back in the future.

We just love this place. We came up house hunting. Stayed here several times. The staff is so kind and friendly. This is so much better than a hotel. I’m very pleased that my Wife (The Boss) found this. I’m sold on the KOA cabins.

Only complaint was when we tried to check in the office was closed. There was no note on the door as to what we should do or who to call. We rode around looking for someone, called the office, etc. Finally when we went back to the office there was a sheet of paper advising code to room.

Friendly owners and staff, cabin was clean and furnished as advertised, excellent wireless and HULU availability, pet friendly, short drive to Helen, GA, entire campground kept clean and neat. We would have stayed an extra day (or days) but had other obligations. We'll definitely be back, looking to spend more time.

We stayed in deluxe cabin, it was very clean and had everything that you could need. The whole campground was very clean and well kept. The staff at office was very nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay here again !!

We have stayed in this campground many times, but always in our RV until this trip. We love the location, surrounded by beautiful nature, but near activities, restaurants and shopping. The best of both worlds!

The small cabin we rented was perfect for our 5 day stay, clean bed was comfortable and loved our pond and mountain view. Only had a kitchenette, so toaster oven and microwave (outside gas grill),small hotel size fridge/freezer. Didn't bother us cause ate out a lot. If you need more they do rent larger deluxe cabins I believe.

We were scheduled to spend 2 nights but had to leave after the first night. My husband who is 90 years old got up in the middle of the night and fell . He did not see the wooden frame the bed was on. We left that morning and returned home so he could go to the ER in Gainesville Ga. He broke his thumb and was bruised up from the fall. He was lucky there were no other injuries.

WE loved our stay. This was the nicest KOA we have been to. The biggest issue I had was that with ALL the cabinetry and space in the kitchen, there was very little items in which to help make food. We had 1 small pot, a small skillet and that is it. Why have all such a great cabin with lots of kitchen cabinet space and not have the kitchen tools. I would have brought my own if I knew.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated how clean it was. Thank you. There are somethings about the cabin that needed to be upgraded. Lighting over the sink, plus more electrical outlets for charging of phones. Wifi was also a problem. But overall we loved staying at Hiawassee Koa.

I had an amazing time at the cabin! I will def be back again with my kids. The campground has a lot for the kids to do and we got to visit with family that live near there.

Easy check in process. We stayed in a pet friendly cabin. There were food and water bowl’s for our pup. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We had been driving Georgia backroads, dirt roads, and camping in National Forest for three night prior to our KOA stay. It came at the perfect time. The hot shower was great and we were protected from the monsoon rain of the night. So glad to be in shelter

We just enjoyed our 2nd stay at this KOA, this time in a Deluxe cabin that perfectly met our needs as a family of 5. We enjoy this location so much. In fact, our homeschool group has been bringing families here for years. It is great to have a safe, beautiful place to relax and play.

KOA made many good changes to our campground, but things we wish were different: In cabins such as #73, beds no longer have storage room underneath and mattress covers are VERY loud when you move while sleeping. Space would be more flexible without attached tables. We would LOVE a Pickleball court. Maybe near pavilion and volleyball??

Our cabin was very comfortable, but missing a few things to make it exceptional. There was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper so we had to ask for more. The tv didn’t work- or we didn’t know how to work it. Maybe they need tv instructions? We used chairs as nightstands since there were no usable nightstands.

Steve at front desk not very friendly … two ladies very nice …. Light on kitchen needs a new bulb … one is out… ceiling fan needs a longer chain so I can reach cause I am short…cabin is nice but you need some lights in the back … very dark at nite … yes I left porch light on….oh and I would have used paddle boat but thought it was bad you had to pay extra … other than that … ve

Stayed at Hiawassee KOA Holiday from 8/7/25 through 8/12/25 in cabin DC 71 during the Southeast Cushman Meet . This was my third year and will be returning next year. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful campground with a lot of amenities. The people that work here seem very nice and helpful as well. I would give this place 5 stars but we don't like how they nickel and dime (ie. Can't bring wood for your fire then charge around $8 for just a few pieces, they also charge for using the paddle boats, etc). Otherwise its a very nice place.

Amazing 8 months here at the KOA, Holiday. The only request that might help seasonal guests would be the WiFi instability as of lately. Maybe this can change so that service when off the grid still works on WiFi. Kudos to all staff for making it a safe and clean place to be.

We camped with a travel trailer and there was hardly anyone else there. Unfortunately, KOA staff put us right next to one of the few other campers, leaving many sites open. Our power/water/sewer connections were right next to the picnic belonging to the other camper. Otherwise, staff and property was great.
