Cabin was great. Very clean. The little plastic rail on fridge door was broken so we couldn't put anything in it because there was nothing to hold food. I told office when we first got there so they didn't think we broke it. I would suggest maybe table with chairs instead of bar stools. I'm short & couldn't get on the stool for fear of falling so I ate standing up.

This was the best KOA we have stayed at. We have been traveling from PA to North Carolina and have stayed in 3 other KOA’s on our way. I would highly recommend this KOA. It had all the amenities you could ask for and the beds were very comfortable!

The price is to expensive. We could have stayed in a hotel for less. We could of stayed longer in a hotel. We cut our trip shorter due to the price. It's a beautiful place. People here are wonderful and friendly.

It was so clean and adorable!! More like an Airbnb than a typical KOA cabin. Loved all of the amenities and the security. Amazing experience!!! Can’t wait to go back

Our family had an amazing weekend at Hiawassee KOA Holiday! We stayed in a cabin with our son, his friend, and our dog, and enjoyed everything—from mini golf, paddle boats, and the pool to tie-dye, candy bingo, and outdoor games. The campground was spotless, beautiful, and well-maintained, and every staff member was incredibly friendly. We made wonderful memories and can't wait to come back!

Had a wonderful stay at the Hiawasee KOA for our annual family reunion. Our Family booked approximately 10 campsites & ,6 cabins for 5-9 days. Sites, Cabins were nice & the staff & facilities were awesome. Reservations have been made for June 2027 & we are looking forward to another Fun week of Family time.

We loved our 4 nights in Cabin 7 and time spent at the campground. We did have an issue with the air conditioner freezing up. Steve and his assistant were very responsive and worked incredibly hard to defrost it and get it working again. Great job, guys! We highly recommend an under counter light for the kitchen counter. It is dark and hard to work and do dishes without good light. Thx!

The entire campground is clean and nicely landscaped and it is a spectacular location nestled in the tallest mountains in Georgia! Steve and other staff were friendly and helpful with tips on local things to do. It is quiet and peaceful nestled in amazing mountains. There is a lot to keep kids busy, dogs can stay, and nearby Hiawasse has a beautiful lake and great shops.

The cabin i stayed in was immaculate. I was there with my daughter, mothet , and sister. There was plenyt of room for 4 adults. The place was clean and stocked with necessities you would need. The park was peaceful. The fellow camppers were very nice and i met some great people . The staff was informative and very nice as well. This experience made my 1st time camping fun..

We stayed in a lakefront cabin which was very adorable... Bed was super comfortable... Refrigerator didn't work tho. Would definitely stay again

Loved the entire KOA Hiawassee site and the activities offered , kids had a lot of fun, very clean and lot of things to do. Only reason I gave it 1 star less than perfect is because wish we had one of the cabins by the lake to soak in the beautiful views every morning!

Great for kids and pets! Cleanest bathrooms and showers ever! Bad luck had us rained out most of the weekend but the clubhouse is a great spot to hang with a pool table, air hockey and plenty of games and books. Very friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and stress free.

My wife and I booked this campground, with the intention of doing activities nearby. The activities turned out to be 35 minutes or longer away each day. We visited Helen twice during our stay, which requires driving each way on a windy mountain highway, which can take between 40 to 50 minutes to navigate from the campground. Be prepared for the hairpin turns, as well as the other turns that are about 90 degrees. This KOA is also not the usual KOA my wife and I are accustomed to, such as Twin Mountain in NH. We didn't realize about half the RV and cabin sites were long term rentals, aka seasonal individuals. Our site was nestled between all of those, though few people were here this week near us. It was also odd to have the KOA store closed on Sunday and Wednesday during our stay. The nearest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away. The cabins are nice inside, and provide the necessary amenities, to reduce eating out at restaurants. We encountered some deer everyday we were here. I've attached photos below to show how close they will come.
