We really like the camp ground. The only problem was WiFi. We enjoy our tv at night and it pretty much buffered all the time

This new Holiday KOA has it all. There are so many great amenities and the location is perfect for relaxing in the summer months with cooler temperatures. Construction was underway on building a bath/shower area adjacent to the main building next to the pool. The portable potties/showers just don’t cut it. There are beautiful mountains & a lake to look at & Hiawassee downtown is worth a visit.

Cabin had a flying termite infestation (Drywood Termites), told the office Sunday on checkout, they didn't offer any refund or any compensation. Sawdust was dropped all over our stuff in the bathroom and had to keep the door shut to keep the flying critters out of the main cabin.

Staff was super accommodating when we had a large wasp population at our cabin and a member was allergic. Only recommendation would be to consider switching to tankless water heater as we were in a cabin for 6 and had to space showers an hour apart for a family of 4 to get warm water. List code to laundry door in check in information.

We loved our trip! We know they are making improvements and it shows. We only with the store was open later, closer to sun down, to help with getting firewood, rentals, and using the facility.

Stayed in Site 9 and it was great. Not a lot of trees but still a good spot. Staff was very friendly. Only 4 spaces up on this hill and we had it to ourselves 4 of the 5 nights so it was very quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a great KOA experience.

Love the campground and staff but we had to stay on cabin this time and there were aunts all over the place. The bathroom had cobwebs with bugs and stuff laying on sink from bugs eating wood. I let front office know about it. I didn’t even get an I’m sorry. Other than that we love the place and will bring our camper back often.

Hi Your KOA is the most beautiful KOA we ever stayed at. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Having said that, the bathroom and shower across the little bridge really could use a little tender loving care. I choose to shower in my trailer instead. You have a real gem at Hiawassee.

The park is beautiful and QUIET. I was dismayed at the amount of dog poop at the dog park; there was a trash can but the bag dispenser was empty for the entire week I was there.

Beautiful location. The camp was clean and quiet. The main bathroom/shower facility was being renovated. The lock to the men's facility at the nearest location to our campsite did not work. I had to use the shower at the farthest location from our RV. At check in, we were not told of the renovations or the problem with the lock. No poop bags at dog run. Park has potential, maybe it will improve.

My wife had her wallet stolen from the laundry WHILE SHE WAS DOING THE LAUNDRY. The staff was combative as it happened as the office was closing. The wouldn't call the local police but dialed the phone for her...(and it was the wrong number) The man working became helpful only after the police arrived. I later found her wallet thrown into a nearby shrubbery. We have been there four or five times.

We really enjoyed our stay! Dog friendly for our grand pup! And very clean! The only thing I would change is letting the pool and jump pad stay opened later. About the time it cools down they close or deflate lol Other than that, we loved it!! �

We love staying at the KOA! Our site was great except for when it rained, it doesn’t drain very well right where the dirt meets the concrete pad—lots of flooding and mud in that area. Thought you might want to know!

We loved Beth at the front desk and the way the staff really kept the grounds immaculate. Our site was level and nice for the view of the mountains. I would like to see a pool upgrade and a spa added. I also would like to see pickleball courts added since it has become so popular. We’ve registered for two weeks in August. One of the nicest KOA’s we’ve ever stayed at.

We have stayed there several times before it became a KOA. I was concerned about the change, but nothing has changed for us. The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. We live a couple hours away and it's our favorite spot.

Just few observations The general store closes too early. The pool closes WAY to early. It’s the middle of the summer. It should at least be open til dusk. I understand stand not wanting it to be open after dark. Mike was great helping me by loaning a plunger, and I was able to fix the problem in my RV. Overall beautiful views and quite. The brook was tranquil.

Before when it was Bald Mountain Park the grass was always cut even in the camp spots there was never any weeds or grass but now it was starting to grow at the edges of the spots at the creek very disappointed how things are now

Hiawassee Koa is absolutely beautiful. You can tell everyone there takes pride in it. Everyone there was fantastic, from the employees to the seasonal campers that were there. We enjoyed talking and getting to know so many wonderful people. Special thanks to Steve and Tom for looking out for us so much. Both of you were a true blessing. We will definitly be back!

We rented a cabin and we’re told there would be a cooktop to cook off if, which there was not. Wi-Fi and cable didn’t work throughout our stay. Mini golf and inflatable pillow closed too early. Way overpriced for what we got on our stay.

The manager and assistant manager are awesome. We had a storm come thru and right after they were out cleaning up and checking on people. The manager was even out working after hours checking the park. Grade a service.

No Wi-Fi. Park was clean except around ponds lots of waste from pets for the price expected a better experience

Staff was rude and unfriendly. Did not tell me which site I was on at check in or show me the best way to get there or escort us. Was more concerned that I wear a stupid bracelet at all times because local residents were crashing the pool. Charged my son and wife $10 instead of giving them my 2nd parking pass that was paid for. Worker on golf cart almost ran us over. Never staying here again.

Very hot so we waited till evening to enjoy the koa perks like put-put or paddle boats only to find out the store closed at 5. Need to stay open later in summer so that campers can have ample time to enjoy the campground.

We enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the pool, paddle boats and it was very clean. The campsite was very small and I don't like wearing a wristband for a week. Over all we would stay here again.

Very dissatisfied grass needed mowing. Black ants were terrible, most of all your prices have doubled. Some of the staff was not nice on the phone when my daughter called to cancel and was not going to refund her money and she called back and talked to someone else and this was booked last year before KOA took over. Will not be back!!

Simple after hours check in, cabin was clean and supplied as advertised. Laid back stress free weekend with no drama. Enjoyed the views and especially the short drive back and forth to Hiawassee.

Always a great time. We can do the campground frequently. Every time we come it's so peaceful and quiet. One of the best places.
