Great stay. Well kept campground and clean. The only thing I don’t like is having to pay extra for putt putt and paddle boats. Seems for the price to stay this could be included. Also wish the office was manned a little later so some of these amenities could be utilized when it was a little cooler outside.

This is the second time we have stayed at the KOA Hiawassee. Both times we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The management is very nice and helpful. The bathhouse is nice and our grandkids love the campground. Ww hope to be back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the beautiful grounds you maintain so well.

Clean and beautiful surroundings.

We always enjoy bringing our two youngest grandsons here when school is out. Rainy days call for a trip to the local movie theater. Sunny days are great for ATVing. Paddleboats, putt putt and fishing round out this year's events. The new Bathhouse is a huge upgrade! The spacious, sparkling showers, toilets and vanities in private rooms are outstanding.

Campground is very well kept. Maintenance staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The preferred sites are the back-in and pull through sites by the pond.

We really liked this campground. It is a lovely place in the mountains. The pool and lake were perfect for relaxing. The store and game room was large. It has a lot of seasonal campers. The staff were helpful.

We loved our 4 nights in Cabin 7 and time spent at the campground. We did have an issue with the air conditioner freezing up. Steve and his assistant were very responsive and worked incredibly hard to defrost it and get it working again. Great job, guys! We highly recommend an under counter light for the kitchen counter. It is dark and hard to work and do dishes without good light. Thx!

The entire campground is clean and nicely landscaped and it is a spectacular location nestled in the tallest mountains in Georgia! Steve and other staff were friendly and helpful with tips on local things to do. It is quiet and peaceful nestled in amazing mountains. There is a lot to keep kids busy, dogs can stay, and nearby Hiawasse has a beautiful lake and great shops.

Since it rained pretty much all Memorial Day weekend, we didn’t have much opportunity to get out and about to see all of your spacious Campground in facilities. We did stay dry in our RV but did not get to meet our neighbors. When it was not raining, loved watching the Canadian geese out on the little lake and parading around the campground.

Beth and Steve in the office modified my site since they recognized my name and put me right on the lake. Had a great time with my neighbor that I had just met assisting the elderly couple with fishing.

Margie and I have looked at other KOAs. They were not as friendly as this HIAWASSEE KOA. Plus their sites were to close to each other. These sites at the Hiawassee KOA are very spacious and clean. The entire staff were very friendly and accommodating. So friendly we booked another stay before we left for home. Thank you all and may the Good LORD bless all of you!

Enjoyed our stay…sites are welcoming, amenities above standard, and the campground is centrally located for many attractions in the area.

We had a wonderful time at the KOA Hiawassee. So many fun things for the kids (jump pillow, fishing, parks, an open field for kickball/baseball, volleyball courts, mini golf, paddle boating). It was a wonderful start. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back again!

The Hiawassee KOA is one of the best RV parks in North Georgia. What makes it even better is the outstanding staff. From the office staff to those that work out on the grounds, each one is pleasant and eager to help you with whatever you need …. And that’s what separates a good park from a GREAT park. Bruce Wagar

The park was peaceful. The fellow camppers were very nice and i met some great people . The staff was informative and very nice as well. This experience made my 1st time camping fun..

Park and staff were great. WiFi was good, but park needs cable or some way to access tv while staying there.

Kind employees and clean site

My wife and I agree that this KOA is the best one we have ever stayed in out of all KOAs across the country. We camped in an Class C RV. Our site was backed up to a beautiful mountain stream. The campground was quite, clean and since we were there May 11-15, it was not crowded at all. We enjoyed the north Georgia moutains and has a wonderful experience. Brasstown Bald Mountain Tower is a must see

Beautiful location and wonderful staff!

We stayed by the beautiful creek. I’d say there’s nothing to complain about and a whole lot of reasons to come back. Bell mountain park is a mountain top you don’t want to miss. The antique stores are plentiful. Highly recommend this area and the koa is one of the best you’ll find. Go visit!

Your map of the camp ground does not match what is really there. It indicates roads looping around - they end and unless you walk thru a camp site you have to either go back or detour off property. The staff were great and always said hi. Campground was clean and pet stations well stocked. Great view of the surrounding forest and mountains.

Great for kids and pets! Cleanest bathrooms and showers ever! Bad luck had us rained out most of the weekend but the clubhouse is a great spot to hang with a pool table, air hockey and plenty of games and books. Very friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and stress free.

My wife and I booked this campground, with the intention of doing activities nearby. The activities turned out to be 35 minutes or longer away each day. We visited Helen twice during our stay, which requires driving each way on a windy mountain highway, which can take between 40 to 50 minutes to navigate from the campground. Be prepared for the hairpin turns, as well as the other turns that are about 90 degrees. This KOA is also not the usual KOA my wife and I are accustomed to, such as Twin Mountain in NH. We didn't realize about half the RV and cabin sites were long term rentals, aka seasonal individuals. Our site was nestled between all of those, though few people were here this week near us. It was also odd to have the KOA store closed on Sunday and Wednesday during our stay. The nearest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away. The cabins are nice inside, and provide the necessary amenities, to reduce eating out at restaurants. We encountered some deer everyday we were here. I've attached photos below to show how close they will come.
