The improvements to the facility are very nice, with more areas for the kids to play on. However, operationally, things are not going well since KOA took over the RV Park. Specifically, hours for posted services seem to never materialize (the pool opening and maintenance seems "discretionary" on the schedule of the ops team), the weeds on the sites are overgrowing the nicely graveled campsites.

Price is too high. Bath/shower house is extremely hot, no cooling at all. A friend of ours that was with us and she rented a cabin and it was filthy.

It was my first visit. I really enjoyed my stay. It was great that you had so many camp roads suitable for slow biking, so I especially enjoyed that. The check-in staff were very pleasant and friendly as were the other staff members I met. I'll definitely stay here again.

Very nice campground, clean facilities. The staff were very helpful in finding us a shady location. My only complaint it that the dog area had no shade, very small and not usable in the heat.

Was a very nice campground! Facilities were well maintained! Staff very helpful! It would be helpful if office was open till 8 pm! Need to add a workout facility would be my only request! The location of campground is beautiful!

We really like the camp ground. The only problem was WiFi. We enjoy our tv at night and it pretty much buffered all the time

This new Holiday KOA has it all. There are so many great amenities and the location is perfect for relaxing in the summer months with cooler temperatures. Construction was underway on building a bath/shower area adjacent to the main building next to the pool. The portable potties/showers just don’t cut it. There are beautiful mountains & a lake to look at & Hiawassee downtown is worth a visit.

Cabin had a flying termite infestation (Drywood Termites), told the office Sunday on checkout, they didn't offer any refund or any compensation. Sawdust was dropped all over our stuff in the bathroom and had to keep the door shut to keep the flying critters out of the main cabin.

Staff was super accommodating when we had a large wasp population at our cabin and a member was allergic. Only recommendation would be to consider switching to tankless water heater as we were in a cabin for 6 and had to space showers an hour apart for a family of 4 to get warm water. List code to laundry door in check in information.

We loved our trip! We know they are making improvements and it shows. We only with the store was open later, closer to sun down, to help with getting firewood, rentals, and using the facility.

Stayed in Site 9 and it was great. Not a lot of trees but still a good spot. Staff was very friendly. Only 4 spaces up on this hill and we had it to ourselves 4 of the 5 nights so it was very quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a great KOA experience.

Love the campground and staff but we had to stay on cabin this time and there were aunts all over the place. The bathroom had cobwebs with bugs and stuff laying on sink from bugs eating wood. I let front office know about it. I didn’t even get an I’m sorry. Other than that we love the place and will bring our camper back often.

Hi Your KOA is the most beautiful KOA we ever stayed at. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Having said that, the bathroom and shower across the little bridge really could use a little tender loving care. I choose to shower in my trailer instead. You have a real gem at Hiawassee.

The park is beautiful and QUIET. I was dismayed at the amount of dog poop at the dog park; there was a trash can but the bag dispenser was empty for the entire week I was there.

Beautiful location. The camp was clean and quiet. The main bathroom/shower facility was being renovated. The lock to the men's facility at the nearest location to our campsite did not work. I had to use the shower at the farthest location from our RV. At check in, we were not told of the renovations or the problem with the lock. No poop bags at dog run. Park has potential, maybe it will improve.

My wife had her wallet stolen from the laundry WHILE SHE WAS DOING THE LAUNDRY. The staff was combative as it happened as the office was closing. The wouldn't call the local police but dialed the phone for her...(and it was the wrong number) The man working became helpful only after the police arrived. I later found her wallet thrown into a nearby shrubbery. We have been there four or five times.

We really enjoyed our stay! Dog friendly for our grand pup! And very clean! The only thing I would change is letting the pool and jump pad stay opened later. About the time it cools down they close or deflate lol Other than that, we loved it!! �

We love staying at the KOA! Our site was great except for when it rained, it doesn’t drain very well right where the dirt meets the concrete pad—lots of flooding and mud in that area. Thought you might want to know!

We loved Beth at the front desk and the way the staff really kept the grounds immaculate. Our site was level and nice for the view of the mountains. I would like to see a pool upgrade and a spa added. I also would like to see pickleball courts added since it has become so popular. We’ve registered for two weeks in August. One of the nicest KOA’s we’ve ever stayed at.

This is one of our favorite North Georgia campgrounds. It's always restful, quiet, and peaceful. The new KOA management and service team are doing a great job of maintaining and improving the campground and its amenities and services. Our site, #157, backed up to a tiny creek and was level, well-spaced, and had convenient hookups. Really liked it! The only thing that keeps it from getting five stars is the spotty WiFi. It can be sometimes be plenty fast enough to stream or totally non-existent. That's a frustrating problem as cell service is poor and there is no cable or over-the-air TV service available. Tough during football season.

This is one of the best KOAs we have stayed at. The grounds are well kept, and the bathrooms and showers are very clean and always well stocked. We got to visit this past weekend while there was a Cushman meet, so we got to see a lot of old restored Cushman trikes and bikes! There is a jump pillow that all our kids enjoyed, the play ground was fun for all of us (we love it when there are swings that are big enough for adults too) that had good, heavy duty see saws! We loved how big the park was. It was perfect for the guys to ride bikes. We loved the creeks that are perfect for the little kids to splash around in. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was, well off main roads so there was not any road traffic noise. Our only complaint was getting into the bathrooms. The little kids (11 years and younger) could not get them open on their own, I was only successful getting them open twice during our stay, my sister had a hard time, as well as many other campers in our area. My husband and brother in law was the only ones who were able to get into them 98% of the time. They also had to help the other campers get in as well. There has to be a better lock/combination system that can be installed to help. I can tell you first hand that late at night/early in the morning while everyone else is still asleep and you have to potty and can't get in, it is a real challenge and aggravating. But that will not stop us from visiting again in the near future since we only live an hour away! I was excited to play shuffleboard, but we ran out of time since they had to be returned by 5 pm😔. Another small complaint we had was that the office should stay open until maybe 6/7pm or even a little later than that. Or maybe have people pay a cash deposit to get items like the shuffleboard disc's and keep them and return them the following day and get their deposit back when they are returned. The good still way way out weighed the "bad"! I would suggest everyone visit at least once!
