Our time there was wonderful from start to finish. Beth was incredibly helpful in accommodating our group (every staff member was kind and welcoming) the grounds were clean and offered plenty to do.

A great visit and the staff at the front desk was awesome. We’ll definitely stay here again if we need to. Great bathrooms and the laundry facility was super clean.

The campground meet my two most important issues, quiet and clean. The acadunoal loud car stereo passing through the campground is understandable.

Beth, Steve, Steve and Terry at KoA Hiwassee were amazing. They helped us with cold weather set up. Instructed us on our RV and ensured we were OK in freezing weather. The Hiwassee KoA was in great condition. We'll be back because the staff was outstanding.

The outdoor lighting on the adjacent RV was disturbing all night. Such all-night lights should be prohibited. The site was not convenient for the bath house. No one was available after we arrived to correct these problems.

Friendly owners and staff, cabin was clean and furnished as advertised, excellent wireless and HULU availability, pet friendly, short drive to Helen, GA, entire campground kept clean and neat. We would have stayed an extra day (or days) but had other obligations. We'll definitely be back, looking to spend more time.

We stayed in deluxe cabin, it was very clean and had everything that you could need. The whole campground was very clean and well kept. The staff at office was very nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay here again !!

We have stayed in this campground many times, but always in our RV until this trip. We love the location, surrounded by beautiful nature, but near activities, restaurants and shopping. The best of both worlds!

Everyone is always so friendly and the space is beautiful. We were lucky enough to still have some fall colors. As always, the Hiawassee KOA Holiday makes for a great family camping weekend.

The Hiawassee KOA is absolutely beautiful and well kept. The KOA had a ton of activities to keep the family entertained and was close to a variety of hiking trails/parks. Our tent site was near the playground which was 10/10 for us since we had small children. The views were breathtaking - a literal mountain in the background of our tent site.

Georgia is home to many exceptional campgrounds, and this one stands out for its cleanliness and family-friendly ambiance. Our grandson formed a lasting bond with the campground and its numerous activities.

Very nice Campground, quiet and the facilities were very clean the staff there was very helpful. Example: I wanted to barbecue and the propane tank on the KOA barbecue was empty, he said he would take care of it when I went to cook dinner (hour or so later )not only was the tank filled, he also clean the barbecue grill. I thought that was above and beyond what I could've asked. Job well done

Great for kids and pets! Cleanest bathrooms and showers ever! Bad luck had us rained out most of the weekend but the clubhouse is a great spot to hang with a pool table, air hockey and plenty of games and books. Very friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and stress free.

My wife and I booked this campground, with the intention of doing activities nearby. The activities turned out to be 35 minutes or longer away each day. We visited Helen twice during our stay, which requires driving each way on a windy mountain highway, which can take between 40 to 50 minutes to navigate from the campground. Be prepared for the hairpin turns, as well as the other turns that are about 90 degrees. This KOA is also not the usual KOA my wife and I are accustomed to, such as Twin Mountain in NH. We didn't realize about half the RV and cabin sites were long term rentals, aka seasonal individuals. Our site was nestled between all of those, though few people were here this week near us. It was also odd to have the KOA store closed on Sunday and Wednesday during our stay. The nearest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away. The cabins are nice inside, and provide the necessary amenities, to reduce eating out at restaurants. We encountered some deer everyday we were here. I've attached photos below to show how close they will come.
