Was very nice, easy to get to and close to the National Park

A little less than others we've stayed at. Bathrooms need a little more attention and the staff appeared to be in a hurry to process us. No escort to our site and the hand drawn map Sent us the wrong way. Campground seemed to be well equipped and laid out.

We loved Lot 102. It was perfect for our 44 ft motorcoach. The roads are super tight with some low limbs that scraped the top of the coach coming in. We would request the same lot again because no one was on our front side. The spaces are so tight in this KOA that is seemed super crowded. The staff were super friendly and nice.

Great campground. Loved all of the amenities.

Property is old and run down. Many very vocal dogs made the stay very unpleasant and not relaxing. It’s clear Dog’s that are too vocal isn’t something that is discouraged or enforced by the staff. Spots are not well outlined and too close together offering no privacy. Mostly friendly staff and great location adjacent to the park.

Staff was great! Perfect location to check out that area.

Getting to patio sites is a challenge. Turns are tight and sites not very level. Staff on arrival could be a little happier to see us. One in particular.

We were there for 4 nites very quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sites are a little tight and close to your neighbors but otherwise very nice campground.

Clean and well laid out camp grounds. Our pull tru site was short! Not enough space to park trailer and truck. Loss of stars due to rude, disinterested receptionist! First impressions count and her attitude was not welcoming. Staff should be taught the importance of manners!

The campground is nice and the people are friendly. We stayed at site 47 and the whole row did not have the cable TV that should have been provided with the site. We called Maint twice and both times they came and attempted to fix but it still wasn’t fixed after our three day stay. I would not have said something except that there is no over the air Channels

Stayed about 10 days, in April to beginning of May. Very nice. Clerks behind the counter were very nice. Was very disappointed in the cable tv as in there was none! Big issue for us, especially since it rained and/or was overcast all 10 days. Been coming here for probably 30 years and will continue to stay here. Wish internet was faster too.

Site was un-level. Just fit the rig. The price was way out of line for what we had at the site. We had just stayed at a different KOA that was way nicer for the same price.

Sewer up hill and far away. Fire pit far too close to camper and we’ll under awning. Neighbors sewer, water and electric deeply encroached my patio. Neighbor’s site so close to patio his slide blocked my eating/picnic table.

The KOA here at Harper's Ferry is beautiful. The location and maintenance of the campground is excellent. The staff is helpful ... especially John, Linda, Jay and Tacy.

We enjoyed our stay at Harpers Ferry KOA. The team members went above and beyond each time we interacted. The location and access to Murphy Farm as well as the HF National Historic site was very convenient.

Love this campground. Our only issue is that the cable is terrible - very grainy and connection was lost during our stay.

We stayed at some of the new patio sites. Because the site was up on the hill we actually were able to have wifi and cell service so that's a big plus. My biggest complaint is how unlevel the sites are. We didn't have enough leveling blocks to even get the camper level. If you plan to camp here, BRING LOTS OF BLOCKS OR BOARDS If the sites were level I would have rated much higher.

Drove Motorhome to site . Roads were a mess and site unlevel. Obviously all the $$ goes to the window dressing when you pull in, and not enough on roads and site development.

Campground was clean and very well equipped. Site was sloped and not very level, but overall happy with our stay.

Expensive cabins (250/night!!) without full kitchen or any utensils for bbq and RV pull through expensive as well. Lack of maintenance at RV pull through—very muddy.

Clean facilty on the grounds , nice pull thru spots , used the showers , kinda needs some updating on doors and door locks security wise , very little hot water in the one i used , plenty of stuff in the store .

Had issues getting level in site 199 was moved to 197 (thank you) but still had to use blocks under tires of our 42’ Class A to get level. For $150 a night I would have expected somewhat level sites. Camp store and other amenities are great.

Relaxing, and the grounds were big enough so as to get out for walks and leasure time.

Great place to camp. Close to historic sights. Great people. Lots of things for kids to do.

Everything was great, staff was very accommodating to get us moved to a new site that was level enough for us to set up. We will definitely be back. Very clean n organized.

Camo store awesome, so was coffee house. Activities scheduled everyday we were there. WiFi was good, although it was more crowded that might affect it. Some of the spots are rather tight and not very level. Annoying loud buzzing sound that comes and goes from the woods, possibly from the hotel?

The campground is very nice and the amenities are great. My only concern was how tight the roads were and getting our camper on our site. I also was not aware that our site did not have cable.

Had one of nicest camping stores I have seen.

The first KOA that I've stayed at and been dissatisfied. The scenery and location are great, but the layout of the KOA, and our spot (87) in particular, left us frustrated and questioning who designed the park. The communal amenities like the playground and fire pit were placed across the street from the sewage treatment and smelled awful. Hopefully this was an isolated experience.

No cable or internet for 2 days. Cable was very fuzzy the first night.

It was just an over night stay on our way home to Pittsburgh from North Carolina Outer Banks. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a great location and an easy walk to White Horse Tavern via the path. Our site was somewhat unlevel which we dealt with. I was very disappointed in the bathrooms as they were very unclean and only one stall had a latch on it.

All went well. As with all areas I know including my home in PA there are a lot of dying ash trees in the camping area that will need to come down. Sad. We have spent many thousands on them. The campsite was tight but that's a KOA so no real isdues
Apr 28, 2023
I was extremely disappointed with the KOA brand that they allowed a obviously long term camper to fly a HUGE flag in front of their RV with Trumps face on it.

We arrived about 40 minutes after the office closed ut our paperwork was waiting outside...no problem. The dogpark was very convenient and spacious, but as usual, some folks feel they don't need to clean up after their pets. We never steeped foot in the office. We stayed 3 nights and it was nice to be so close to Harper's Ferry Nat'l Park.

Very relaxing, beautiful Campground.

We love staying at the RV park. Staff is always eager to help, and sites are in great shape. Close to must-see areas and great eateries.

Very fun weekend! We took three teenagers and they had a great time at basketball, volleyball and the arcade. There's a lot for kids to do. We did rafting at River Riders--there is a walking path there from the campground. The only negative is the lack of knowledge of the employees at registration. I called ahead to find out what was there, and they didn't know much. As a result, we brought lots of unnecessary stuff. When checking in, they sent us to the wrong cabin (in a completely different area). Here's some info in case it can help someone be more informed than we were: The camp store is well-stocked. They have all the basics, plus beer and wine. Wood is $7 per bundle and they will deliver to your site. Coffee is available at Grapes and Grinds. The lady that worked there is very knowledgeable--go to her with questions about the area. There are a couple of restaurants that deliver to the campground. Those were advertised on the map we got at registration. The pavilion sells pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage and coffee during the summer season 8-11am. We stayed in cabin KL05. KL01-KL07 are lodges with bathrooms. Don't confuse them with K101, etc. I don't know why they don't change the numbers...the staff can't even keep it straight. Anyway, the ones that start with KL are lodges (L for lodge). Ours was nice, clean and had the most comfortable queen mattress we've found in a campground cabin. Here's what's in the lodge, so maybe you won't have to pack so much: The queen bed is made with clean linens and pillows. There's a set of linens and pillows for the twin beds. All were fresh and clean. We only needed a fitted full sheet to cover the futon. There was a coverlet and pillow for that, but we didn't see any sheets. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. There are also hotel style shampoos and bar soaps. Bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths are provided. In the kitchen, there is a full-sized refrigerator with top freezer. There's a microwave and two-burner stove. No oven. There's a Kuerig with four pods of various flavors. There are pots and pans, eating and cooking utensils, bowls, a cutting board, cups and glasses, and measuring cups and spoons. There's dish detergent and a clean towel. There are paper towels, toilet paper and two trash bags. Outside there is a fire ring with picnic table. The fire ring has the big grill that flips so it can be over the fire. If you are going to use that, you will probably need a grill brush to clean it. Hope this helps someone pack. Have a great time!
