it was a spur of the moment weekend getaway that worked out great. Campground was very nice we had a nice shaded lot. Some are alittle crowding but over all it is a great pleace.

We've stayed here several times and this stay booked one of the new back-in patio sites. I appreciated the privacy behind us and enjoyed the patio space. The site was so sloped however that our sewer did not drain, and we had to lift the hose to dump our tanks. For the price of these sites I feel this was a huge overlook on the campgrounds part.

We would definitely make a return trip to your campground. Everyone who we encountered were very pleasant. Campground was very clean.

Everything was great. Folks in registration were nice, facilities were clean, the accomations and amenities were a 10!

We had a dog bark continuous throughout our stay that no one addressed!

The campground store and workers were great. Our site was so off level, we needed to place a lot of boards under the back tires to get it leveled our friends site was the same way. There was a dead tree on both sites. We were worried a branch would fall on our campers. Then there was a loud buzzing noise that went on and off all day and night.

The front of the campground is clearly laid out, the back half is quite confusing at first. We were in site 188 along the civil war trench. Most of these sites are pretty spacious and while not flat (irregular gravel, tree roots, etc), we were able to find a fairly level spot for our 32"MH. Plenty of shade. People were nice, good store. Big rigs could have a tough time on roads...

This is the second time we stayed and will stay again. everything about the campground was great. Clean/up to date/great facilities/quiet/location to the Park was awesome.

It was a good time to visit. The campground was quiet and not congested. We have been here in the middle of summer when it is very crowded.
May 18, 2023
For as much as you charge per night and how crappy the sites are, you should not be charging $6/ per id, per day especially when your pool is not open. My kids literally did NOTHING at your campground and you charged us $54 extra. Thats not right. On top of that your staff was rude.

Our first night we felt like we were in the parking lot, but we moved and had a beautiful tree lined site in the back and we loved it.

Very crowded packed in tight. The registration was great the store was wonderful best KOA store we’ve ever seen staff was friendly.

This campground is nice because it’s so close to many local points of interest, but don’t expect perfection. For the price, we have stayed at nicer campgrounds with larger sites, wider roads and cleaner facilities. Plus, be warned that not all “premium” sites are created the same - some are smashed up tight to each other while a few are much larger - all at the same cost.

I am unsure how to rate so I went in the middle. Everything was great but the picnic table on site 29 is horrible it is all broken we would not even use it. would have been better to have more space than broken table. At check in nothing about wristbands was explained and the person who checked us in knew I had not been there in 20 years. Other campers explained white and yellow bracelets.

Friendly staff, great camp store, and activities for the whole family . A++++

It's a nice campground and the staff is friendly.

It would have been excellant if the guy on the golf cart had not been so rude. He reprimanded multiple campsites for being too loud around 8:30PM not even quiet hours. There were campers from multiple sites dancing in the street after a day of rain.
May 15, 2023
Noticed an increased emphasis on security, to the extent of where cornhole boards can or cannot be placed. No campsites were exceptionally loud, no loud music, just groups enjoying fires, and all visited several times throughout the weekend.

Supposed brand new site was ridiculously unlevel. Staff was less than helpful…
May 15, 2023
We stayed in a 50 amp., pull-thru site. Site was extremely narrow and not level. Campers were so close that the campfire ring was unusable.
May 15, 2023
Sites so close neighbor sewer hose next to our steps Fire ring below bedroom slider, had to close because of smoke Extremely narrow roads, only 1 dumpster for the park! Saturday was overflowing. Asked to stay in our site but told to move since all site reservations were assigned? Asked all week for this site, guess my 800 dollars doesn’t count? Stayed 2 nights cancelled the rest of the week

Had a good stay! The only suggestion I have his the one shower door needs a new lock.
May 15, 2023
We enjoyed the pancake breakfasts in the pavilion! The only complaint we had was that the pull through 50 amp sites were very tight with hardly any room between sites to be able to set anything up or enjoy time outside of our rig. The 30 amp sites in the other part had shade and plenty of space to enjoy their site. Camping with others with 30 amp is hard when the sections are so far apart.

I do not understand why you have to pay $20 to hold a site. When people make reservations at the same time, why can't we be put together without having to pay extra?

Disappointed no cable on both visits this year after being told there was from front desk. Different stories each time. Sewer drain backed up into our lot all over most everything. Maintenance did fix and cleaned my equipment. Thank you for that. Frustrated with the way the past 2 visits have gone. Want to come back but afraid of same problems. 50 amp in more places please.

Great location and much to see and do. Registration/Store staff were helpful and courteous. The $1 pancakes on Saturday and Sunday were great. The miniature golf course was not kept up regarding maintenance and debris on the course which for the added resort fee was annoying. The Laundromat was good but many machines were in need of service. Cable was not available at our site and as expected

We had a great time. The KOA was close to all of the places we wanted to see. Thank you for your hospitality.

We were so impressed with this KOA. The staff and fellow campers were so friendly and helpful and the store was the best one we’ve seen yet.

Campground is nice, but the spaces are packed together like sardines. OK for one night, but this would definitely not be a destination site for me.

Very nice location. Need more signs on 340 and inside campground
May 14, 2023
Nice campground. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A lot of the sites were not very level. The only negative was in the Potomac Pavillion that our group used had a lot of birds nesting and constantly flying in and out. There were also a lot of droppings on the floor. Not a very sanitary situation with food around.
May 14, 2023
stayed for week, many sites need leveling, staff helpful

Never Again! Worst customer service experience Park for weekends, if you book a couple of weeks You get the worst sites Mon-Thur the sites are mostly empty? You don’t get better sites because they are booked Fri-Sat! Park doesn’t do its own reservations! Done offsite, and don’t expect a phone call! You dare ask why you’re cable tv is not working 1500 bucksl add pet fee addresor

Stayed 2 nites. Our site was quite uneven. Didn't complain. We really like the site location. It wasn't critical, but uncomfortable. Huge campground. Liked the trail to the Tavern and proximity to the National Park. Good areas for walking our dogs. Would stay again.

We love staying at the RV park. Staff is always eager to help, and sites are in great shape. Close to must-see areas and great eateries.

Very fun weekend! We took three teenagers and they had a great time at basketball, volleyball and the arcade. There's a lot for kids to do. We did rafting at River Riders--there is a walking path there from the campground. The only negative is the lack of knowledge of the employees at registration. I called ahead to find out what was there, and they didn't know much. As a result, we brought lots of unnecessary stuff. When checking in, they sent us to the wrong cabin (in a completely different area). Here's some info in case it can help someone be more informed than we were: The camp store is well-stocked. They have all the basics, plus beer and wine. Wood is $7 per bundle and they will deliver to your site. Coffee is available at Grapes and Grinds. The lady that worked there is very knowledgeable--go to her with questions about the area. There are a couple of restaurants that deliver to the campground. Those were advertised on the map we got at registration. The pavilion sells pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage and coffee during the summer season 8-11am. We stayed in cabin KL05. KL01-KL07 are lodges with bathrooms. Don't confuse them with K101, etc. I don't know why they don't change the numbers...the staff can't even keep it straight. Anyway, the ones that start with KL are lodges (L for lodge). Ours was nice, clean and had the most comfortable queen mattress we've found in a campground cabin. Here's what's in the lodge, so maybe you won't have to pack so much: The queen bed is made with clean linens and pillows. There's a set of linens and pillows for the twin beds. All were fresh and clean. We only needed a fitted full sheet to cover the futon. There was a coverlet and pillow for that, but we didn't see any sheets. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. There are also hotel style shampoos and bar soaps. Bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths are provided. In the kitchen, there is a full-sized refrigerator with top freezer. There's a microwave and two-burner stove. No oven. There's a Kuerig with four pods of various flavors. There are pots and pans, eating and cooking utensils, bowls, a cutting board, cups and glasses, and measuring cups and spoons. There's dish detergent and a clean towel. There are paper towels, toilet paper and two trash bags. Outside there is a fire ring with picnic table. The fire ring has the big grill that flips so it can be over the fire. If you are going to use that, you will probably need a grill brush to clean it. Hope this helps someone pack. Have a great time!
