There is a different atmosphere at this location. We have been camping every Memorial Day weekend for 15 plus years and the former team made everything contentious and hard. Especially renewing the site for the next year. The current team is friendly and courteous. They have policies that are friendly to those who are loyal tot he business. Their demeanor and attitude show in every staff person.

It seems that the campground is getting very crowded. The sites are very close together. Internet was better this year but not adequate for the volume of campers. Cable did work this year which was an improvement

Enjoyed our time there. Plenty to do and see in the area. Staff are excellent! We will be back!

Site was tight and unlevel. Some of the items in the store were significantly over priced. Crafts were alot of fun for the kids.

We absolutely loved our stay over the Memorial Day weekend! Check in was seamless and everyone was so nice! Our spot was one of the newer patio spots on the lower level and I recommend them! We came to the area to do a lot of the hikes/activities in Harper's Ferry but are already planning to come back sometime so we can enjoy more of the campground activities! Great location for the park access!

For such a popular campground, I would expect better quality sites. Be prepared with extra and then some more blocking as the sites are not very level unless you are on the center section. One site was so off (12 inches of difference between sides) I could not get level side to side so they moved me and the new site was still a challenge to get level. When I did I was uphill to the sewer pipe.

We love coming here usually for Easter camping and this was the first camping here at the Memorial day weekend. The activities were wonderful and fun for the family. I especially like the traditional cannon firing to open the weekend an summer activities. The wine tasting for the adults is awesome! I like seeing the campground support local businesses like local wineries.

Great campground with a lot of activities to do. Enjoyed the amenities this campground had to offer and having the cannon firing was a cool thing to experience. The staff were very nice. Will be back next year for Memorial Day!

Great holiday weekend, the kids loved the campgrounds.

Checked in, or at least I thought I was checked in…until a lady with a bad attitude came to my door as though I’d stolen something, telling me I was not. Better training of newer staff would prevent me from having to stop packing up 3 days later and being accused of something incorrectly.

The pull thru sites may be long, but they are TIGHT getting in and out of. We saw several RV's damage their rigs maneuvering in and out. We were surprised for a campground so large, that there was only 1 shower and 1 bathroom on the side where the pull thru's were. The laundry room was clean, but at least 50% of the machines were out of order.

Excellent excellent stay. Staff is excellent. Have I said excellent enough?

It's the perfect place to go for a few days to get away from the house.

We really like staying at your campground. But so of the sites need to be leveled. We like everything else about it. Would stay again. We have been at this campground many times

Good campground. Enjoyed wineries in the area, casinos in Charlestown, and walking around Harper’s Ferry.

Here is the positive it is a beautiful location with a lot of amenities at the campground as well as a lot to do in the surrounding areas. The negative: unable to level motorhome, (not even close) Motorhomes with front and one rear wheel off the ground. They allowed me to move, however I couldn’t find a site that was level. Sites very close, with neighbors sewer right up against your patio area

Everyone was nice and polite. It showed me exact location where I can stay.

I had problems that the wifi didn't have a good connection that stayed strong. I had work to do and it caused some problems.

Should charge by lbs vs by dog as mine were too small to stay in the bark park.

It was our very first RV camping trip! We loved the sites with shade and room to spread out around the campfire. There were activities planned that were enjoyed by many. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly. We even got an escort to our site since this was our inaugural RV trip. We enjoyed ourselves and plan to return.

Wonderful stay! Great scenery and things to do in the area. Enjoyed biking the C&O Rails to Trails and the towns along the route. Quiet campground with lots of amenities near by.

Loved the size of the KOA Campground. Also enjoyed the amenities. Such as the stocked store, pool, mini golf, and helpful employees.

The supervisor on site took great care of us when there was an issue with our site and we had to move to a different location at check in. He made things right and we actually like the new site better then then one we reserved. this is our third time at Harpers Ferry and one of our favorite locations to go to each year.

We loved our camp site and all the amenities of the campground. Also all the employees we interacted with were very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time with lots of things to do without even leaving the campground. The staff was absolutely excellent, the store well stocked and the weather wasn’t too bad either. We will be returning in August. We may even make another reservation before the end of the year!

Well maintained campground with good ammenities and nice sites. We enjoyed the activities for the kids as well and relaxing in our sites. Bathrooms were clean, camp store was big, and it was a do over. Would absolutely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Harpers Ferry KOA. We loved the kids activities such as slime making, build a bear, and swimming! We really enjoyed our breakfast on Sunday morning at the Pavilion. Our only complaint is the size of the sites. It was very tight and our neighbors fire was so close to our slide out it made our camper side hot.

The person drawing on the map to show how to park drew everyone’s incorrect. This is a problem when the roads are narrow and some campers are huge. Saw a lot of confused people. Lucky we knew the campground and the site so we had no problem. The bathrooms and shower rooms were very dirty. Dirt and hair in all of the corners of the shower rooms and even the bathrooms. We love HF KOA will be back.

The new sites are great. Love the patio and furniture. The area around the fire ring has a few divots but to be expected with new grading. We will be back

We love staying at the RV park. Staff is always eager to help, and sites are in great shape. Close to must-see areas and great eateries.

Very fun weekend! We took three teenagers and they had a great time at basketball, volleyball and the arcade. There's a lot for kids to do. We did rafting at River Riders--there is a walking path there from the campground. The only negative is the lack of knowledge of the employees at registration. I called ahead to find out what was there, and they didn't know much. As a result, we brought lots of unnecessary stuff. When checking in, they sent us to the wrong cabin (in a completely different area). Here's some info in case it can help someone be more informed than we were: The camp store is well-stocked. They have all the basics, plus beer and wine. Wood is $7 per bundle and they will deliver to your site. Coffee is available at Grapes and Grinds. The lady that worked there is very knowledgeable--go to her with questions about the area. There are a couple of restaurants that deliver to the campground. Those were advertised on the map we got at registration. The pavilion sells pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage and coffee during the summer season 8-11am. We stayed in cabin KL05. KL01-KL07 are lodges with bathrooms. Don't confuse them with K101, etc. I don't know why they don't change the numbers...the staff can't even keep it straight. Anyway, the ones that start with KL are lodges (L for lodge). Ours was nice, clean and had the most comfortable queen mattress we've found in a campground cabin. Here's what's in the lodge, so maybe you won't have to pack so much: The queen bed is made with clean linens and pillows. There's a set of linens and pillows for the twin beds. All were fresh and clean. We only needed a fitted full sheet to cover the futon. There was a coverlet and pillow for that, but we didn't see any sheets. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. There are also hotel style shampoos and bar soaps. Bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths are provided. In the kitchen, there is a full-sized refrigerator with top freezer. There's a microwave and two-burner stove. No oven. There's a Kuerig with four pods of various flavors. There are pots and pans, eating and cooking utensils, bowls, a cutting board, cups and glasses, and measuring cups and spoons. There's dish detergent and a clean towel. There are paper towels, toilet paper and two trash bags. Outside there is a fire ring with picnic table. The fire ring has the big grill that flips so it can be over the fire. If you are going to use that, you will probably need a grill brush to clean it. Hope this helps someone pack. Have a great time!
