Campground Reviews

My dog was attacked twice in the dog park. The first night there we could not use our campfire ring or our picnic table because our neighbors were set up on them and we had to ask repeatedly for them to move. Which did not happen until the next morning. This is by far the loudest and most raucous KOA that I have stayed at.

it was great to be able to pay the additional fee to have locked in spots. As a Troop we needed to stay together. Two issues, for trick or treating, signage is needed for the tent area. We had no kids come and we bought a lot of candy but hardly anyone came. The other issue was the bathhouse is pretty far for elementary kids in the dark (need one closer). Hayride was too soon after check in at 1pm

Overall a great stay. However the sites where we were were very tight. We were right on top of each other.

stayed oct 6, 2023, weekend. nice park with plenty of activities and amenities. however, the jumping pillow was only open for a few hours and there are no baby/toddler swings.

Everyone seems to come out of their shell and let their hair down and join in activities and engage in conversation a lot more , which makes it more enjoyable and relaxing for everyone.

Had a great time

the bathrooms were very well kept and cleaned during out stay morning afternoon and night. Every employee that we encountered was very pleasant.

The tent site (234) wasn't marked or very level but it worked out well. It was nice not to be close to other tents/campers.

Everything was great except we couldn’t get the voice on FOX News station on the TV in our rented cabin…isn’t that strange…CNN and all other stations work, but who watches them!!!

The only thing I did not like was that I have had the same RV site for a few years only to find out that someone rented it for next year (2024) and I had to scramble to get another site close to family. We have 6 sites all next to or across from each other. Very unhappy about that change in policy, I can imagine that I am not the only person to have an issue with that.

Been coming since about 2010 for Halloween camping. Started with about 14 of us. There are about 30 of us now and always growing as family sees our fun times. Thanks!

We had a great time. We especially enjoyed all the Halloween decorations set up by KOA and many of the campers.

Great, as usual. Staff is friendly and helpful.

SIGHTS ARE TOO TIGHT

We stay at site 189 when we are here. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The trail to the Tavern is well lit and they are dog friendly! Camp K9 park is always clean and well maintained. Plenty of attractions and hiking only minutes away.

Nice campground, close to many historical places.

The only comment I have is when they are mowing and weed-eating around the campground, they should have deflectors on their weed eaters. This would help prevent grass from being thrown all over vehicles that are nearby

The campground was nice, however we were unhappy with the resort fee and paying for our dogs. We paid an extra $52.00 for nothing. What is a resort fee? On our trip we have stay at 6 different parks and not one of them has made us pay for our dogs. You advertised one price and when we book and come in you add extra fees that we have to pay because we made a reservation and couldn’t change.

A beautiful facility that the owners obviously take lots of pride in! My site was not very level and I had to put blocks under my leveling jacks. Full hook-ups were great. This campground had awesome WiFi that was useable during our entire 3-day stay! We will return!

Friendly staff. Slight difficulty getting our large rig in and around boulders, trees and other sites. Some tight turns for big rigs. Laundry room was great!

A great location for the area. Basically next door to the National Park and very close to Harper's Ferry. Amenities are great. We are tent campers and the spaces used for tent camping without electric & water hookups were not very adequate. Slopping ground. Lots of rocks. Other than that a terrific campground.

Great fun Trick or Treating weekend.

Enjoyed my stay. Only criticism is some of the sites are very unlevel.

Our annual trip was wonderful! It was our first time there for fall/Halloween and we enjoyed it. Lots of activities. I normally don't do haunted houses but I must say there was alot of hard work put into and it was very nice.

It was nice stay but the site I had was small 47#. That site and 46 should be one site. And site 46 right behind me had 3 dogs and they were never on a leash and pooped everywhere and the people never picked it up. The fire pit was so close to my unit. I could not use it. I was afraid the people behind me, We’re going to catch my unit on fire also due to how close they are to me with their fire

We rented spot 11 in the front. We love the location and level campsite. The disappointing part was the furniture provided. One of our patio chairs had a loose arm and the swing was falling apart. We paid more to have these items, and felt our friends in the lower level sites nearby had better quality furniture. We hope you can address these issues for future visits.

We had a great time Halloween camping and loved all the activities! Beware of the Haunted House though! It was scarier than we anticipated! Would prob not recommend for younger children but was very well done and would recommend for older kids and adults! If you are able Tomas a parent go through once first to check it out! Each kid is different and just wanted to throw this out there!

The girl that answered the phone was very grumpy and rude. Cut me off while I was talking, giving an answer before I even asked… and was not even what I called about. Our picnic table should not be next to the neighboring spot septic drain. Couldn’t eat outside our camper all weekend. Spot was too tight to move the table.

Sites need to be more level and not so close to each other

Great stay with family staying in cabin. Lots of fun things for the children. Shuttle from National Park was great. Only downside was how tight the RV spots are. For 1 day we had no neighbor on one side so we could stretch out, but after a 40 footer came next to us it was really tight.

Campground is one of the best I have stayed at. Only complaint some sites are hard to maneuver in with a large trailer in the wooded areas.

Very enjoyable! Kids love it! Will be back!

Always a great time.

Definitely one of the best KOA’s to stay at!!
Oct 02, 2023
First site was way to small(site 93). I have a 35ft with 3 slides. Had to step over the trailer I front sewer connection to sit at the picnic table and awnings would almost touch trailer in front. Only thing office would do is upgrade us to a patio for $100 more and have us the worse one when a better one was empty all weekend. No one gives any thought to site assignments

Love this campground. Excellent location. This is a very clean park. Lots of amenities for everyone. Haunted house was really well done. All the sites were pretty nice. Some are more level than others. Definitely will stay again.

Learned that we shouldn't have camped there till the warmer weather when they open the whole campground. All campers were in one location, close to road and local homes. I didn't enjoy my view of the locals homes that were less than 100 ft from our site. I was hoping to be in the wooded area . But service was great. Employees were friendly. I would go back when they open the whole facility.
