The WiFi is terrible and so is the TV. Also I had the same site (32) that I had previously. There was an issue with the sewer had blocked. They promptly came and corrected that problem and put lime around the sewer inlet which killed the odor. The problem is three weeks later the lime was never cleaned up and got all over my shoes and dump hose and gloves.

I gave 5 stars because this is a really nice camp site. However we asked for a pull thru that would accommodate our 30' camper trailer and our truck, with slide out. We arrived after 6pm so the office was closed. we found the assigned camp site and it was not able to accommodate our full rig. We moved to a different site and there was no way to notify the office of our move.

Convenient location and beautiful park. If the park had been full, we would have had difficulty fitting into the back in space. As it was, had to go through another site and move the fire ring to find a spot on our site that was level enough right to left so that our leveling system would engage.

Sewer lines were so high above the ground that we had to disconnect due to the odor. Don’t rely on pictures,they are deceiving� The younger staff employees are not too friendly. The prices I feel were quite high.

Seems to be going down with new ownership. Shop is nearly empty by October, Wifi is absolutely terrible and prices seem to be going up. We have been going there every October for over 12 years and while the staff is still great the ownership changes are starting to show.

Sights were nice and staff was great. My complaint is the bath houses could be cleaner and the showers did not have hot water.

Reservations should NOT be allowed until the present renter leaves. We (a group of 4) have been going to HF in Oct for years. We tried booking for next year and our spot has already been reserved. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! We should have the first choice to return to “our” spot.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Perviously, reservations for the following year opened in March. Begining in 2025, reservations were available for next year begining on the 1st of each month, i.e. October 1st.

We originally booked a site that would fit our camper and paid a lock fee, but when we arrived, they had moved our spot down and told us that’s what we booked, and that was not the truth

Site 157 was booked and a confirmation for that site was sent. We are sorry if this was not the site you intened, but it was not changed.

Less perks and benefits higher prices change in booking policy is junk this was our 15th year in a row and may be our last. There is less and less to do more sites being added so it’s more crowded and crazy price increases. Not happy with the changes the las few years.

Stay was fun, staff was great, very overpriced on everything. We have been going for 15 years and as a group, we are looking at alternative locations. There is over 30 of us in our group.

Great staff, campground seems well taken care of. Expected the concrete sites to be level but they weren't, in fact we had to raise the front end of our camper as high as it would go and it still was a tad off.

We enjoyed our stay but probably will not be returning due to the cost. We have no small children and it’s not worth the cost for us.

Staff is generally very nice. Campsites are ok, most aren't level. When we had a small problem with the water, maintenance responded ASAP. Rules are not enforced. There were political flags, loud and drunk parties, and a general disrespect for neighbors. Staff doesn't drive around very often. Well appointed store. Lower bathhouse needs some TLC and was out of soap for much of the time.

I had a tent camp site for the weekend and the site was fine. I needed to use the “comfort station” for showering and using the restroom. The bathrooms were dirty and lacked soap in the soap dispensers. The showers were gross. Every stall had muddy water on the floor with hair and debris. The water pressure cut out every time someone flushed a toilet.

Well kept campground, lots of amenities and super nice staff. It was our first Halloween weekend there and we were very impressed with everything going on. Great job!!

The tent pad was full of rocks. There was no quiet time from 10 to 8 people partied until one in the morning every single night we were there.

We stayed for a Halloweekend for the first time. It was GREAT! Lots of entertaining activities for the kids. The pillow jump was also a favorite. We appreciated the cleanliness of the bathroom/houses and the ease of finding electrical outlets and water when needed. We may visit more KOA's after visiting yours! Thanks

Campground was uncomfortably packed. Cabin 136 had an unacceptable gravel incline to access - not warning of us this is terrible - definitely not accessible to older people or those with balance issues. Bathrooms were dirty and out of soap. I’m so disappointed in this KOA.

We had a GREAT stay! The Halloween events were awesome & spooky. Our kids LOVED the haunted house, game room, pancake breakfast. Great area to explore for history and nature. Our deluxe cabin was cozy and comfortable. Thanks!! We’ll be back!

The only issue is when people are at their campsite after quiet time with no music or yelling and security feels the need to tell you to quiet down it is a little absurd. Our campsite was close to the store and he said he could hear us down there… we were just talking! And may I add he was rude!! And no riding golf carts after quiet time again absurd!!

Kudos all round except the bathrooms behind the main office - we were there 4 days. The same toilet paper was on the floor for the entire time, and the same stall was without toilet paper for four days. They were not cleaned daily as I would expect for such a large campground.

Very tight campsites …stricter enforcement of quiet time needed especially concerning those campers who need to watch their big screen tv’s outside of camper to view a football game at high volume

We enjoyed our spot (59). We did Harpers Ferry the 1st day & Gettysburg the 2nd day. Both close to our site. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Bathrooms not cleaned, pretty disgusting! Not typical of KOA campgrounds, not sure if there is a staff problem or what but no cleaning for the two days we were there.

Had great time in October, plenty of activities for the kids. Camp ground was clean and well kept. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. General store was open until 10pm Thursday - Saturday, which was nice for supplies later at night. The campground was set back in a quieter area which made for a better experience. A majority of the campground had some tree cover. Great staff.

Compared to other KOA's, this one could take some notes. Weekly activities are severely underwhelming, and it does not seem there is any maintenance for bugs (three summers we have witnessed this). However, the location is perfectly sandwiched between Harper's Ferry and easily accessible areas like Frederick and Shepherdstown.

A beautiful location close to great hikes and history. The team at this KOA are very friendly and the service level is high. Easy to navigate for big rigs. Facilities are consistently clean and well maintained. After the July 4th weekend, the team diligently cleaned every vacated space of debris and the usual camping detritus left by weekenders. In two days camp was back to normal. Put this campground on your must visit list.

Great location. Some spots are a little difficult and be careful of poison ivy. But staff is friendly, bathrooms are clean, and had good amount to do at the campground. (Also just wish the pool had an adults happy hour)
