We had a lovely site and enjoyed it very much. The only negative was a group of young boys on the park bikes running through our site and over our electric and water hookups repeatedly.

Didn't like the rental of the three wheeler bikes because lots of kids going up and down the campground road and creating a safety issue .Not peaceful on saturday night because kids slaped twice on my camper and this was very stressful.However,the security person came and check fairly quickly when called.Good location to visit the Halifax region.

the staff and owner were very helpful and easy to get along with , the park is well laid out and was really clean . It was nice to have a slow river in the park for kayaking in .I was travelling across Canada and stayed in many KOA and this is about the one that had breakfast , and that was just great . Looking forward to the next time i am out this way .

There are many lovely spots in the park. We however With many others had the unfortunate experience of camping in what we assume was at one time possible a parking lot. But now has services. I rig actually was parked in an exit E13. The cost we paid $60+, was too high for our location. They family of 5 had a big fight in their rig and we could hear everything in the rain.

Enjoy the stay. Lots of activities for kids. Our Deluxe cabin was ideal for our needs. Would like to see it a little bit more attention paid to the cleaning of the barbecue in advance of arrival. I had to give it a good scrub before we could use it.

One of the worst KOAs we have stayed at. Disorganized welcome center and full of clutter around main office reception building. The grass was not mowed around our campsite. Vehicles parked everywhere making it very difficult to maneuver our RV to our campsite. Will not be back that's for sure.

This park is well organized and lovely. It is a particular haven for children and there are many things to do for them including the pool, boat rentals, pancake house, jumping castle, playgrounds, fishing, ice cream hut, movie nights. The wood is well priced and you receive enough in a bundle for a good evening's fire. The staff are lovely and plentiful and the store is well stocked.

Love the stay, but they offered a breakfast one morning at 8 o’clock didn’t open until nine was disappointed in that because we didn’t have time to get it and had to go to Mac Donald’s in the way home

Sites were very cramped. Numerous sites were completely under water due to heavy rain and the campground's proximity to the river. Garbage and recycling bins overflowing. Pool and laundry not centrally located. Pretty disappointed with this KOA.

First night was short, we pulled in late. Woke up in the morning and I stepped out in knee deep water the lake was over flowing. We moved to a dry site to have breakfast then left by 11am. The second visit the following week we were given a site away from the lake but the site was still muddy and wet. I asked to move to the next site since my daughter was in a wheelchair but they said no.

The campground was way too noisy. It doesn't seem like any staff enforces quiet hours at night. Kids run wild throughout campgrounds as well which isn't the campsites fault but still was frustrating as we had no privacy whatsoever. Our campsite was right next to Construction on the property too so we had that noise all day.

Compare to other KOA, very small entry way to the way.. no parking next to the laundromat... Sorry but couldn't recommend this KOA..

We enjoyed our stay there. We did a lot of site seeing from here as it was close to many tourist sites. The people were friendly and helpful.

Joe the owner , is great! Always tries his best to accomadate you , however possible. Always have fun there, we always go for Canada Day week end, and they do a great job of entertaining the kids etc. Would love to see Chocolate Bar Bingo & also wish that the Pancake house would stay open an hour later lol ( it closes at 10:30)… Thanks again, we will be back! �

Late night music and loud voices for past 1am for 3 nights straight. We had to run the air conditioner full blast to drown out the noise and nothing seemed to have been done about it

The staff there was extremely helpful. We camped for 6 nights in a tent with severe rain each and every day. They were supportive and helpful, doing what they could go minimize our soggy stay! When July 1 st fireworks were cancelled in halifax we came back to the Kia disappointed that our whole days events were cancelled and KOA did a beautiful job of fireworks for us. It was amazing .

Very kid friendly.Great activities for Canada Day.Amazing fireworks display.Friendly staff Unfortunately it rained the entire 6 days we were there .Our site was ++ wet !!Was glad we had rubber boots to be able to get to our truck. The only complaint we have was the lack of enforcement of the quiet time--basketball was being played outside our trailer at 3 am.

We have camped at KOA all last year and again this year. Joe and his wife are amazing to deal with. Nice campsites, clean bathrooms and fireworks on July 1 were awesome.

We stayed at Halifax West KOA in a 32 foot travel trailer with slideouts on both sides. There was ample room for our camper and tow vehicle. The site was level and clean. All hook-ups worked well. The campground staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definately stay here again.

The campground is a little run down compared to most KOAs that I have stayed at. It would appear that the post-Covid employment situation has cause the campground to be understaffed.

Our favorite RV park on our recent Maritime expedition! Liked the riverfront sites and all the trees but next time will know to request a site away from the kiddie recreation areas. Good location for Halifax, Peggy's Cove and the coast and plan on returning ASAP.

The site are great. People are friendly as are the staff. Lots of kids playing which is always nice to see. Only down fall was some of the laundry machines not working causing a delay and staff members not following speed limit signs. Still thinks it is a awesome place

Great place to go camping in a cabin or a camper. Wonderful playground and bouncy trampoline, ice cream and a pool. There's also kayaks that you could rent out in the Lake.
