Crow's Nest is a neat opportunity I didn't know about the first time we stayed here. Hope to come back soon!

Site was tight with bushes and trees. Difficult to maneuver

It was our second time there and not our last. We enjoy the facilities and friendly staff. It has all we need when we set up. The only thing I would recommend is cutting the bushes against the rail by the shower’s next to the office; they just extend out into the walk way. It’s minor and doesn’t take away from the great staff and facilities. Thank you.

We had fantanstic weather and a really nice corner (more secluded) spot for our RV. Second time this year we came for a stay, got to visit a few more areas we didn't have time for last April. The hot tub was out of commission for a couple days, but not our whole week, so we took advantage of it last 3 days!

the park manager and employee were real nice helpful

Tight spots. Friendly and clean but location far from Gulf Shores and Pensacola beaches. 30-45 minutes to beaches. No high speed WiFi and limited cable channels.

Nice area. Very poor wi-fi, so-so cable. Friendly people

Wonderful!

I was called and met by a very friendly and enthusiastic couple. The pedestal, water and sewer are strangely located. They are mid to forward point of the spot. Additionally the pedestal is quite tall. Because of the location I was very concerned that my slide out would hit it. I was between a rock and a hard place. I was able to thread the needle and stay out of the tree & pedestal.

The campground was nice and clean. The staff friendly and helpful. This has nothing to do with the campground or staff and hopefully was just an anomaly but the campers themselves were not friendly. This is the first time I ever encountered that. But nevertheless we had a very nice weekend.

We had a great time. Loved walking to the bay each morning to watch the sun rise.

Beautiful campground, lots of shade. Well kept.

B5 Campsite extremely poor conditions for a tent set up especially at a premium cost. The landscape appeared to be heavily used as a driveway had packed down sand with ruts and uneven very hard surface. Under the impression that was last site available until the next day was offered a chance to relocate to another site which would have been inconvenient to do so.

The family that runs this campground were SO nice and friendly - the park was packed for the Blue Angels show and they handled everything with ease. It was definitely a great place to stay - highly recommend - Faith Goodman

We had a great time visiting with family & watching the Blue Angel show across the bay. Thank you for placing us so close together, it helped when running back & forth for items. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The pups loved the K-9 park & we felt very safe at night with the lights.

We live in Montana and soon we will deal with temps close too -40. When we have a chance to get away to someone warm we run for the summer. This KOA was so peaceful and quiet. Being right off the bay was a perfect start to the day and a perfect way to end day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to stay.

The manager and staff were wonderful. We had to extend our stay twice because of the back to back hurricanes. They were able to accommodate us in our time of need

We are repeat "glampers" and I'd like to offer an objective review for everyone! First, the positives: We stayed in the Starfish for 2 nights and the Sand Dollar for 1 night. While the description of the Sand Dollar on line is incorrect (there are no bunk beds), we loved our stay. We preferred the Starfish space because it DID have bunk beds. Both the Starfish and Sand Dollar have mini-fridge, Keurig, and microwave with a full bathroom. There is a grill and a firepit. I am LOVING the update to TWO split level mini ac units. Our last visit (years ago) only had one AC and it malfunctioned most of the time. It was SO nice this time to not be hot! Hint: crank them up and LEAVE THEM ON so it's nice and cool when you return from a day on the beach. This KOA is located directly on the bay with a lovely fishing pier and an incredible view. We saw dolphins daily. The pier faces East, so the view of the sunrise each day was breathtaking. There is a swimming and a fishing area, but I DO NOT recommend the swimming area. People fish on both sides of the pier, and we all know what chumming the water does in an ocean. We saw no sharks, but took no chances either. There are also random hooks and things that careless fishing left behind. We all caught fish off the pier using shrimp for bait. Were they huge? No, but we made memories and had a blast. The camp store is well stocked and reasonably priced. I do recommend shopping for necessities at local grocery store or big box store. They are a few miles away. The camp store is good for a quick trip, though. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The kids LOVED the pool. It was simply too hot during our visit to consider the use of the hot tub, but it looked nice. There is a large colony of feral kitties under the separate outdoors bathroom/shower area near the pier. There are kittens and adults. They are very frightened and stay away, but they were sweet to see. We love cats, though. They did find our fish bait on the patio and finished the shrimp off for us. Now for the negatives: The office staff keep very limited hours, and it is difficult to reach them by phone. They never responded to emails sent in the weeks leading up to our arrival. That was VERY frustrating. Both the Star fish and Sand Dollar cabins had "iffy" smoke detectors. The Sand Dollar's was hanging out of the ceiling, and the Star Fish was missing entirely though the wires were there. There are fire extinguishers in the kitchen. Thank goodness, we didn't need them! We were given the wrong key to the Star Fish and couldn't get in our room. We got back to the office just as they were closing for the day to swap keys. Then the door knob nearly fell off as we were checking out, and we couldn't lock the door. They did send maintenance right away, so that's good news! Conclusion: I have to say that once again, we loved our stay at this KOA. Overall, you cannot go wrong with this choice. With the exception of a few quirky "negatives," it's a great place. Dated, quaint, off the beaten track, and peaceful. Exactly what we needed. It's about a 15 minute drive to Johnson Beach and about a 40 minute drive to Pensacola Beach. We visited both every day.

We had a easy time pulling in and setting up, the while camp ground is comfy and we'll maintained. And the manager was so helpful knowing what to do locally!
