Bathrooms were very nice. We and our dogs loved the nature trail. The grounds were well cared for. Definitely an above average KOA!

What a great spot for getting off I-74! We stayed to and fro on a road trip. Dog park, walking trail, clean bathrooms, and nice nature setting for being that accessible to the interstate!

The Holloween campout was so fun this past weekend. Wow the owner and staff did an amazing job. We can't wait till next year. Great job to all of you. The campers reqlly came out with all their decorations trick or treating costumes and pumpkin carving contest. This is a must for next year. So you might wanna mark it on your calender and reserve your spot for next year. Again thank you!

For me it was a place to stay while I worked on the Scenic Drive. I was pleased with the clean restroom and site. I have stayed with you for over 20 years and have seen many changes. I love the nature trail and how well it is kept up, even having benches to rest on. I plan to reserve my site for 2025 as soon as you open in the spring. Thanks for a good stay.

Small, well maintained campground. Sites are quite close, but pretty tame, and wasn't overwhelming with golf carts running around.

Enjoyed Halloween weekend at Galesburg East ! Alot of improvements to campground since we camped here last. We are definitely looking forward to next years Halloween activities! Already booked.

Mark is doing an amazing job with his campground! It was extremely clean, the grounds are maintained meticulously, and he has added so many amenities to this campground to elevate the campers’ stay. It was amazing how many kids were running around and having fun, jumping on the jump pad, and playing mini golf, and trick or treating. I am so excited to see what else Mark does to this campground!

This location is the cleanest and best kept KOA I've ever been to. Mark and staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The bathrooms and laundry rooms were spotless. The cabins were absolutely beautiful and I really liked that they were not all in a row so I could be with my family that had RV's and campers. The activities and walking trails were a hit too! We are coming back!

We felt very comfortable there. There were many things to do also. I took pictures to show our family so maybe we could camp there next season. Kathy, the gal in the office was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking to her. The campsites were very nice too. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely relaxing site, lots of recent modifications to a very high standard. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Lots of things to have a go at on site, as well as they were setting up for Halloween, with some great spooky additions to the site, would recommend, very family orientated site, would definitely go there again.

Very nice campground taken care of very well. Bathrooms showers brand new and beautiful. Cabins look new as well. Huge trees, large grassy sites, lots of room. Surrounded by by cornfields, no road noise or trains.

I very much appreciate this KOA, which was new to me. I had to arrive very late, between 10 and 11 p.m., and the manager on the phone at 5:00 p.m. was extremely helpful with instructions. Dawn revealed a very pretty campground, nice mature trees included. I have a spiffy 19’ motorhome, so I appreciated the well-arranged, well cared for community bathroom too. Thanks so much!

Everything was good except the WiFi and the sites were to close together

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately we cannot beam Wi-Fi through your camper to make an excellent signal inside. We do the best we can and we do have sites that have dedicated WiFi at each site.

Very nice campground with many new upgrades. The have a beautiful mowed grass hiking trail through the woods and around the pond. Everything is clean and well kept. We would definitely recommend this campground.

Koa Galesbug east Knoxville Koa Holiday the best camping shade,streaming, in and out, kids play ground, flat, we go out of our way to camp there.

We actually found this campground using AI to help us plan a Memorial Day motorcycle/camping weekend and it worked out excellent! We camp with a 33' ATC Toy Hauler we tow with an F-350 quad cab long bed. At check-in, we were created by a professional and friendly staff member in a clean and orderly office/camp-store. Our pull-through site was more than ideal and we had enough room to pull the Hauler in, put the garage door down to unload, and park our truck next to it. If you're a motorcyclist and concerned about their gravel drive, don't be. The gravel is well compacted and maintained. Very easy and safe to ride on. Everything at the site worked well and was well maintained. Motorcycle riding in the area is really great by Illinois standards. The campground is ideally located for this. If you need anything for your RV, Galesburg has everything, including a Wal-Mart Supercenter, and is minutes away. This came in handy when we woke up to a flat-tire on Memorial Day. Super clean bathroom here too! Definitely a nice KOA.
