Meet Your Hosts

Welcome to our happy place! Home away from home!

Born and raised on the East Coast, I spent my young adult life in New York & Miami. I recently relocated here from Denver, CO, where I lived previously for 10-years.
I am a proud father of 2 amazing sons. My son, Austin, is a consultant for a large Chicago accounting firm. My son, Blake, is a biomedical graduate degree from Vanderbilt University and currently pursuing his PhD at Harvard.
I had a rewarding career as a life insurance agent for 30-years. I enjoyed teaching my clients how to use this as a vehicle for tax-free retirement. I sold my insurance practice in 2009 and quickly realized I was not ready to retire. With a new passion and my love for camping, I decided to invest in the future of this beloved campground and its deeply rooted 50-year history.
It has been my honor to embrace the stories of our returning guests. It is a privilege to be part of this happy place where generations of guests return each season to make wonderful memories. My staff and I are happy to be your hosts. Thank you for choosing Galesburg East KOA!
