It is a great place to stay - at some point, we will do more than overnight. I wish there was a reduced rate for just the overnight stays - we didn't get to use any services and arrived at about 7 p.m. and left in the morning - we could not use any of the services (pool closed, we are a motorcoach so BR facilities are not used) so even at $66+ for the 15 hours we stayed could be discounted more.

Great place to stay. We wish we had asked for a pull thru site. We had a back in site that was great but we couldn't open our awning. Folks here are friendly and park is well kept!

Short stay. Was greeted by friendly staff. Was informed of camp rules. Guide took me to my site which was gravel and level. Nice quiet place.

I prefer more space. The cost of our site seemed high for what we got. I also never got a receipt of the final cost of our stay. Not sure I got my membership discount. The staff was nice and friendly.

We were there to attend a wedding in the Fredericksburg area & our cabin (#5) didn't have hot water in the bathroom sink. There was hot water in the bathtub, so we were able to use that but was a little more difficult. The light fixture over the bathroom sink ( middle bulb) was continually blinking & also was a pain for my wife trying to get her makeup done. The park was very clean & quiet. We.

Super friendly people. One of the guys came out and helped us back in (after he overheard us telling someone this was our first trip with our casita) Thankful for his patience. We came from tent camping so it was more packed in then we anticipated or were used to, but over all clean and very nice.

The campsites are larger than any other KOA I have visited. Normally I avoid KOA campgrounds, but this one is nice.

Not able to get cable tv. Very weak signal. They need to get a booster to the cable.

We loved the parklike setting with mature trees. Very clean and well maintained. Stocked store. Friendly staff.

Very well-maintained, well-managed park with great people, especially Dennis who accompanies all to their sites, and will go far behind to make you comfortable. He offered to take and fill our propane tanks because it was going to be chilly at night.

It's a beautiful camp, the store is very nice, as is the staff, but we were very surprised with the laundry facility. We were at this camp 2 yrs ago, and a few of the washers/dryers had the SAME "out of order" signs on them. Covid impacted many things, but it's hard to believe the laundry fac could not be repaired or upgraded in 2 (two) years. The newest sign said an upgrade is planned. We'll see.

Such a nice KOA. Woodsy and quiet. Roxanne and Slate made me feel like part of the family, friendly and professional. Hope to come back in the future for a longer stay!

Very nice campground. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were well kept! The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Stayed this time in a cabin and loved it! Great friendly staff as always. Store with everything you could need in a pinch including Virginia beer. Firewood delivered to your site as needed. Fantastic place.

It was alright. The dryers in the laundry room were broken. Bugs came out of the shower drain in our cabin. Firewood for sale at the camp store burned very quickly and did not last long. Overall, probably wouldn't stay again for the price we paid for the cabin.

Didn't understand long term customers not able to secure a patio location? Dog park looks inadequate? I would suggest a different trash set up? Employees spent a lot of man hours picking up trash? Employees were very nice & friendly! We stayed here two months, never had a follow up from management?? She wasn't very friendly? Stephanie I believe was her name?

The campground had many trees and was on the quiet side. It was located near Civil War sites. I do think the laundry needs to be up graded. Washing machines were good. However, 3 of the 4 dryers were broken.

We stay here as an overnight or two in our way to OBX. The park is clean, quiet and peaceful. Lots of shade.

Lovely, wooded , peacefully quiet setting. Great paved roads within park, gravel FHU with 50 amp sites. Immaculately clean spacious bathrooms & showers. Many of each. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. However, poor signage off Hwy. , extremely confusing direction after exit 118. Hwy. 1 not posted. Roads off Hwy. 1 to park are hairpin blind turns, no shoulders & drop offs. $81 overnight, bit high but close to east coast & our Nations Capital

Ran into truck trouble on 95 on a Thursday before Easter. We needed to find something very quickly and close to a dealership to have the truck fixed. Luck was on our side when we saw a KOA 10 miles from the dealer. I tend to over research before picking where to stay, however, we had no time. I booked a site literally 5 minutes before arriving. The grounds are beautiful, shady and tucked into the woods. Plenty of room to walk and for my son to ride his bike. A great playground which he loved as well. There is also a pond on site which adds to the charm. The general store/office was nicely stocked. They did not have milk or butter but had a couple of grocery items such as eggs and hot dogs. It had rained a lot the night before so the grassy areas were pretty soggy but the staff were actively trying to get any sitting water off the sites and roadways. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. If our travels bring us back to this area, we would definitely book again.

Stayed at this campground many times. Great location. This is the first time they charged extra for pets. Not sure why they need to do this. Maybe they charge extra for kids too. Campground prices are high enough without adding extra charges.
