The facilities were clean, easy check in but the rustic cabin I stayed in was freezing. I had the heater on as high as it would go overnight but it would not get above 67 degrees the entire stay. Luckily I had a sleeping bag with me, but I shouldn't have had to use a sleeping bag and blankets to sleep INSIDE. It was honestly a miserable experience.

It's a nice campground. We stayed in the fall. The weather was cool and damp. Not much to do around the campground this time of year. You'll have to go outside the campground to find things to do. The Civil War battlefields in Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Wilderness are very nice. The only issue we had was the cabin next to us that went in for the night and left their fire ring blazing away.

The campground was nice however a bit smaller than some. Plus side to that was you were able to walk everywhere easily. Everyone was friendly and super responsive to any requests. Only con would be the size of the shower stalls which made it hard for when you have kids.

Stayed 1 night and Loved this KOA. Friendly staff who escorted us to our site and delivered wood for our fire. Site was level and near a dog walk. Campground itself clean and neat with pretty views. We will stay again

We have been KOA members for over 10 years and have stayed at many of their campgrounds. Fredericksburg VA has always been one of our favorites. Entire campground is clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly. You won’t go wrong there.

Wish the dryers were fixed.Nice improvements from several yrs ago. Trash was forgotten one day. Overall nice stay.

Personnel sympathique, sites de bonne dimension; Évitez les sites sous les arbres à l’automne car il y a beaucoup de feuilles qui tombent, ce qui nous oblige à les retirer avant de fermer les extensions

Great site, very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet when we were there. One of the few sites in the area that allowed a single night booking. Very easy to book online, and refunded us our military discount on arrival as couldnt do this online.

the camping cabin we rented suited our needs. the beds were decent and the heat made the cabin comfortable. The only downside was the length of the walk clear back up to the bathroom, but that's to be expected. I don't know, however, if I would stay here if I intended to stay in camp as the sites are packed tightly together and there is little privacy.

Would have given 5 stars, but we were not as close as we would have liked to the rest of our party. It would be nice to be able to pick sites, especially when traveling with other campers.

The interior of the cabin was very clean and had all of the amenities needed for our stay. The cabin description did not indicate everything that was included on the interior, so we ended up purchasing many items that were not necessary. I recommend the description is updated on the website to avoid overload. The wifi reception was also terrible, which is why I did not give KOA five stars.

Stay was great, but not long enough. So we'll be back. Lots of History to see an visit in the area. Only problem for me was how fast drivers go in and out of the park. Told at check in the speed but some people don't listen. Thank you for our stay and see you next year

Wonderful stay in cabin #11. CLEAN, well laid out cabin with a comfortable bed and very nice kitchenette. We loved the BBQ pit and the grill. Great proximity to KOA store. The only issue that we had was in not receiving a heads up that stair solar lights were being installed on the other side of the wall as we were napping. We loved our stay!

We stayed for 1 night and were treated well. Had a nice level site. Well off the highway but easy access. Good staff, informative and friendly. Nice to have oropane sales on site.

Great hidden gem. Campground well kept and the bathrooms/showers spotless The road from the highway to campground was recently paved- no shoulders and drop off steep in places. Not big rig friendly when traffic coming the other way. Hope this gets fixed.

Nous sommes arrêtés pour une seule nuit, mais nous avons été enchantés de ce camping. Le camping est très tranquille. La dame à l'accueil était très gentille et avenante avec nous. Nous étions 2 couples et elle nous a accomodés en nous plaçant un à côté de l'autre. J'y retournerai, c'est certain.

Just an overnight stay while traveling. Nice campground that's a little off the beaten path. Nice and quiet. Shower could use a bit more water pressure but overall it's a nice place to stop.

Always great. We’ve stayed here 3 or 4 times now. It’s away from freeway noise, Quiet. Management is great. We already have reservations for next year.

This has been my 3rd year in a row staying for the Halloween weekend. It's always so much fun and my daughter enjoys playing with the other kids. Will stay again next year.

Small, clean park and staff are very organized. Shower stalls are enclosed with a door that you can lock with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, wooded , peacefully quiet setting. Great paved roads within park, gravel FHU with 50 amp sites. Immaculately clean spacious bathrooms & showers. Many of each. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. However, poor signage off Hwy. , extremely confusing direction after exit 118. Hwy. 1 not posted. Roads off Hwy. 1 to park are hairpin blind turns, no shoulders & drop offs. $81 overnight, bit high but close to east coast & our Nations Capital

Ran into truck trouble on 95 on a Thursday before Easter. We needed to find something very quickly and close to a dealership to have the truck fixed. Luck was on our side when we saw a KOA 10 miles from the dealer. I tend to over research before picking where to stay, however, we had no time. I booked a site literally 5 minutes before arriving. The grounds are beautiful, shady and tucked into the woods. Plenty of room to walk and for my son to ride his bike. A great playground which he loved as well. There is also a pond on site which adds to the charm. The general store/office was nicely stocked. They did not have milk or butter but had a couple of grocery items such as eggs and hot dogs. It had rained a lot the night before so the grassy areas were pretty soggy but the staff were actively trying to get any sitting water off the sites and roadways. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. If our travels bring us back to this area, we would definitely book again.

Stayed at this campground many times. Great location. This is the first time they charged extra for pets. Not sure why they need to do this. Maybe they charge extra for kids too. Campground prices are high enough without adding extra charges.
