I like it because it is remote. Don’t expect Wi-Fi, it doesn’t work most of the time. Awaken by taking a cold shower and don’t expect the Driers to work,, they don’t check the propane tanks,, they find out when the people tell them. I like the roomy sites,, but they are selling/leasing the good ones. Sorry but these seem to be on going problems that are not being addressed.

Tried to call this campground for 3 hrs. - no answer. Old picnic table, no fire ring/grill at my campsite. Gas powered ATVs too loud, and allowed to cruise campground. Toilets were NOT cleaned for 4 days, out of paper towels x 36 hrs. Friendly staff and helpful maintenance staff. The pool looked nice, but I didn't use it. Could increase stock in store.

It was OK but it seemed very disorganized from the time we got there till the time we left. My niece rented one of the camper trailers on site and the toilet backed up and they had no power. They refused to help her and were very rude. She went without power and clogged toilet late into he evening. Luckily our family was able to work on it and fix it but when she reported they were very rude.

I love to stay there very much, I go every year with my family and see changes a lot of over those years. They are great people.BUT they have a problem that can be solve with a little effort.The restroom facilities are dated and dirty and filthy, the toilets are in not working conditions and the showers need a little more attention. Otherwise is a great place to camp.

needed to cancel our reservations, no body answer the phone, called every day for 4 days. Mail box always full. Tried calling corp KOA same thing. Says try again later, goodbye! Ended up going after all. Very few trees, Very un level sites. Sewer dump pipe was plugged, mess to clean up. Daughter reserved a lake front site, paid extra, no such thing. No staff seen. Nobody wearing masks. plus more

The clubhouse, bathhouse & laundry are in need of serious attention. Not clean/sanitary , not well maintained. Be nice if you could install a change machine in the laundry please!

The only thing I would like to see changed is the bathrooms and showers very very dirty. Also maybe shock the pool when Noone is swimming in there.

Would not recommend or stay there.. Sites not defined, no one directs you to a site. We let the office staff know we were leaving and did not expect a refund for the first night but they kept our payment for the entire time... maybe they plan to use it to improve their campground

Water pressure Very Very poor........ 50 amp breaker blew non-stop...... had to plug RV into back side of plug station WAY TOO MANY young children driving around in large 4 wheel ATV's and and motor cycles. Kids as young as 5 yrs old..... Someone ran over my sewer hose twice..... The RV sites need to better marked.... They are very poorly marked..... Septic openings all over the place

Way too packed in, no privacy, bathrooms are gross, almost all showers were broken, pool was dirty, campers inconsiderate of everyone

Left a lot to be desired and not on par with other stays at KOA campgrounds. Some sites do not have working power, water, sewer and you get to guess which one does! Amenities seemed newer but were dirty (especially bathrooms). No direct access to the trails in the Ocala National Forrest either, which was the main reason we booked this campground. Good learning experience; we wont be back.

Since you started selling lots the rest of the park is put on the back burner. The lots are unlevel and very soft dirt. The water pressure was very low the 3 days we were stayed there and there was no picnic tables or fire rings to go around. Asked for a table and was told it would be after 6 PM the first day and never received one. I and 3 other campers will not be returning.

Meh. Caters to people that live there now rather than campers. Quiet hours used to be 11pm. Trail access has been cut off but I understand that is forestry rules. Not overly thrilled with the direction this koa is going.

After checking in we were told to pick a spot. WHAT. Well after figuring out where the spots were the first one power did not work. Moved to second spot the breaker outside kept blowing. Moved to third spot had to move it was owned. Finally after fourth move we found a spot. The trail to fishing is like climbing a mountain. To much for old folks. Won’t be back.

The water pressure is very low in the campground and in the showers. The bathrooms were very dirty when I arrived and after complaining they were cleaned somewhat. Commodes stayed clogged most of the time. The quality of the campground has definitely gone down since I was there two years ago.

They need to fix the way they do reservations so that they know what spots they have....they also need to work on the sewer at the sites

KOA website stated that the tent sites have electrical hook-ups; but they are for RV plugs only. We were lucky the nearest hardware store (salt springs 23miles) had an adapter. Please have the website indicate the electrical hook-up requirements. A lot of ATV's at this KOA. The staff, pool, club house, showers/restrooms were great. We enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely enjoyed every second of the 4 days spent here during spring break. During the times of Covid, I couldn't have chose a safer, more relaxed and simply gorgeous place to spend a few days. KOA staff was awesome, helpful and very informative of the area. As a local, I learned new things and trust me , I asked a lot of questions. This staff had the answers! Thanks Ocklawaha KOA Crew!

Restrooms were never cleaned.No toilet paper.Brought to there attention twice.Ants everywhere.Very unprofessional staff.Not very helpful.Power box was duck tape to post.Dogs barked most of night ect ect

Upon arrival, there was no assistance out in the campground as to where to park. The hookups are scattered. Some do not have sewer. The power and water hookups are scattered. As I was dumping my waste tank, the sewer backed up. I had a 3' high poop fountain for a few minutes. No one in the office cared there was sewage scattered all over the grass. Very poor WIFI and very weak cell service.

This is the most unorganized campground I have ever stayed in. Sites are not clearly marked. The sites do not match up properly with sewer and power. Some sites may not even have a sewer or vice versa. Some you hook up to only to find the power doesn't work. When we left our friends went to flush the black water and the sewer backed up. The office didn't seem too interested. Will not be back.

Should have told us on phone that no way to get to forest to ride side by side til fri ,sat and sun when we called. Owner not so nice, workers on the other hand were super friendly and helpful. Was nice that they trailered you to trail on weekends. Would probably do it again only do a weekend stay not a week.

Aalway a pleasureable visit in the check in, roomy campground with lots of sites. The pool and club house are huge and very nice. Our only complaint is there are no picnic tables to speak off makes it hard for tent campers to be able to cook and have a meal thats not on the ground and for RVs to eat outside. So please put some picnic tables on the sites. Otherwise Love Lake Ocklawaha KOA

Called 1 month in advance to the stay, and reserved a spot at a set rate. Fast forward to the day of arrival. Got to the campground after a LONG drive from NC to Florida to find that they don’t take reservations. They had also reconfigured all the site numbers, and they had increased the rates with no advanced notice to us at all. Would not stay at this one again.

Never could get WiFi to work. No tv. Very off the grid remote. Nice large grassy spaces but lots of residents/long term stays. Our neighbor would power wash his four quads almost daily using a portable generator right next to our slide out. Loud! Talked for hours outside our bedroom at night. Hour drive to nearest Walmart. We left two days early for quiet. Staff was friendly though.

We had a great time. The only complaint we have is that the campground is pretty remote and the store had very little to offer. Other than that we loved the campground and the staff was fabulous.

We wouldn't stay here again. Hodge podge of camp sites. Hard to figure out where they even are. No one to take you to your site, told to "just pick one". Kids riding 4 wheeler in and out between campers at high speed.Very dangerous and seems no one that works there is ever around. You have to wait for a trailer to take you across the road to ride your ATV on trail and not mentioned on website

Should offer Rally rate. We may not come back. Too expensive for the middle of nowhere. Improvements are great. Office staff very friendly.

Every one is racist as heck apparently and the office pretty much just blew off any problems we had with being harassed I don’t recommend staying here the maintenance guy I believe named Tom is awesome but this place has some major issues and we will be contacting our lawyers

Respect and cleaning are a thing of the past here...we have been coming for 6 years and are sad this will probably be our last stay. Restrooms are filthy, workers kids have taken over club house...their disrespect is horrible. Pool is dirty...guess the hose doesn't reach the gate and patio to wash off bird poop. Spend money on poles, lights and trees but not on washers and dryers , total shame

Unfortunately we were not to thrilled with our stay. We came for strictly UTV riding and the new rule (that we were not mad aware of before hand) was very inconvenient. We expected to just hop on the trails when we wanted, but with the trailor situation that was not the case.

What a great, out of the way place to camp. Located beside a lake, there was always a nice breeze blowing. Campsites are very large and are all pull-through, which is a nice option. Bathhouse/clubhouse is very nice and the restrooms are clean. Staff is very friendly. It's not your typical KOA, as everything is very laid back, probably because it is located in the middle of nowhere. It's one of those places where you go if all you want to do is camp and relax. They do have activities for children in the morning.
