The only issue I had was some grumpy staff. After driving 8 hours on a hot day a friendly face with some welcoming words would have been nice. The view site laundry facilities shops ice cream etc was all very good.

Very nice people close to sightseeing, but sites very unlevel our 5th wheel jacks with pads had all they could do to level up on the upper site, no view or shade.

The registration process was a mess from the moment we arrived. The staff was extremely rude and confrontational. We felt watched by staff walking around with their radio waiting to jump on our every move. The staff was not friendly nor did they welcome us during our stay. We are done with KOA’s after our stay at Devils Tower KOA. We are joining GOOD SAMS. Bye Bye!!!!!

The person who checked us in was not very accommodating. We were a party of six and she had us scattered all over the camp grounds. We had put in the note area on our reservations to be by each other. Also we were told there was no one available to take us to our campsite. That was a first from the other campgrounds we had stayed at.

The location doesn't get any better. I thought I would enjoy our space more than we did. It was right on the end of the row near the exit. People constantly driving to fast (including employees) continually kicking up dust. A lot of people use the exit as an entrance as well. The facilities (other than the dirty laundry machines) are top notch! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Check in was easy, went to site. No picnic table at our site, leaking water valve at hose bib. I did not report these issues to staff.

Upon check in we had a bait and switch situation, so after a 400+ mile drive I was angry to have to fight for the site we booked. We have a very small camper and easily fit into short sites. I booked a site in the old section across from the fence but we were given a site way in back next to a shed even though what we booked was fully available. Do not put those sites in the same category.

Nice location with a view of Devils Tower. But it lack customer service. When we arrived, the reception was cold, not welcoming. No explanation on the camping features and services. We were assigned a site near the area where the camping store over stock and unused metal. The view is not very welcoming. The workers pass there all the time, throwing dust and making noise.

Great location. Very well maintained. It would be nice if there was signs on the pool bathrooms that state the hours it will be open. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay there again.

We booked a premium site and was disappointed to find us parked on gravel and grass, a broken picnic table and barely enough room to get the car off the road. Also the movie was shown on a TV. I expected a big screen and maybe a nice firepit. There weren’t chairs to sit on like the picture shows

We had a great stay at devils tower campground. The campground was kept very clean. It was well laid out and easy to get into your site. Bathroom and shower area was clean. They had nice gift shop and restaurant. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. It also has a great view of the tower

Overall good location walking distance to hiking the Devils Tower-front desk staff OK, not as friendly as many other locations, no welcome to KOA! type greeting. Our site was on a slight hill, not perfect but had good views of the tower. Restuarant next door had only fried food, hardly any healthy choices.

The stay was amazing but the cafe closed at 5PM and we arrived shortly after looking to have dinner. We were sorely disappointed. Maybe consider keeping it opened until 8PM like everything else is. The cafe is highly advertised but not available.

Lots of water pressure makes shower heads sting, some of them are partially plugged and that doesn’t help, otherwise great place, great location, great staff!!!

An excellent campgrounds if your going to Devils Tower. Clean and courteous and the best showers I've every had, anywhere.

Everything was very good, with one exception. The front desk should remind everyone when checking in to NOT cut thru other sites. Have kids and adults cutting through our site.

Amazing stay!! Views are spectacular. Only recommendations would be to upgrade the outdoor viewing for Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Outdoor projector with screen would be much better. The minigolf course needs a refresh. Camp store needs more of the essentials.

Awesome KOA resort with plenty to do for every age group. The staff was great & the grounds were well kept. Nice to have everything on site. Plenty to do outside the campground. Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Spearfish Scenic Byway, Deadwood, Hill City Park just to name a few. Would definitely recommend this KOA & will return if we’re ever out in that area again.

Great campground with lots of potential! Perhaps slightly below par with other KOAs. Sites/roads need work as there is little to no gravel. Rains leave the grounds muddy and covered with puddles causing terrible tracking into your camper...especially if you have dogs. Large shed off to side of the grounds is dilapidated and unsightly, seemingly not maintained...could be potential safety concern.

Sites are well spaced so you’re not on top of other rv’s. Our site was not level so we had to use blocks (otherwise a 5 rating). Nice walking area for dogs around campground. Campground was busy due to holiday weekend but it didn’t feel crowded. Fantastic view and access to Devil’s Tower.

Great stay, sites are big enough for whatever you need. Activities, gift shop, mini golf, hayride. Nightly movie showing. All under the shadow of Devils Tower. Recommended!

We stayed here for one night on a roadtrip around the Black Hills. Devil's Tower was one of the highlights of our vacation. I was expecting the KOA to be cramped, loud, and overpriced. It was actually way better than expected. The campground and bathrooms were pretty clean. We were in a van and it was nice that the larger RVs were together in their own area. We had a great view of the Tower. We didn't have time, but I appreciated that there was free mini golf. It was also a great surprise to learn they showed the Close Encounters movie every night. I had wanted to watch it but didn't find the DVD in time for our trip. The staff we interacted with all seemed very nice and helpful. The campground is as close to the Tower as you can be without being in the park.

A beautiful campground almost at the base of the tower. Our campsite had the tower directly behind our RV. Seeing the sunshine hit the tower slightly before sunrise was inspirational. This KOA was fantastic. Lots of amenities and all of the staff were great. Beautiful Ponderosa pines all over the site. I played mini golf with my son and daughter-in-law. Be sure to catch the nightly show. I highly recommend this campground. I would happily come back.
