At first glance I was not impressed with the park. The staff was friendly and helpful including an escort to our site. After setting up and settling in we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location right next to Devils Tower with great views. Nice dog park and nice grass areas between the sites that our dog loved lounging on. They also have a pool, mini golf and a playground. Overall great stay!

If John Wayne and Alex Honnold opened a campground, this would be it. As a rock climber with kids, I’ve stayed in my share of campgrounds—from “rustic” (aka a patch of dirt with a raccoon problem) to “luxury” (aka you pay extra for the raccoons to wear bow ties). The campground was nothing special but was convenient. My displeasure was when I asked about a late checkout. We had a technician coming to change a flat tire on our motorhome but could not get there till 11am. I was told only till noon because the site was sold unless of course I paid for another night and then it would be OK to stay. Either the site is SOLD or they just wanted more money.

Very friendly staff, good sites, gorgeous view to Devils Tower and a good starting point for visiting the national park. Open air movie night was a great ‚extra experience‘!

Quite nice but outside my budget. Staff gave me a good spot (8) with a good view of the tower and few neighbors. A lot of traffic on the entrance road, but it's a busy place. Only stayed one night so didn't get to enjoy the pool. Movie showing (CE3K) with tower in the background was great. Staying here allowed me to get a site at Belle Fourche next morning (cheaper, closer to tower, and a fire).

Passing through and arrived just before close. Found a very helpful friendly greeter who put us in an amazing view site, just what we were hoping for! Great quick stay.

Loved our experience! Fantastic location, nice pool, and beautiful grounds. Really enjoyed the movie as well. My only complaint is that it was very confusing finding the entrance and where to park for checking in. I think this was mostly due to the massive crowd from the Sturgis Rally. Some better signage would help though.

You couldn't ask for a better location and view for Devil's Tower. This KOA has a great general store with a café. The hay ride, however was not worth it. We saw 3 eyes of birds, they had issues withe the tractor, and you sucking on deisel exhaust the whole time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blackhills KOA. We are KOA members and have stayed at many KOA campgrounds, but my husband and I both agree that this campground is the best one we have ever stayed at. It is beautiful, clean, staff is friendly, and there are more amenities and activities than many KOA Holidays! I cannot recommend this campground enough!

We loved how quiet everything was. We love the Kamp K9s but with the gate on the big area didn't shut correctly. With fast dogs (Whippets), we have to be very carefulk.

This KOA campground was right next door to Devils Tower National Monument entrance station which was very convenient. The campground was good. The pool was clean. There were not many chairs around the pool and the sauna tub was not in operation.

It was a big campground with many things to do. I would have loved staying longer. The shower was the best!! Excellent water pressure…. Felt like a nice back and neck massage! Thank you!!

Stayed 9 nights and never tired of the incredible view of the Tower! Loved the hiking, too, and dark skies for star gazing. Missed being able to have a campfire in rv area, but appreciate the reason. Thanks for a great visit.

Wonderful staff at a great location. I noticed lots of renovations taking place and was already impressed that the owners were putting so much thought into their business. Then, on my last day I talked to what I believe to be the daughter who manages the park who advised me of the August 2024 tornado that devastated their business. I really appreciate the owners now! Keep up the great work!

The ONLY exception to our stay were the dusty roads around the sites. It’s a busy KOA for really good reasons. So any size of rig & golf carts kicked up the dust. A layer of gravel might help. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Very nice campground in a great location. Great camp store Café. I would suggest that you improve the gravel roads through the campground and on the site. There were some very tough potholes, but don’t worry we will be back.

We stayed here for one night on a roadtrip around the Black Hills. Devil's Tower was one of the highlights of our vacation. I was expecting the KOA to be cramped, loud, and overpriced. It was actually way better than expected. The campground and bathrooms were pretty clean. We were in a van and it was nice that the larger RVs were together in their own area. We had a great view of the Tower. We didn't have time, but I appreciated that there was free mini golf. It was also a great surprise to learn they showed the Close Encounters movie every night. I had wanted to watch it but didn't find the DVD in time for our trip. The staff we interacted with all seemed very nice and helpful. The campground is as close to the Tower as you can be without being in the park.

A beautiful campground almost at the base of the tower. Our campsite had the tower directly behind our RV. Seeing the sunshine hit the tower slightly before sunrise was inspirational. This KOA was fantastic. Lots of amenities and all of the staff were great. Beautiful Ponderosa pines all over the site. I played mini golf with my son and daughter-in-law. Be sure to catch the nightly show. I highly recommend this campground. I would happily come back.
