Campground Reviews

A lot of maintenance needed in laundry room, showers and picnic tables. Beautiful location, but for $90.00 per night I don’t think it was worth the cost

Campground is located just outside the park. The office staff is wonderful to work with. The cafe was very nice. The camp ground is a little worn down…. But location location location.

Very close to Devils Tower. Dark sky at night. We visited at the end of September so the campground was very quiet. Would highly recommend!!

This was my favorite of all the places we stayed on a weeklong, multistate RV trip. The location is outstanding - I wish we could have stayed longer and arrived earlier in the evening to take more advantage of the location. Even the shower curtains in the bathroom facilities were cute and thoughtful to make it feel personal.

Staff was friendly and helpful, the cabin I rented was clean and comfortable. Campground has a clear view of Devils Tower

Great location and facilities. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed three nights at this KOA. We loved the store, the ice cream counter, the hay ride, etc. The highlight however, is the proximity to Devil's Tower. One of the most fascinating places we've ever visited. We will be back for sure! The facility is clean, the dog park is wonderful, the staff is super friendly and the price we paid is very reasonable considering the location.

One of our most favorite campgrounds........easy in, easy out, level sites, excellent utility placement, good WiFi, all with Devils Tower looming overhead. What's not to like. This was our third stay - 2012, 2023 and 2025. We will return.

Right outside the gates of the monument. It has a lovely store and café. My site was level and there is a good bit of space in between sites. The hay ride is a must ($). Very informative of the area with a different view of the tower, and the interesting history of the campground and it's famous movie links. All in all a lovely stay.

The campground was nice and had a great view of Devil’s Tower. You couldn’t get closer to it without going into the park itself. The WiFi was spotty, couldn’t have a campfire, and the campsites were close to one another. However, the staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and location was great.

This campground is very stunning. The staff is very friendly and the site is very clean. The movie at 8:00 is very moving.

Absolutely beautiful!!!!!! Nice and clean. Perfect view of the tower. I recommend getting up early and watching the sunrise!!! Definitely going back!!!!

Check in lady needs an attitude adjustment. She didn’t tell us about the hayride or close encounters movie. She was more interested in emphasizing the pool was closed. We enjoyed our visit inspite of the initial encounter.

Couldn't ask for a better spot to experience Devils Tower. Bathrooms were spotless and smelled good when you walked in. Grounds were well kept and all manner of travel vehicles can be accommodated. I would definitely stay here again. Stop here and rest for the night-you won't be sorry!

It was great until we got ready to depart. With only one dump station for vans and other smaller units, we left without dumping because the people in front of us appeared to be confused about what to do and saw no urgency to get it done. It was a nice location with a great view and the staff was very good. We would definitely stay there again if in that area.

Best view best sunset and sunrise hands down! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Beautiful location end to end!

Beautiful KOA literally at the foot of Devil's Tower. We were traveling through and I wish we had more time to explore the area and enjoy the campground.

This is one of the prettiest KOAs I have stayed at. They were also able to accommodate a change in my schedule that was greatly appreciated. Friendly staff and Nice clean facilities made my stay great.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Spaces are large and plenty of room between each site. Very clean everywhere. Did not get a chance to eat in the Cafe but menu looked good. This was our second stay. We enjoyed it so much 5 years ago we wanted to go back. This time we went up to the Devils Tower visitors center

The location was great. We had an outstanding view from our campsite. Bathrooms were clean. Our only complaint is that the picnic tables were in poor shape and needed to be replaced.

Super nice folks. Set us up with a great view. Loved the breakfast. Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommended!

The night sky was amazing. There are no services after 4 pm, maybe the check in person could mention that. But we were there off season ( sept 24) I would definitely come back again. The Tower is breathtaking and a must see.

We had a lovely stay. The hosts at the camp store were so helpful. In the evening we went to the store to buy firewood to make a fire. One of the ladies said “Oh, I’ll build a fire for you!”, and voila, there was our campfire! The location couldn’t be more perfect for exploring the Devil’s Tower area. Great amenities-clean bathrooms and showers, laundry, playground, pool. Highly recommen

1. GREAT location! Right at the foot of Devils Tower. 2. Nice facility. We were in site 92, which looks out over the red cliffs over the river. We had an FHU site and everything worked great. Pretty level site and long enough to have some room between the tow vehicle and our trailer. 3. Fun area -- This northwest corner of the Black Hills is beautiful. We visited Hulett... fun little town

Awesome staff! Wonderful campground

Stayed in the deluxe cabin. Mattress was about 4 inches thick, full of crazy springs, and there was a huge gap all the way around. Was the worst sleep i ever got. This is the saddest koa I've ever seen. No chairs outside. No grill.

Place has gone downhill. It was generally unkept. Lawn needed mowing. We were underwhelmed

Well run campgrounds.

Site was very unlevel so had to spend a lot of time just leveling. Two out of four dryers in the laundry were broken so limited. Dusty with no shade.

Bathrooms could be better. Urinal too tall for us short folks! The back area where the camping cabins were could use a night light or 2. We enjoyed the nice chairs and cement patio. Overall a thumbs up

Great campground, great access to the tower, it was maybe 10 minutes to the visitors center, cool little gift shops, but don't mess around and be late to the shops, everything between 5 and 6.

We stayed in a basic full hook-up (FHU) site but would upgrade to a premium site for an extended stay. Staff were very friendly, and the on-site store had plenty of supplies, gifts, and ice cream. There's a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. Sites were compact but included grass and a picnic table. We didn't have kids with us, but there's a playground, pool, and mini golf for families. Great access to the Devils Tower monument.

We camped for 3 nights, and we enjoyed our stay. The campground was clean, and it was big rig friendly. The sites are pretty close together, but that seems typical of a KOA. We were in site 93 which had a bigger “front yard” area, nice shade tree, and views of Devil's Tower. The campground looked like had plenty of activities and amenities for families. We were able to walk into the monument area from the campground which was great!
