Wonderful staff and facilities We will return

We had paid for a premium site expecting extra space or better features, but it actually felt smaller and more cramped than the standard sites nearby. It was hard to relax with how close the neighboring RVs and campers were. Overall, it’s a convenient and well-kept campground with great staff, but be mindful of which site you book—what’s labeled "premium" may not feel like it.

The proximity to Devil's Tower was incredible. We booked a tent platform and paid the higher price. Upon arrival, we were told our site number and when we got to it, there was no platform. We asked the staff and they said "oh we don't have those, someone should have told you". No one told us. There were only 2 washing machines working and the pool was closed, even though we were told it was open.

Everything was super good although the mattress in the cabin would be a diversion from renting the cabin again

Great KOA. Two suggestions. Signage on pool is confusing due to padlock on gate. Need to hang a sign there that gives pool hours and says that pool entry is through the shower house. I thought the pool was closed because the gate was padlocked (not understanding that you never unlock it). Also need a larger dog run for big dogs. Consider fencing large grassy area to the right of teepee by cabins.

This is STILL one of our favorite places to stay with our kids. Can't back after visiting 4 years ago and its still got beautiful tent sites with electric looking right at Devil's Tower. It's perfect for stargazing, easy access to the National Monument, plus we love how clean the showers and bathrooms are. My kids love the playground as well. We look forward to coming back.

The restrooms closest to our site were locked up the second afternoon of out stay without explanation. Still locked up when we left the next day. Other than that, a great KOA. 1. Super friendly staff. 2. Great gift shop. 3. And the views. What incredible views of the tower. % !

The views were nice, and the monument was right there beside you. The KOA on the other hand was extremely understaffed, but they were friendly. The roads were dirt and muddy from rain. Some spots were flooded out. Not the staffs fault, they need more help.

Beautiful park with fantastic views. Big pull thrus with lots of space. Plenty for the kids to do as well.

quick but great. thanks!

Pretty ran down, needs a lot of updates to keep up with the regular KOA parks.

Don't post your menu online if it isn't what you actually offer. Also add signs to restrict motorcyclists from parking everywhere in the lot, which made it very difficult to navigate a RV through to our campsite.

Location is great. RV spaces are pretty tight. Park feels run down.

We stayed overnight in one of the small cabins. It was very clean and convenient for our trip to Devils tower. Everything was clean and there were many fun activities for the kids to do!

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way across country to Yellowstone. The site was beautiful. The people were friendly. The place was clean and lived up to every expectations that we had the groundskeeper constantly maintained the grounds and the bathrooms and laundry room and showers were also very well kept up and maintained Would recommend this place 100%

Only issues was the amount of motorcycles coming from Sturgis

Organized. Friendly. Amazing view.

Wow you can’t get any closer to an attraction than this ! Perfect views of the tower. Loved the gift shop nearby. Site was easy to pull into in the dark with info left at the front. Site was level and did not need to detach our truck. Showers were clean and individual.

Great view of devils Tower. Great amenities.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and everything was great with the exception of the queen mattress in the bedroom. The box spring seemed adequate while the mattress itself was way too thin to support a person, even one like myself, who wasn't expecting a "Hilton Bed" in a rustic cabin. Upgrade the mattress and my recommendation to a friend would jump to a 10! Kirk Cunningham

The Devils Tower / Black Hills KOA Journey is a great choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and scenic base near Devils Tower. We loved that.

I am giving this campground a 6 out of 5 stars. The staff and Tricia were awesome and very helpful. The showers were refreshing with unlimited hot water. The bathrooms were clean. The movie was awesome with the tower in the background. So much more to do than we expected. We had so much fun we hated to leave.

It was the most beautiful campground I ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store, pool and playground were amazing. The facilities and campground were clean and well taken care of. The food at the cafe was great. I would highly recommend this campground! We spent 8 days there and I would stay longer if I could.

GOOD FACILITY WITH AMPLE AMENITIES TO MAKE THE STAY ENJOYABLE. RANDY'S HAYRIDE TOUR WAS GREAT!

Fantastic location. The view of Devil's Tower is the best. Friendly staff. Sites level and many are shaded. Nice bathrooms and dishwasher station. Area is very remote and quiet.

Cabin was overpriced and AC didn’t work so hot all night. I was told to take garbage bag to main bin.all that was in it was a water bottle and a Kleenex. The staff had to do no cleaning or pickup. Plus was told to move my car somewhere else because 2 wheels were on the grass campsite when there were multiple vehicles fully on the grass throughout the campground. This was a very disappointing sta

Camping sites are good, full hook ups. Campground clean and staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

Nice campground with great staff given we inadvertently booked during the Sturgis rally. Quite noisy/busy during the days but staff handled it well and the noise subsided at night. Little perks like the nightly movie adds a little extra to the stay.

The site is amazing with direct view on the Devil’s Tower. Staff is very friendly and equipments clean and practicles. (Pool, showers, bathrooms). The tent site was not clean, we regretted to find cigarettes butts (a lot) and trash in the pit fire. Beware, lot’s of mosquitoes !

Great hosts. Overnight tent camping

Great location with direct view of Devils Tower! Only issue bathhouse shower backed up and flooded out onto the dressing area floor. Not really ideal. Thankfully we had a full hookup campsite!

We had a great time. Neat story before the movie about how the campground came about. Thank you also for enforcing the leash rule for dogs. I was bit by one a few years ago even though the dog had never bit anyone before. Dogs don’t bite until they do.

Staff were very nice. Perfect place to stay at to view Devils Tower.

At first glance I was not impressed with the park. The staff was friendly and helpful including an escort to our site. After setting up and settling in we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location right next to Devils Tower with great views. Nice dog park and nice grass areas between the sites that our dog loved lounging on. They also have a pool, mini golf and a playground. Overall great stay!

Late arrival was well organized, but the open camping area was hard to navigate for a late arrival. We ended up setting up tent in an awkward area. Recommend assigning site numbers to late arrivals.

Camp ground is very well maintained, cabin we stayed has been a very good experience since we could see the tower right from bed(of course have to leave the door open). An amazing experience and will return

If John Wayne and Alex Honnold opened a campground, this would be it. As a rock climber with kids, I’ve stayed in my share of campgrounds—from “rustic” (aka a patch of dirt with a raccoon problem) to “luxury” (aka you pay extra for the raccoons to wear bow ties). But the Devils Tower KOA? Absolute gold. KOA staff? Friendly, helpful, and the kind of folks who’ll chat with you about yo

Loved the view and enjoyed seeing the movie at the base of the Tower! Very clean nice campground!

Great stay. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the cafe.

The campground was nothing special but was convenient. My displeasure was when I asked about a late checkout. We had a technician coming to change a flat tire on our motorhome but could not get there till 11am. I was told only till noon because the site was sold unless of course I paid for another night and then it would be OK to stay. Either the site is SOLD or they just wanted more money.

Very friendly staff, good sites, gorgeous view to Devils Tower and a good starting point for visiting the national park. Open air movie night was a great ‚extra experience‘!

Great location to visit and view Devils Tower. Restrooms were clean food was good. Gift shops were nice.

Quite nice but outside my budget. Staff gave me a good spot (8) with a good view of the tower and few neighbors. A lot of traffic on the entrance road, but it's a busy place. Only stayed one night so didn't get to enjoy the pool. Movie showing (CE3K) with tower in the background was great. Staying here allowed me to get a site at Belle Fourche next morning (cheaper, closer to tower, and a fire).

Great campground, great access to the tower, it was maybe 10 minutes to the visitors center, cool little gift shops, but don't mess around and be late to the shops, everything between 5 and 6.

We stayed in a basic full hook-up (FHU) site but would upgrade to a premium site for an extended stay. Staff were very friendly, and the on-site store had plenty of supplies, gifts, and ice cream. There's a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. Sites were compact but included grass and a picnic table. We didn't have kids with us, but there's a playground, pool, and mini golf for families. Great access to the Devils Tower monument.

We camped for 3 nights, and we enjoyed our stay. The campground was clean, and it was big rig friendly. The sites are pretty close together, but that seems typical of a KOA. We were in site 93 which had a bigger “front yard” area, nice shade tree, and views of Devil's Tower. The campground looked like had plenty of activities and amenities for families. We were able to walk into the monument area from the campground which was great!
