We enjoyed staying in a deluxe cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a treat to open the shades and watch birds flying in over the lake and ducks swimming by in the morning. The kids loved the loft. Our only recommendation is to turn the heat up a bit before arrivals, or to give guests notice. The baseboards take some time to get going (and one was not working). We hope to stay in summer!

The heat in the cabin was not turned on prior to our party checking in. It was about 35 degrees, so the cabin took multiple hours to heat up and get to a comfortable temperature for us to fall asleep. There were several dead flies on every surface, so we had to do some cleaning and sweeping. There was no lamp shade on the light in cabin 41. It was not clear which bathrooms were available and open.

Needed somebody to bring key for cabin no on site, made call and arrival short. While waiting I did not know that bathroom was needing to be used in thru laundry area . Where were signs? During my stay the camp store wasn't open unless I call someone. Again,I could have been told ahead of time, I know it was off season. Oh well, see you in warmer weather.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin. It was clean, comfortable, appointed well, and had a great lake view. The cabin was of quality construction. It was better and nicer than I expected from the website. It was a good deal for the price. Also it was close a close drive to Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. We came to town for a funeral.

Need more bathrooms. Dog area is very small and not well kept. No dog bags either. Store should open earlier than 9:00 am. At 8:30 there were 5 us of standing out there and had to wait till 9:07. Also, I had emailed a few times prior to my staff is ask what Halloween events were being offered as it was our first time camping there. I got vague responses, could not participate in all events. Bummer

Sean and the whole crew were so positive and did everything to make this the best camping trip ever. Cabin 44 was so cozy in that rainstorm! Will definitely be back again!

There was lots to do for the family. The lodge is amazing and convenient when traveling far with kids. We were pleased with the kindness and hospitality of the staff for our 2nd visit in 3 months!

Every employee was so kind & welcoming. True professionals! The housekeeping staff including; Patty, Sammy, Sandy were exceptional! And thanks Bill (fireplace crew) for your kindness and stories of the park, including the swans. The store crew also has to be mentioned for their welcoming and kindness! This was my 4th visit at the Lodge in 2 years. So clean and relaxing!

I think this campground was amazing. However, I think the fact that you pay extra $10 per day per person for amenities is entirely unacceptable. I paid $270 per night to stay in a family cabin and I should not have to pay per person to use the amenities that are already usually included in KOA stay. I will say that the staff was extremely friendly and we would return, but not sure.

My kids nicknamed it “the Smoker Friendly KOA” and that sums it up. The cabin was filthy and reeked of smoke. The bathrooms were super dirty. The amenities all cost money, even the bouncy pillow. The parking floods with the tiniest rain. I am ashamed to reccomend the KOA brand due to this location. Will not be back. It is a giant ash tray.

Great place for families, lots of fun things available. The lodge was great, but the gas grill was not working well and was dirty. Kitchen could use some additional skillets for cooking. Otherwise excellent! Customer service was quite nice with exception of one person in store managing the desk.

Loved the actual KOA the deluxe cabin was so adorable the cabin itself could have been cleaner we did have to wipe counters and clean the shower but other than that it was a great place to stay we enjoyed ourselves and will be back!

Our cabin was not very clean no fun fir the kids during the week only weekends but staff was very nice and it is a nice clean beautiful scenery

It was great but the 2 indoor showers are labeled backwards and my 11 year old grandson was almost burned. If my son had not been right outside the door, he would’ve been burned by the hot water.

Staff is great. Campground is nice (very quiet, lots of trees). Lake is great for swimming or fishing. My only criticism is the roads - lots of deep holes - you need to be very careful. I was told they would be working on this issue soon.

Was disappointed that the waterslide, water obstacle course, American ninja warrior course, and blob were all closed. The whole reason I choose to stay here was so my kids could enjoy those activities. Ice cream was closed and I asked to have wood delivered to the site and it didn't arrive, I ended up calling the manager at 7pm to get it.

Overall, I love this place. The staff is always outstanding. The wet wagon ride is always a thrill too. The only reason I would hesitate to go back is because of the people/crowds that were also camping. Not a reflection on the place or staff. kids were unattended at the park, allowing fights to start. My neighbors next to us also had fights that made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

A wonderful weekend with family. Plenty of activity for kids. Small space between RV’s but we had a cabin in our group so we had a place to gather.

Patty ans Sarah were amazing employees who were super helpful when we needed it! I couldn't have gotten through the check-in process without Sarah! Patty was present for all our questions and concerns and even greeted and helped our visitors! Wonderful campground with lots to do as a family or just relax! Oh and the lodge is AMAZING! We will be staying there again!!!

We stayed in the Lakeside Lodge. Everything was very clean and quiet. It was a beautiful setting where our grandson could enjoy fishing right outside our lodge. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated Sam's recommendation for an authentic Detroit-style pizza at Buddy's. It was delicious! We also enjoyed the trail around the lake. We definitely plan to come again!

Customer service was very poor. Long distance to restrooms and showers and very small. Cabin over priced. If this was my first experience with KOA it would be my last, and it might be.

Cabins do not have fridge/microwave. Many large potholes. Roads are dirt and cabins are close to road. Dust constantly in air from it. Body, food, everything is covered in it. Huge cobwebs in cabin, firepits & grills not cleaned out and had to clean up fresh and old dog poop by firepit. Could at least clean up lot before next people stay in cabin. One bathroom only and needs to be cleaned more oft

$80+/night for rustic cabin seemed a little high since we rented 1st week of May when water activities haven't started due to weather of course. Showers were just okay and bathrooms kept clean. Staff was very friendly. Hershey ice cream great.

We stayed in one of the 8 person cabins. It was very clean and ready when we arrived. Staff was very pleasant and helpful at check in and check out. It was exactly what our group needed! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be staying here.

Great campground! First time camping in March and we stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was perfect. My boys can’t wait to come back in the summer. I highly recommend.

We stayed in Deluxe Kabin #22 again, and the living room heat was still not working. I discovered that the thermostat in the living room area is out of calibration, and a simple hex tool can be used to fix it. Also, we had pointed out that the refrigerator/freezer did not have ice cube trays the last time we were there, and that was not corrected, either. And the store ice cube freezer was broke

Stayed in the new cabins. They are amazing!! The cabin was clean, and roomy. Comes with a K-cup ����. Love waking up on the water.

It was a nice place to stay for the time we were in the area. It would be nice if there was another bath house near camp sites 25, it is a long way to the bath house from that area. The pads are dirt, it would be nice if there was some cement pads, but I guess that would raise the cost. We were very thankful that we had full hook ups. Our daughter was in the deluxe cabin and it was nice.

Multiple attempts to contact the office before our stay went unanswered. My wife tried leaving messagins at multiple different numbers and sent texts in response to the automated 'here's information about your upcoming stay, please respond with any questions' text message, and finally an email to official detroit ann arbor KOA email address. ALL unanswered, but receipt acknowledged on checkin.
