Sites are small, dusty and ours was full of bees. Asked in the office for help, they came and sprayed something, but it didn't help. I wish the store had more choices. The campground needs a designated fishing area. Tried to find an empty site, and got reprimanded by neighbors (looks like a seadonal camper). Beware, only half of the natire trail is nicely groomed. But overall it's a decent place.

This is a gem of a place. The store, though - was nearly empty of essentials (I needed a toothbrush - they had none. The toothpaste I bought ended up being expired for many months - disappointing)... Anyway, the site was beautiful. I'd book the site again accept for the $50 fee to do so. Staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. "Sarg" was super helpful! Great place. Will be back.

This could be an amazing KOA. Sadly, it needs much TLC. The roads are muddy when it rains, and minimal gravel on campsites. Lake has inflatables, jumping pads in playground area, and a nice store. It was party central on a Wednesday and Thursday nights. Unfortunately, the closest cg to the Ford Museum and sights.

Registering after arrival was quick but redundant. The site had been groomed in preparation for our arrival, but it was not attractive. There were mature trees, but no greenery between sites & no visual boundaries. Just raked dirt. The bathrooms were centrally located, which meant a hike to use the facilities. My stay was functional, not worth the $75 +tax charge. I won’t return.

We were so glad that we reserved the site with the cement pad and gravel. We were very disappointed with the muddy/dirt roads throughout the campground though. We had friends at these other sites and they were disappointed as well. We liked the large campfire ring and the two table at our site and ended up having our group gatherings there.

One night stay was pleasant enough though it was a muddy site. Definitely not worth the $77. The front desk person was not able to apply my points since I had already paid in full although every other KOA has the ability to issue a credit back to my card for application of rewards points.

Nobody could answer my question clearly about where to let my dog swim. It was unclear whether we were allowed to swim at my mom's lakeside RV site. The showers were grossly moldy and without trash cans in the rooms. Cabin reeked of stale cigarettes and the screens were so dirty we could barely see out. The door screen was broken and let mosquitoes in. Hiking trail did not say it goes around lake.

Stayed 3 nights to visit the area. It is a camping well organised for familles - perhaps less for couples like us looking for more privacy. Our site 57 was far from intimacy. But the staff was very helpful and welcoming.

For the amount of money we paid to stay in the lodge you would think they would be clean. When we first checked in there was sand and gravel all over the floor and had to be cleaned up by us . Bath tub had hair in it from previous guest. My son went to go to sleep in the loft and the beds were also covered in sand and small gravel. Also there was feathers in the loft I'm guessing by previous guest

They are definitely making improvements to some sites and the grounds. This is not a gated or secured campground and very limited visibility of staff other than around the lake area. Roads are not paved and very uneven so when it rains it’s a big issue with standing water. The sites on the water are great and water activities are well maintained.

They were super great changing sites. Love lake front view. Didn’t like goose poop. Advertising crafts then have kids disappointed because no materials. Staff could look a little and act more professional.

We we there to travel to Woodward Ave for the Woodward Dream Cruise. We came in the check in was quick & easy. We had an easy walk to walk the dog. Checkout was even easier. All the hook ups were within easy reach, including the sewer.

The property is run-down and dirty, even the staff wore ripped and stained KOA clothing. The whole experience felt like no one cared and it was obvious in every way!

As far as KOAs this one is just ok. I would never use showers or bathrooms. Some staff friendly. If you land on lake front geese poop everywhere. Dirty sandy roads and sites. They keep the beach immaculate and looked like a lifeguard was usually there. I am sure kids will love it with the inflatables.

Changed our site when we got there, didn’t care for it. Packed in pretty tight. Moved to a lake site and that was nice. Roads could’ve had more crushed stone. Lots of mud from the rain. WiFi was great!

Place needs a lot of work. Maintenance and fixing up the place. Also roads were terrible. The electric at our site 152 made our connector very hot & kept popping breaker. Staff was friendly & responcive

Nice sites We love having sites with mature trees. Our grandchildren enjoyed the nice beach Bathrooms/showers need some attention to cleaning and some repair Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

We were very disappointed with the visitor fee policy of $12/adult, $6/child. We completely understand wanting to reasonably limit the # of visitors, especially if they aren’t there with a registered camper. But charging every single visitor - especially $12/adult who likely aren’t even using the amenities - seems like a far reach. This policy also appeared very unequally applied to all visito

Our stay was memorable and fun. Our children (12,16) loved the Wibits but the seaweed around it annoyed the kids. We would come back in the future. The reason gave 4 stars was because I found it highly annoying that nothing was priced in the store. When I brought it to the cashier's attention she was annoyed at me for bringing it to her attention.

Wonderful lot 29 was great. Wished the WIFI wasn't in & out, but I understand you were installing fiber lines. It happens during upgrades. I truly believe you do not have enough shower & bathroom facilities, and having just one centrally located makes it difficult for campers who depend on plentiful facilities. You probably already have plans for additional locations, but if not...think about it

While the location itself is beautiful and clearly has a lot of potential, the park's execution and focus seem to fall short of providing a quality camping experience. Given the park's clear focus on maximizing profit, one would think a little bit of gravel wouldn't be too much of a financial strain. Our specific site, #9, was one of the worst offenders.

Someone was in our spot and we had to go back 3 times to get it settled. The showers were horrendous…small and needed a total upgrade. The campground was very muddy due to recent rain. It’s a huge campground with lots of people, so if you like camping with a crowd , this place is for you. On a positive note, this place had the best WiFi of any place we’ve camped.

It’s always a great time when we stay at the Detroit/Ann Arbor KOA. They have so much for the kids to do. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Didn't get our discount for KOA rewards. Someone refunded our rewards payment. Had to redo everything at next stay. However, the staff was great and we enjoyed our stay. The facilities were well maintained. There was lots of space at the sites and it was close to family and friends. Enjoyed the lake view.

We were given a full hookup site by permanent guests that had a lot of stuff at their site. We were given 2 more sites next to permanent guests that were encroaching on our site. Finally picked one our ourselves which was ok. Not sure why we we were not given a nice grassy clean site at the other end of the campground. It was clearly tourists and they had full hookup. Dusty, showers not clean.

A large campground with a lake for swimming. Spacious. Lots of things to do for kids. Convenient to The Henery Ford and the museum of flight at Willow Run. Shaded or open sites. Convenient to shopping.

Nice spot by the lake. We were lucky it was dry but I think it would get very muddy if raining. Too many potholes. Descriptions of facilities are exaggerated relative to the quality we observed. That said, Kids seem to love the giant pillow jumping activity - it was never empty.
