I thought it was a nice campground with nice shaded spots. Restrooms and showers were clean, and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the $10 to play on the water slid and blow up obstacle coarse on the water seems a little steep. Other then that I have told everyone I know how surprised I was with the camp ground, being in Ypsilanti.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Detroit/Ann Arbor KOA. We didn't participate in many of the activities offered, but we appreciated the available activities. The staff was friendly & always available. We had an excellent site with a big grassy area, which we enjoyed. It was a relief! The last KOA Holiday site that we stayed at was very disappointing.

Unfortunately our cooler and TV was stolen from our campsite on Labor Day evening which really put a damper on our visit

One star is for the helpful staff in the office. Very poor for a KOA. Bathrooms and showers are old and dirty. Sites are roads are dirt and dusty. Cement walkways are crumbling. We book mostly at KOAs, I will not return to this one.

I have camped at KOAs for the last 40 years. This was the worst place I have ever stayed. People blaring music and screaming until 12am. Watched the staff drive by them 3 times without saying a word. Had to make him stop to complain. The manager the next day claimed she asked him if anything happened and he didn't mention it. Nothing but excuses from the camp manager. [email protected] 2692350441

I think this campground was amazing. However, I think the fact that you pay extra $10 per day per person for amenities is entirely unacceptable. I paid $270 per night to stay in a family cabin and I should not have to pay per person to use the amenities that are already usually included in KOA stay. I will say that the staff was extremely friendly and we would return, but not sure.

Some parts of the park are great, but others aren’t. The campsite we were assigned #3 didn’t work for a travel trailer with the water and electric right next to the door. And there being other rv sites empty we should have been put on a regular site. And the tent sites next to us they had to keep walking right on our site to use the water spigot and electric.

We stayed at this KOA for labor day. The beach was nice and shaded, but there was no good designated fishing areas. You also had to pay for the kids to use the jumping pillow, inflatable courses, and water play area which is kind of ridiculous when that is included at the other KOAS.

This KOA has it all, entertainment, activities to keep the kids busy, and great staff! Everyone worked so hard to make our stay the best! We look forward to returning soon!

Flooding while we were there. Couldn't walk anywhere without taking lots of sand/debris into it RV. Site was muddy. Friendly staff. Nice amenities. Should have warned us about the karaoke being noisy.

The slot we got was cramped and in a weird triangle shape which made fitting a car and tent very difficult. It was located on a curve on the inner-road so it felt like anyone that took the curve wrong could land on our tent...The restroom wasn't very clean. Whats nice is the lake and the option to rent a boat for a reasonable price.

The amount of aggressive breed dogs in this campground was enough I would not stay here again. There are also a lot of seasonal campers throughout the park, not just in one area. The only kid activities that were free was a water wagon ride and a movie. To use the inflatables and water slide was $10/per day per kid. Tie dye was $15. Putt putt is in the sun all day. Lots of day users to swim.

Stayed 3 nights . Not into rock and dust . Very tight wooded spaces . Too many Seasonals that trash the place up . Cannot even imagine what would happen if it rained . Would be disastrous . So-So for kids . Very tight wooded spaces . Not my type of camp . Looks very tired and worn . Staff very friendly and helpful .

Great shaded sites. Good lake. Get rid of the wristbands. At the very least make them purchased for length of stay and not per day.

What a shame that they charge you $10 a day per child to play on the playground. The wooded sites are so close together that we just had enough room for a picnic table and nothing else like our lawn chairs. Also there's no grass there so it's just mud. Need to have a bigger swim area for the smaller children it got deep fast. Patty provided us with great customer service.

Lots of activities for children. Beautiful lake. While the site length was fine for our 41ft 5th wheel the access road to get to the site was extremely tight. We had branches scraping the side of our rig. We almost couldn't make a turn. Some trimming or cutting down of some of the trees would be good.

It was our family's first time at the Detroit koa. My granddaughters first ever experience. The staff was so helpful with all our needs. Everything is structured for a great family experience. This campground was definitely not worth the price of $80/night. The site was level, but the pad was just dirt. Because it had rained, we were parked in mud. The picnic table was very old and dilapidated. The amenities were fine, but the whole camp needs a big update. The people were very friendly.

Trashed out older KOA due to long term and seems like permanent Rv’er? All…and I mean all… buildings were outdated and not kept up to any kind of basic standards! Kids area with bounce pad, Jr Ninga house, putt putt golf and swimming lake seemed ok for kids? Would only recommend for an overnight stop & go and not a long term vacation stay!

You can’t control the weather but the roads were a muddy mess from the rain. Pot holes need to be fixed. The price to camp was high enough that all play areas should have enclosed.

Loved the woody setting and the lake was beautiful! Did not think there should be a charge for the kids activities. The price to stay at a KOA is already much higher than a state park campground, and compareable to a Jellystone park, which includes all activities for free. Bathroom was mostly clean but if you look up you notice all air vents caked with all kinds of debris, fuzz, lint.

If you go there on the weekend, they try to gouge you for money. Charging $10 per person to come in to visit you. On top of the $10 per kid to play on the water stuff.

Very nice setting and the campground has a lot of potential but needs some maintenance and improvements, such as: 1. Paved roads - when it rains, they get flooded; 2. Better lit driveways and pads - it’s very difficult to park at night especially in the wooded sites (like the one we had); 3. Better maintained showers - peeling and ether cold or very hot; 4. Lawyer mowing should wait until 11

Campground is clean, well kept, and quiet during quiet hours. We only stayed the night and didn’t try any of the attractions but I’m happy with the campground. This is the second time we stayed. Price went up a lot over last year but that seems to be the case for a lot of places. We’ll stay again if we’re in the area.

The people are great, so friendly and Nate already very helpful. The only issue is no internet so had to purchase hotspot on my phone. Not very happy about that.

Very muddy, used my truck to go places looks like I hanve been 4 wheel driving. It would be nice if water wasn’t standing. Some people’s sites were surrounded by water. We had a lot of rain They should have been ready.

WATER FLOODED UP THE THREE STEPS TO THE DOOR OF MY CAMPER. I was the only site in my area to flood. I understand it was a terrible storm but thesite was so low it was almost inside all the up to my door. I realize others flooded but none like mine. It was dangerous to be walking in up to my knees in water to save my things and camper. The employees basically said stuff happens, have fun.

Roads in bad repair, sites small and poorly laid out, need much stricter standards for permanent sites (very junky and unkept). Hope new owners can improve this campground. Staff was excellent

My family and I absolutely love going here. We went for the day a couple days ago and it was a really great experience. The staff is friendly, thing's for the kids to do and the whole family. Definitely recommend.

My recent stay was a great experience. The staff, particularly Sean, was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The campground itself was clean and well-maintained with plenty of amenities. I highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable outdoor experience.
