Experience one of Adel's most beloved summer traditions at the annual Adel Sweet Corn Festival, held the second Saturday in August. The festival takes place throughout downtown Adel and around the historic courthouse square, offering a full day of activities, entertainment, and local flavor. Festival highlights include the Sweet Corn Festival Parade, free sweet corn served by local volunteers, a 5K run through Adel's scenic brick streets, arts and craft vendors, food vendors, a car show, kids activities, games, and live entertainment throughout the day. Families can enjoy the Kids Zone, browse dozens of vendor booths, watch the parade, and spend the day exploring one of Iowa's most popular small-town festivals. The evening concludes with a street party featuring live music and entertainment.
