The camping spot assigned to us for tent camping was horrible. It was basically a place next to alders and sticker bushes and slanted small dirt area with no privacy. Very ugly compared to the red wooded trees pictures online. The gravel roads were dusty. The goat pin look very un kept with weeds they would not even eat. The bathrooms were in need of lots of upgrades and maintenance.

Showers near us were all out of order, sink clogged, trash overflowing, nobody answers the phone, dog park fence falling apart and dog poop bin overflowing, fire pits rusted out and need replaced. I've stayed here multiple times over the years, but it's went downhill recently. I'll be checking out other campgrounds in the area for my next visit.

There were a lot of recent bad reviews. Some stuff was warranted. But my stay was great!! The tent area is the nicest I’ve ever stayed at in a KOA. I know it’s new owners but they seemed to be getting it turned around. I would recommend staying there anytime especially if tent camping or taking advantage of the little cabins. Beautiful setting!!

There are two bathroom buildings. The bathroom within the main building are the only ones with working showers. The women’s room only 2 of the 3 were operational. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer were operational out of the 3. The store closes at 5. The playground area was great for kids. I hope that the new management will fix and make necessary updates.

We stay at this campground every year and this time was different the garbage in the whole camp was full bathroom went cleaned the whole time we where there and out of six showers only two were working so sorry but we love this place and it needs some TLc

The tent site s in the woods were perfect. But the laundry room was down and the hot water went out for the showers in our area. They were new management, but their bathroom cleaning was non existent. This was for the bathrooms in the back tent area. On the weekend, no toilet paper and very dirty. They said they were taking laundry off the list, I hope not, this is why I chose it.

Store closes before check-in times. Bathrooms were dirty. Game room was disgusting. Not the standard we are used to having at a koa. Needs tlc for sure.

Location was 10/10. Most showers and laundry facilities were out of order. They didn't send an email stating that fact. For people on road trips it wasn't very nice when depending on the laundry facilities.

Nicely shaded site. Greeted with a great smile and a friendly welcome. Quiet in our part. Bathrooms not great. No warm water at all for a shower.

Just the facts, the trash was never picked up once for the week we were there. It was overflowing at the dumpsters and bathroom. No hot water at showers for tent campers. Laundry room was not functional. Weeds and bushes were overgrown all over the grounds. Site looks like it might have been awesome at one time but current owners and/or staff are not taking care of the place.

Trash was full, restrooms were in a state of disrepair, back tent sites roads are overgrown and do not have clearance for vans, and some sites are being overrun with blackberry bushes. Doesn't match the price of nearby locations.

Our 5th trip to Crescent City KOA and most likely our last. Crescent City KOA Campground is under new ownership and it's gone downhill. During our 3 day trip, there was no cleaning, trash pick up or services. 1 of 2 toilets in the Men's room was broken entire weekend. Women's bathroom was missing door lock/hooks in the showers. Hopefully the new owners will see this review and remediate.

NIce staff, campground is not the same after the cutting down of most of the redwoods in the campground. The bathrooms are hella nasty the place is run down. It needs to close during the winter and have a full remodel and fix up/ clean up. They 100% need a security person there at all times the place has tons of homeless that swoop your stuff and use the bathrooms and showers or do their laundry.

The office/camp store hours were very inconsistent. Saw the person locking up at 4:45pm when hours posted says to 8pm. Nobody there to assist.

The bathroom was disgusting. It was NEVER cleaned in the 4 days I was there. I even discussed it with the front desk person, and nothing changed. There was a plugged toilet, that according to Trip Check has been that way for weeks.

Absolutely horrible KOA. Clogged toilets not fixed for days. Fecal water all over floor. Bathrooms rarely cleaned. No shower door locks. No shower curtains. No hot water. Playground- lawsuit waiting to happen. Rec room dark. A homeless man wandering around and screaming all night- felt very unsafe. Rude employees. KOA corporate should be embarrassed and concerned about the image this KOA presents.

While the setting is kind of nice, the bathrooms and showers were consistently dirty or missing toilet paper. There was also a drug addiction screaming to himself while sleeping on a chair outside of the showers. The front desk lady was super nice and professional, and some of the tent sites were pretty. Ours was not the best but the ones near our site looked pretty.

No hot showers, cold water. No where to put items when showering, no hooks for items. Toilets were dirty, these were the bathrooms on the backside of the site. Had to walk and bring all shower items to the only stalls that worked for the women, always a line and very dirty with several people using the stalls and toilets. No shower head and no shower curtains. No power outlets for tent site.

Many of the bathrooms, sinks, showers, and laundry facilities were out of order. Trash had piled up by the main sink/laundry area and we saw no employees except for a young boy- maybe 10- came by on a golf cart asking if our fire pit had been cleaned out. It had not.

Great natural setting with redwood trees and mature landscape. Close to the redwood state park and had private camp setting. The bathrooms need a handy man. One of the shower doors needs a new hinge, and a toilet seat was cracked and taped instead of replaced.

The desk clerk was friendly. The bathrooms were disgusting. A lady came in with a key and I assumed it was someone on staff. Low and behold she was a guest that asked the front desk to stock the toilet paper. The desk clerk gave the the guest keys. The guest and her children then stocked and cleaned the bathrooms. It’s a great location to the redwoods & quiet location. The tent sites are nice & quiet. The hours of staff is disappointing & the fact that upkeep was lacking for the price of staying there. The toilets and showers weren’t all working, toilet seats were broken or wobbly. Plus I think they only cleaned the bathrooms once a day. I was disappointed for how much it costed for the state of amities

The sprinkler was on in the tent area. It was headed toward our tent site, where we did not want to set up our tent in the wet grass. It was running for several hours. After we got back from dinner in town about 8:30 pm my partner followed the hose to the turn off spot. Then children came out to play in the playground! somebody went home and forgot to turn off the sprinkler. Not worth $40!

Spent 5 days here would have left sooner if I could have got a refund. Bathrooms were not maintained, one cleaning in a 5 day span, a towel wrapped around the toilet to slow a leak. Store is bare no product, laundry room only has 1 working unit. Hopefully things get better staff was pleasant but this location needs some help.

While the location is absolutely stunning, the facilities are completely lacking. The bathrooms are run down and dirty, most of the time no toilet paper or paper towels were available. All but one shower was broken and even the working one didn’t have a locking door. The laundry room only had two working machines. Trash was piled high at all stations creating a concern for wildlife. Very sad.

Bathrooms were very dirty and no toilet paper available. We had to use the main bathroom to shower due to the other bathroom had no hot water. The main showers (there are 3) and only 1 worked. Store was bare and closed early so it was impossible to get firewood. Camp site was not mowed or clean when we checked in. Trash bins overflowing causing trash sitting on the ground.

Hot water didn't work in the showers 2 of 3 days we were there and overall, the bathrooms were not kept clean. Giving 3 stars because there was a person who answered the phone which was helpful and the place was peaceful.

The actual camping lot was absolutely beautiful! The Redwoods and native flowers made it enjoyable to just sit there .Other Patrons were respectful, especially overnight. Issues: laundry room. Every machine was broken, the bathroom facilities we're broken and just felt filthy. I would not return to this KOA unless improvements were made.

By the 3rd day, the bathroom was so neglected every stall was out of toilet paper, there was fecal matter smeared on the stall walls, the soap dispensers had been tampered with in order to get soap out, and the hand dryer was broken. The store was barren and only had firewood, but we bought a bundle and it was still wet and just smoked and sizzled instead of creating a fire. We left a day early.

My husband and I are frequent KOA tent campers. I have been a rewards member for a while now. We typically stay at the KOAs in Northern Arizona. We were taking a trip to California and decided to stay at the redwoods KOA. I love this company but I was so disappointed in this one. With the amount of tent sites and cabins with no restrooms, they only had 3 functioning showers. Dirty, non well kept.

Camp site 112 was amazing 👏🏾 for my first time here. Great location and not far from pebble beach. Amenities were nice . Bathrooms are open to nature if you dont minds Charlotte's web your in a forest remember. Shower water was nice and hot just needed to find the sweet spot. Staff was great 👌🏾. I drove 4 days to get here from Denver CO. Thank you for the memories I'll definitely be back
