Campground Reviews

I cant express enough how wonderful the staff is here! My kitty escaped my first day here. The entire staff has spent countless hours helping me try to find him. Also they have been gracious about helping me back in to my spot. I find the campgrounds absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. I highly recommend. I will be back

Overall a nice facility. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The RV sites are pretty snug to get into and need some pruning, primarily overhead. 5th wheels end up dragging through the tree canopy in some places.

Our camping trip started out with a phone call that our cabin had bats nested in it. The staff was able to get us a much different but definitely a usable cabin in a wonderful wooded area. Making our stay just as enjoyable. Just no kitchen or bath in the cabin. So we brought a stove and KOA showers are hot and very clean! Thanks for taking care of us!

Nice campground near the Redwoods.

We had a great stay. The site we were in was spacious and nicely lined with trees and bushes. The campground was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed use of the dog park and playground. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got to pet the goats and see wild bunnies and baby quail around the canpground, which was fun for the kids. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is gorgeous, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bathrooms need to be better maintained and kept clean, and the late check in process needs to be modified because someone took our reserved site, and we had to spend our first night in the parking lot. We were refunded the fees, but it was stressful not being able to set up our site and wondering if we would get our site.

No soap in the bathroom entire stay. No real amenities. Not what I would expect from a Holiday.

I had wanted to be in the Forrest area and should have picked a different site otherwise campground was near everything we were wanting to see.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Beautiful setting in the redwoods

This is our 2nd visit. This time the camp seemed run down and unkept.

There is a lot of potential here but it missed the mark for us due to poor customer service in the store, seemingly poor planning for keeping the store stocked after a holiday weekend, and the bathrooms/showers. Some stalls did not lock, shower heads are too low for people on the taller side (I am 5’8”&the shower head was eye-level). Campground lacked a lot of things that other KOA Holidays of

HAZARD! DO NOT STAY! Because the sink in the Kamp Kitchen was clogged, we observed dry campers washing and rinsing dishes at a shared water outlet, spilling the water on the ground. Health violation!. Also I overheard a camper in the office reporting a theft of a carry bag while in the shower. And the first site we were assigned had a reported “ground fault” on the 30amp circuit. Thank hea

Beautiful area, nice quiet campground

The check in process was great. The lady helped us insure our RV was next to the cabin being rented by our group. The cabin was clean and comfortable. RV spaces well positioned for privacy and well maintained. Handy to Jedediah Smith. My only negative comment is public spaces (game room, office and particularly The bathroom needs to be updated.

We were in 606, the fire pit was smaller than the rest, we had no shade or privacy, and we were far from the bathrooms. We did have lots of space, room for a big tent, and 2 canopies, a Pic nic table and a small fire pit. We were right across from the play ground, a bonus because we had kids, not the best for noise as there were lots of other kids and they kept running through our campsite!

We were there for the 4 th of July. We had a big group. We got cabins and tents they were all pretty nice. Bathrooms were clean and staff was extra nice (helpfully).we will be back.

Overall, it was good. 1 of the female showers was closed due to regrouting and one of the latches on the bathroom stalls was missing. It was also very uncomfortable using the showers while people kept leaving the door propped open with a rock. My Kabin was missing a table in the second room and there was no heater. All minor issues tho, definitely improved since last year.

Our stay was great. There’s was about 30 of us. Some in cabins and some in tents. The bathrooms were clean and staff was amazing -helpful. We will be back next week.

Water wasn’t warm enough at the secondary showers. In fact it was uncomfortable to shower.

I believe we got the best spot to set up our tent. The site felt secluded, peaceful, and safe. We stayed three nights and truly enjoyed it. Space 113 is the best for sure!

Lots of maintenance needed. The park is in dyer need of repair and love. Which makes the accommodations not like advertised. For the price it should be maintained better!

It’s wonderful to be so close to old forest and tall trees. The camping spots have greenery between most of them.

Nice campground. The restrooms needed to be serviced. We only stayed one night so not sure when they cleaned. Cabin was nice.

When I called to make a reservation, I told the person that I had a 35 foot travel trailer and needed a lot of space to back in. She put us in site 503. I called a few days beforehand and talked with someone else who assured me it would be alright. When we got there, after a lot of back and forth we finally got in the space. When leaving it was worse. Thankfully a worker helped us out.

Decent park but difficult to find your spot and not big rig friendly. Office staff very nice and helpful. Location is great. Lots of kid friendly fun.

The receptionist was friendly and efficient. This is the only time we left a KOA campsite early. The bathroom door was always blocked open and the doors are thin barn style held closed with a hook and eye. There are shower curtains and that’s it. I closed the door to shower but inevitably a staff member would open it, Not safe IMO. The roads have pot holes and game room was filthy. Sad for a KOA

Love this KOA. Highly recommend.

Cabin needed to be stocked with basic utensils. Very expensive stay for what little it offered.

No complaints, and we saw a banana slug.

Love staying here.

Missy and Steve, you two are lifesavers! I was mortified that the truck broke down(and ESPECIALLY on my spouse's birthday), but you guys made sure we were on our way before our checkout time. I'm sure we'll be back as soon as we can afford another stay!

They need to add rocks by the recreation room entrance. The small stepping stones where not safe. When I stepped out I almost twisted my ankle. My 92 year old mother found it very hard to use her walker to get in the room. You should also have some full cabins that are HANDICAP!!!!!! Other then that we had fun getting together with our other family members. Thank you

We loved our stay at the Crescent City KOA, camping among the Redwoods. Walking the grounds was pleasant, the showers and restrooms were clean, and most of the sites are private from their neighbors.

RV Sites are not good. Fire pit was next to the road. No priviacy. Other campers constantly walking through site coming and going from the playground and not just kids. Felt violated from the start when our neighbor approached us through or RV window and complained about the smoke getting into their camper and asked us to relocate. And then proceeded to tell us it was against policy. Felt unsafe

Great campground like they used to be, before they started turning into a big parking lot. Individual wooded sites. Good wifi and clean common areas. Very quiet place camp and relax or visit the local cypress trees.

The tent and RV sites offer enough privacy, but they are close together. Although the bathrooms are on a cleaning schedule, they get messy quickly because there are only 2-3 shower stalls and toilet stalls, with 2 bathroom locations in the entire camp. Overall, good experience and outstanding location near the Redwoods.
