We stayed in a cabin and were arriving really late so I requested linens online and called ahead to make sure we would have them. The lady ensured that we would. We arrived around 1 in the morning and there were no linens at all. Was a rough nights sleep.

Staff were friendly, but the campground is generally run down. 6 out of 8 of the laundry machines were out of order while we were there, our 'deluxe cabin' had broken screens installed backwards, the fridge was not very cold and leaked water, and the mattress was old, saggy, and dirty.

If this was my first KOA I wouldn’t stay at any others. I’ve stayed at quite a few across the US since I was a child and I’ve never seen one quite like this. Bathrooms were dirty constantly and in disrepair. No locks in the women showers and a BAD mold problem in the men’s. No firewood for sale and it was never restocked and bare shelves in the main office. Cabin and front staff were nice

While the cabin we rented was very clean, the bathrooms were a totally different story. While i don't like to give a bad rating and we did find out they just changed ownership the week before we got there, i have to give this for the time we were there (june 14-16, 2025). Hopefully the new owners can turn it around because it's in a very cute location.

Cabin and grounds were wonderful. Employees were friendly and helpful. Bathroom facilities needed more attention both in terms of cleanliness and functional components. Playground swings were great, but the rest was falling down and broken.

Incredibly misleading and run down KOA. The location and setting is beautiful being nestled in the Red Woods. Unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the bathrooms not having toilet paper for days or the trash scattered throughout the property. And that’s just the basics, the extras that are advertised for this KOA (horseshoes without horseshoes, showers without hot water, etc.) are not availab

Great for access to Redwoods/Crescent City. Good cabin. Back bathroom was nearly unusable. Arrived Mon, by Wed I had to go ask for a roll of toilet paper. No hot water, broken toilet handles, filthy floors, falling fencing at dog park and playground. No lights in arcade/rec room. Broken foosball table and ping pong ball, only one washing machine/dryer. Overall VERY rundown.

The setting was very beautiful but the ba5hrooms left something to be desired. Lots of things need fixing there. No shower heads on some of the showers, industrial floor mats that were so painful to stand on while showering, a broken shower stall door, broken toilet seat, only one washer and dryer out of the bunch was working, and one of two bathrooms had no hot water.

The KOA was super dirty. The bathrooms were a mess with random garbage (used w-tips, full sanitary napkin baskets, etc). One of the four sinks, one of the two soap dispensers, one out of three shower nozzles, and the door of one out of three showers were broken. The floors were constantly muddy and toilets dirty. There was garbage piled up all over the property spilling out on the ground.

Cabins were not cleaned , no hot water in the women’s restroom , trash cans were always overflowing not what we expected , we have been coming up almost every year to stay at this koa because of prior experiences not sure we will be returning

The worse stay ever. First of all my cabin was not clean at all. There was a lot of dog hair in the bed and all over the floor, I have pictures to prove. NO hat water in the far restroom ,no seat covers, no soap, all the washers and dryers were out of order. I had to wash my clothes and my blankets because there were hair every where. I would like to have some credit back.

The camping cabin was clean and the porch swing made mornings and evenings lovely. Unfortunately, there is new ownership that has not restocked the store - it was nearly completely empty. They have an ice machine, but no bags to be able to sell ice. It was sad to see the state of this, but the staff were awesome and helpful!!!

I was only there overnight, but it is a beautiful campground. They did a great job of creating the campground amidst the trees, making it extra peaceful and mystical. I arrived after hours, so didn't interact with staff but the facilities, cabin, etc were clean and well-maintained.

We’ve been staying here annually for the last 6+ years. Never had complaints before in previous stays, but this year’s trip we’ve noticed the gradual decline in the grounds and quality of the park. Whether it be the restrooms or the cabins we stay in, quality has definitely declined. We have a large group , and have all concluded we will be looking for a new place to stay for our annual trip

First time at a KOA and we loved it. Cabin was clean, staff was helpful and location was ideal. We were very happy to have chosen this location and will gladly use these types of facilities in the future.

My husband, 10 month old, and I stayed in a Deluxe Cabin the weekend after Memorial Day. It was mostly great. Pack n play fit in the bunk room perfectly. Everything was clean. Husband says the mattress needs replaced— this one had a downturned edge on his side. We used the dog park several times. Would love to have curtains to block more light this time of year as baby goes to bed before dark.

Our cabin was clean and cozy. The patio was a very nice touch. It was very close to the amazing Redwood Groves and also Crescent City.

Cabins garbage can was full ,couch terribly uncomfortable. Had to ask for toilet paper and paper towels.Cable was out ,No TV . Kitchen outlets to far for toaster and coffee pot ,had to get creative. Not Great

Overall I was happy with the visit. Friendly staff at check in and our cabin was very clean and appropriately stocked. However, the KOA wasn't fully operational at the time it appeared. The KOA store was very bare. The bikes weren't available to rent. The rec room was empty. It was Memorial day weekend, so definitely should of been up and running in full.

The office personnel were great and I thought the campground itself was nice. However, I was going to wash clothes when we arrived and out of the 5 to 6 machines they had only 1 of each that worked. There was also a bathroom/ shower area without hot water. The garbage can next to the laundry room was overflowing.

This campground has so much potential! The cabin was cute and clean. The restrooms and showers need lots of cleaning and maintenance There were broken shower heads and toilets and dirt everywhere. The playground was unsafe and needs maintenance and lots of trash on the ground. The game room was filthy. We left a day early due to how gross the bathrooms were. Please clean this place up!

The phone number for the KOA that is posted on the web page will not get you to a person. If you want to talk to a person you have to email them and then hope and pray you catch the phone call. I also asked for 3 linen kits for the cabin and there were none. The office was closed, we slept on the plastic mattresses. I was grateful for the space heater.

Such a wonderful campsite in the middle of a Redwood forrest. Very close to the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State park with ‘Old growth’. Practical location on 101. Clean and friendly. Great camp

The deluxe renal cabin was good. Overall the KOA needs some updating and some maintenance. The bathrooms and showers are horrible they need the most work. The location of the Koa is amazing but it needs some work to make it nice and usable.

Was very happy with theocation, the cabin, and the grounds. The bathrooms were. A huge downside though as they did not seem to get cleaned the entire 4 days we were there. It was very gross.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Located perfectly for hiking and ocean walks. Cabins were clean. It was off season and the bathrooms were not serviced regularly, grass needed mowing, and the office was not open much. I'm sure during summer season the campground is fully staffed. We will definitely come back.

We stayed in the largest Cabin with a full kitchen and shower. We had a great time, however the heating system was broken and we stayed warm with space heaters which did the job. There was no lighter available to strike the gas stove top. Thankfully I had one. Also the can opener does not work at all. So please replace that. Finally there was obvious mold on the wood above and around the shower.

So staying in a cabin, we loved having access to our own bathroom, kitchen, etc. However, there was no heat; there were a few heaters to plug in that popped the breaker. No instructions on how to turn on the burners (we’re campers so we figured it out) and we woke up every morning to ants on the table and counters. It just is not comparable to other KOA cabins we’ve stayed in.

Restrooms are not maintained, no tissue in the toilet, it’s muddy on the floor, no heater on the restroom. Our heater on our room is also broken, and it’s sooo cold!! They also miscommunicated about our stay, office is closed and they never email us where to get the key. Took us 10min to figure where’s the key! Room was fine, the bed is dirty, I’m glad we brought our own wipes.

We will not return to this KOA location. I booked the "Vacation Rental" but we were placed in a "Deluxe Cabin". When we inquired about the mixup the staff told us the cabins are the same size. They are not. The VR is longer, but more importantly it has a COVERED (and larger) front deck where we had planned to grill. I also paid $150 more for the larger and more convenient space.

I tried to contact the office using the number on the website and in the email but no answer. Tried again, no answer. I needed to check in late and there was no direction on how to do that. I fumbled around in the dark until I found the late check in box. The driving paths were gravel and washed out in places. The cabin was clean. The bathroom was disgusting and 2 out of 3 stalls were out of paper

Campground is rundown, bathrooms were dirty and had no soap, overflowing trash and sanitary napkins trashes. Men’s bathroom door was propped open all day/ night. I was given the wrong codes for bathrooms at check in. Store was empty. Campground has gone downhill, won’t be back.

Great campground like they used to be, before they started turning into a big parking lot. Individual wooded sites. Good wifi and clean common areas. Very quiet place camp and relax or visit the local cypress trees.

The tent and RV sites offer enough privacy, but they are close together. Although the bathrooms are on a cleaning schedule, they get messy quickly because there are only 2-3 shower stalls and toilet stalls, with 2 bathroom locations in the entire camp. Overall, good experience and outstanding location near the Redwoods.

The staff is absolutely amazing! They have spent countless hours including on their own time helping me find my cat that escaped. The grounds are very well maintained.The setting is beautiful! I will be back
