Campground Reviews

Service was just mediocre. The bathrooms near the tent sites were absolutely disgusting and when we brought it to their attention twice- they said well they were cleaned. We have pictures to show otherwise. Also they ran out of propane the last two days and showers were cold. We won’t return.

Awesome as always. Thanks !

Staff was very helpful checking us in and giving info on seeing rhe redwoods. Great personal service ie filling up propane tank and delivering it. Clean well equipped. Nice overnight stay

I stay at KOA’s all the time and this location was the worst one I’ve ever been to. Showers by tents weren’t working and bathrooms are not cleaned daily…gross. Banker hours kept at the store and no one is around to help. No garbage dump station and overall not the best upkeep. Plenty of other nicer campgrounds in the area…keep looking.

We are in B 24. The space was too tight for us to build a fire.

Camp site was great after being moved from a mosquito infested site. Bath houses were deplorable, so much so that we opted not to shower until our next stop.

Loved our site very private and with a redwood next to our site. Swing, table & fire pit. Loved being able to walk around in the woods and see redwoods up close and see old roots of redwoods. Staff could have been more friendly and welcoming. Laundry was okay but had 1 washer and 1 dryer out of order and had to wait to use washer as only 3 and 5 dryers.

Friendly, helpful staff, convenient location - close to the beach and redwood Forrest. We stayed in the deluxe vacation cabin and the beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. You can feel and hear the springs sqeak every time you move. The cabin smelled very strongly like cleaning solution when we arrived (think Pine-Sol). All of our clothes smelled like Pine-Sol by the end of the trip.

We’ve stayed at 7 KOAs on a cross country road trip and this one was the worst by far. The people in the office weren’t friendly and the office hours were pretty much nonexistent. The “game room” was filthy and had half the game inoperable. Bathrooms were gross and the showers didn’t even have working locks. WiFi didn’t work unless you were at the office. Not the quality we expect from

The location is excellent for exploring and the red woods. The facilities are very dated and there are no amenities offered at this location. The other big issue was cleanliness of the bathrooms. Not one time did I use the restrooms where something was not out (toilet paper, paper towels, hot water). I know for certain that some were never filled our entire three day stay.

Whitney was a GREAT Host. Very helpful and informative. Lovely campground. Well maintained and quiet. Wish we could have stayed there a week. THANKS!

The picnic table at our site was covered with a sticky substance on one end, making that end unusable. One of the 2 toilets in the men’s bathroom was full of feces and toilet paper. The men’s bathroom smelled like dead fish and was filthy. I expected far better from KOA, this was my first and possibly last KOA experience.

We had extreme difficulties trying to get a hold of a staff member to assist us with changing our site. No one answered. We wanted a different spot but when we looked it said everything was booked but no one ever came to fill the spots. No hot water in multiple bathrooms so you could only shower in one bathroom and there was too many people. It was a crappy KOA and we were bummed. Map was wrong.

Nice place. There were a lot of campers and the bathrooms were messy. Great playground and field for the kids. The tents sites were big with lots of trees.Have to drive to a beach, but overall, nice place to stay.

Stayed in the Deluxe Cabin, which was lovely, clean, and well-equipped. Great having fires in the firepits on clear summer nights! Visited local attractions including the Trees of Mystery and Jedediah Smith national park, which were stunning. Definitely the highlight of our road trip along the coast. The attendant at the office/store was friendly and had great recommendations for nearby hikes.

Slim pickens in the KOA store, laundry facilities not working. When we stayed here last year, the laundry facility was not available either. ? Womens bathrooms were pretty dirty when we arrived. Our cabin smelled like dirty feet and fabuloso. Homeless people come in after hours and use the showers and sleep overnight on the bathroom floor.

Camp site was close to redwoods, which was why we were visiting the area. A few things were unfortunate, laundry has been down for 6 weeks, signs about bike theft being common, and campsite seemed understaffed as garbages were overflowing in game-room and bathrooms.

I was not happy with our stay the laundry facilities was broken the whole time of my stay. I liked the dog area & used it often but whomever is filling in the holes with dirt needs to pay closer attention there was a huge piece of glass in the dirt and I picked it up & placed it on the fence. Did not realize we had to share our space back in to another trailer

Everyone on the staff was extremely nice and one person was extremely helpful me getting my toilet unclogged. He worked on it for more than an hour, and he was off the clock exceptional terrific. Wonderful I tried to give him some money for helping me and he wouldn’t take. His name was Shane

Sites were nice and woodsy. Check-in easy but staff could have been a bit friendlier. No hot water so I was unable to take a shower but the toilets and sinks were clean. Appreciated the design which afforded more privacy than most KOA's. Thanks!

The laundry mat was closed, the hot water in the showers was not working and wasn't told at checking there was a sign on the bathroom. The sites are small and extremely close together. It was not like camping in the Redwoods because the sites are right next to the highway and mostly out in the open. The staff was rude and office/store closes at 5pm

The store closed at 5pm before we got there. So we had to run to town to get fire wood. We were woke up at 1 am by someone knocking on our cabin door. It was a woman obviously on drugs asking for us to give her a ride to town or Oregon. We told her no so she went to the next cabin. There was a sign up about bikes getting stolen at night. We will not be back to this KOA.

We stayed in a cabin without linens. The location was excellent for checking out the redwoods. The cabin was clean and well kept. Check-in and check-out were both super easy and the staff was helpful and friendly. I have already recommended this KOA to people I know looking to travel to the area.

upon arrival we were told that the laundry was out of order for repairs for a couple of days. During our stay we watched the laundry being used by what appeared to be an employee. we were also left with a challenging time parking our rv due to an employee of the park using the driveway as their personal parking area for the laundry... which was out of service??? dirty, piled up garbage, run down.

We enjoyed our stay but realized it's really for playing at the dunes. Nice facility though. Thank you

I was frustrated the laundry was out. Otherwise it was a great stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay with you, we even stayed one more night than we originally planned. It was peaceful and relaxing. The only thing is the mattress in the cabin were thin and uncomfortable. Other that that is is a 2 thumbs up.

Campsite muddy, no concrete as described at the reception area.

Great cabin for one night. Bathrooms was a little far away but not bad . Clean and beautiful area

Most of the campground we saw was very nice, if you are tent or cabin camping in the trees. However the pull through RV spaces (that we were in) are very close together and just don't give much room. Too close to your neighbor, especially with slides out, we were right next to their utilities and their sewer line to sit outside. As a whole though the campground is nice and a great location.

Appreciated that the main office was open til 5pm. Equally thank you for taking care of the campsite and bathrooms, all clean and functional. May your summer season continue to go well!

We've stayed here many times over the years and I know there is a climate change, but with the new owners - they need to put a little work into the place - bushes need to be trimmed and most of the cable boxes need some work

Giving 3 stars for location, however, this is the roughest KOA I’ve ever stayed at. Luckily we were self contained so we didn’t need to use the restroom facilities. Hot water only in the main bathroom and laundry room has apparently been shut down for an indefinite period of time. This is supposedly a Holiday park but there were absolutely no activities. Store nonexistent just ice.

Camp site 112 was amazing 👏🏾 for my first time here. Great location and not far from pebble beach. Amenities were nice . Bathrooms are open to nature if you dont minds Charlotte's web your in a forest remember. Shower water was nice and hot just needed to find the sweet spot. Staff was great 👌🏾. I drove 4 days to get here from Denver CO. Thank you for the memories I'll definitely be back
