We were excited to camp at KOA Crescent City, but the experience was disappointing. The map was outdated, listing unavailable amenities like cable and Wi-Fi. Check-in was confusing with no signage for camper parking. The location has potential, but it needs better maintenance, updated info, and clearer instructions.

Beautiful area, and I understand the new owners took over a place not taken well care of, but still need much more work!!! KOA corporate help????? Needs alot of tlc and supplies. No sheets or blankets available nothing in the store! More disappointed in KOA than the new owners!

Beautiful location for a campground and that’s about it. This is the worst koa I’ve ever stayed at. Please believe other reviewers before staying. Overflowing trash for days, homeless dumpster diving, unclean bathroom facilities, mattress in cabin that was not fluid/bed bug protected, the list goes on. Worst of all was the unfriendly attitude of all the staff.

The site we stayed in was nice. The facilities were terrible. Showers dirty with barely any pressure. Toilets that don’t flush. Game room that is broken down and no lights. Laundry facilities not working. Would never recommend and will never stay again. Unfortunate because we have stayed at the amazing Warrington OR KOA and had an amazing time. This place is a dump and KOA should be embarrassed.

Dirty bathrooms, place claimed they clean daily but its too dirty for it to be cleaned daily. Several showers and toilets didn't work. Dirty towels on the floor (all ladies bathroom). Bathroom doors locked. Staff are not present, close early. Phone is hit or miss to get someone. Staff was telling guests to come back later as she was doing her laundry in all the washers/dryers.

personnel were courteous. Ice cream freezer was well stocked bathrooms were mostly clean.. if you advertise Wi-Fi for your campground, it should cover the entire campground not just the area by the office. please inform all campers not to leave their food outside.

Great location for exploring the Redwoods area. Campsites were nice, but most toilets and showers were out of order during our stay. No hot water in the bathhouse near the tents. Playground was rundown and in need of repair (tripping hazards and some rusty nails exposed).

Facility is not well kept. The showers that were close to our site were not working as three of the stalls had 'out of order' signs posted and missing shower heads. Some of the sites do not have well posted numbers for ID. We arrived after dark and had a hard time identifying our site. We asked a neighbor camper and he had difficulty as well. One of the roads had overgrown foliage, scratched car.

Tent sites are overgrown and a mess. Three showers unusable and filthy restrooms. Front RV area looks fine but obviously the tent area is not a priority. $55 with an extra adult total , not worth it!

Lovely grounds with redwoods and mature landscaping. Good separation between sites. Front office very helpful. Old infrastructure (showers, laundry) being upgraded slowly.

Nice setting. Our space fit our rig easily. It’s rustic but we like that. It had a nice large dog park. There was always someone on site working on the grounds. We even saw a herd of Elk one morning while we were walking the dogs. Convenient to town, beaches and the redwoods.

This park need a lot of work done. The things you expect KOA to have was lacking. The laundry for one only one working machine. Out of the 6 women’s showers only 2 were working. The park was nice but lacked what you would expect from a KOA

cool little campground tucked into the redwoods. no road noise. Sites a little tight even for 25 ft RVs. Facilities could use some TLC and WiFi doesn’t work well.

This campground has the potential to be great. Unfortunately it’s just adequate. We arrived for a “late” check-in after 5:00. In the 3 days we were there we never had an encounter with an owner. Our site was great but only because we were on the end with a patio. Our neighbors were right on top of us. So much to see in the area though so you’ve got that going for you.

The stay was pleasant enough but the facilities could use some work. Out of the 6 showers only 2 women’s showers were working. In the laundry room only one washing machine and two dryers were working. The camp store was closed the majority of Saturday which made it hard to get quarters for the laundry. We had to drive into town to get quarters to wash laundry.

This KOA is set up for tenters. The Motorhomes and a trailers were put in very narrow dirty spots, we couldn’t open our side doors. Also, when we got there vehicles were lined up to get in because the office was closed at 2:00 check-in time. We also tried calling them while on the road after. 10:00 am got recording ”open at 10:00”. The store was empty of supplies and food. Should not be a K

We had an absolute wonderful time. Camp site was so beautiful. Our children made many friends and explored until the sun went down. Our only complaint is that the showers were not operational in our nearest facility. Other than that we had an absolute wonderful time at your koa!

The dogs are still an issue, people are not cleaning up after their dogs and they are just barking. Would love to see something done on this problem. We did love staying with you and loved our spot. Thanks

We arrived at 2:55pm, door locked.When I finally got to check in, the store was empty and disorganized.They never stated a word about new owners.No one was wearing any yellow shirts to be identified.No wifi. No laundry.Trash left over from others,not picked up from previous. Noone picking up trash and the pet area was disgusting. Poop shoved everywhere and no clean up. Won’t be staying here agai

This KOA had sold over the winter and they are working very hard to get it back! The location is gorgeous and NO TRAINS! So very quiet and the location is very central to everything. We were disappointed because the store had not been restocked yet so they didn't have any cool stickers for our rig.

Worst campground ever. Not clean, overgrown with weeds, nasty bathrooms, non-working washer/dryers, staff working bankers hours. Don't know how it manages to carry the KOA brand. Plenty other, much nicer camps in the area.

Campground was pretty dirty. Half the showers didn't work. No events or activities at all for family to do in the evenings. The store was completly empty. It looked like this place was on its last leg. I love this campground and have come for years. I am scared for the future of this place. This place was not a KOA campground, but just a basic, no amenities, grimy, campground.

This was a little hard. Why? The campsite is one of the most beautiful of all of the KOAs we visited. We were in a beautiful grove of mature redwoods, and it really felt like camping. However, over the 2 days we were there, we never saw a staff member, sinks didn't work, trash wasn't picked up, paper towels weren't replaced, showers didn't work. It has a lot of potential.

The camping spot assigned to us for tent camping was horrible. It was basically a place next to alders and sticker bushes and slanted small dirt area with no privacy. Very ugly compared to the red wooded trees pictures online. The gravel roads were dusty. The goat pin look very un kept with weeds they would not even eat. The bathrooms were in need of lots of upgrades and maintenance.

Wonderful location and friendly staff are the positive notes! Trash overflowing in every can & dumpster was my first impression along with no store inventory. Add to that 3 out of 3 toilets clogged, 2 out of 3 washing machines out of order, and filth everywhere in this unkept RV park. Sorry to say it is only KOA that I would never recommend.

Our first time at a KOA and did not get a great first impression. This was recommended to us and perhaps it was the change of ownership (?). The setting was great but the feel of the place and cleanliness, didn't come up to par.

The dirt road into camp sights was very rough. The trash bin was overflowing and trash bags were stacked next to the bin twice the size of bin. Store was empty. Beautiful area but needs a lot of work.

Showers near us were all out of order, sink clogged, trash overflowing, nobody answers the phone, dog park fence falling apart and dog poop bin overflowing, fire pits rusted out and need replaced. I've stayed here multiple times over the years, but it's went downhill recently. I'll be checking out other campgrounds in the area for my next visit.

Garage everywhere, animals being abused by overgrown weeds, water bowl thingy for animals, fed trees hanging over our rv site 100% dead, I’ve been camping for years. Been to a ton of kOA’s and never seen a place not taken care of like this place.

There were a lot of recent bad reviews. Some stuff was warranted. But my stay was great!! The tent area is the nicest I’ve ever stayed at in a KOA. I know it’s new owners but they seemed to be getting it turned around. I would recommend staying there anytime especially if tent camping or taking advantage of the little cabins. Beautiful setting!!

The play area was big and Camp K-9 was also good sized. Bathrooms were pretty dirty, if you need Wi-Fi it did not work at all at our camp spot. Over all a decent spot for one night!

There are two bathroom buildings. The bathroom within the main building are the only ones with working showers. The women’s room only 2 of the 3 were operational. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer were operational out of the 3. The store closes at 5. The playground area was great for kids. I hope that the new management will fix and make necessary updates.

Dirty. Rundown. Laundry not working. Bathrooms were really bad. Mold, plugged drains so standing water. Office hours not honored. No one on site pm. No one cleaned for couple days etc….

Not what I expected from a Koa. I realize there is a change of ownership going on, but laundry was closed and the store was empty. They said all the new merch would be in next month. Was not impressed.

I am giving this review 4 stars because I love the location. But the plumbing situation and lack of showers and adequately flushing toilets and maintained bathrooms was super disappointing for me. I know there was a change in ownership but having two women's showers available for the whole campground is absurd. Also - people with disabilities need a shower chair so they can sit and shower.

We stay at this campground every year and this time was different the garbage in the whole camp was full bathroom went cleaned the whole time we where there and out of six showers only two were working so sorry but we love this place and it needs some TLc

Great place, comfort and great ambience. The rec room has piano in it, awesome. The staff were great!

Great campground like they used to be, before they started turning into a big parking lot. Individual wooded sites. Good wifi and clean common areas. Very quiet place camp and relax or visit the local cypress trees.

The tent and RV sites offer enough privacy, but they are close together. Although the bathrooms are on a cleaning schedule, they get messy quickly because there are only 2-3 shower stalls and toilet stalls, with 2 bathroom locations in the entire camp. Overall, good experience and outstanding location near the Redwoods.
