Just like other reviews this KOA isn’t anything flashy probably just a stop and go spot. The amenities weren’t that great, the pool and spa were usually filled with tree spores and leafs. I would have given this place 2.5 stars, but just like other reviews the staff was rude. Just make sure your child doesn’t step foot in the spa area or you will get screamed at. Will not be coming back.

Campground was as expected. Was aware of the train traffic prior to booking. Not a big deal. What was unfortunate on Sunday morning as people were trying to check out a power washer was being used to clean pool. This meant no showers, no ability to use clean out when dumping tank, and no toilet or bathroom use -- which people did anyway --- and created mess. Give thought to better timing.

check in on sunday was easy. Linda, took us to our site and was very helpful. Mark who took care of the emptying of black and grey tanks was very polite and helpful. these are the kind of employes you keep and reward. would say sites are a bit small and crowded otherwise good. bathrooms older but well kept and clean. seems most travelers have pets and had to ask twice for dog bags.

This was my second time staying here and Overall the staff was fantastic and the campground was very nice the only issue was that there is something wrong with your water, I filled my fresh water at the site and the sulfer smell was so bad it was giving me a headache also I have a new inline water filter that i needed to repkace it was full of some type of black setament

Went to the store at 7:30 pm to get ice and it was closed. Hours said it was open until 8 and no sign saying they may close early. I think charging 10 dollars for wood is way to much!

First night my step dad diesel truck was acting up and not starting so an employee came down and called a friend and got it running. Simply very friendly staff! Especially mark coming after hours to bring me firewood! We definitely will be back again! And the pool was a nice touch on extreme hot days! Big hit with the family!

It started off as a decent stay, the lady at check in was a bit rude. The pool was closed and the water wasn’t working when we arrived. After that things were smoother. However, don’t expect your wood to arrive if you order it to your spot, don’t expect any kindness, compassion or care if you need to check out early or if you want a credit or refund for anything.

Arrived needing to dump my holding tanks but the dump station was on the main entrance and it was hot outside as well as busy! We reserved W/E only as all FHU were taken. One of the guys approached me while disconnecting our toad and said he would be happy to pump us out with their portable honey wagon in our site. I gladly accepted, saved me blocking 1/2 of the main drive. Much appreciated!!

Nice place, hosts were very accommodating and helpful. I had to change my original plans and ended up calling a few times, each time I was helped in an accommodating manner. Family had a blast. Will visit again. Hopefully sooner than later.

Difficult to give a quality review, as we were stuck in the poor smoke conditions. Not the fault of KOA.

We enjoyed our wooded site. We appreciated that they delivered the firewood to our site. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The staff was friendly, available and helpful.

Without air conditioning it was miserable to sleep in the cabin. The area is lovely and we enjoyed the park but will use a hotel if we come in summer again.

Our campsite had a tree that blocked the awning, and sites were packed together with almost no privacy. The pool was closed, then freezing when it reopened. The playground was run down, overgrown, and had broken equipment. The game room was missing pool balls, games took our money, and the showers had standing water. Overall, the campground was poorly maintained.

The park itself was nice however the staff itself seemed young and inexperienced, one in particular. When we checked in we were told that we would be escorted to our site. After waiting 2 minutes, our escort walked by us and gave a slight backward wave, dismissal. Once we found our site there was someone parked there. Didn’t matter because the site was not full hookup. We stayed at the KOA as a less expensive option than getting a hotel in Duluth for a dog show. Last year we were not able to stay at our usual campground just outside of Duluth and found this KOA. We came back this year because the showers and bathrooms were much better than the campground we had stayed at for years. It is about a 25-minute drive to downtown Duluth.

Loved our stay. Campground and bathrooms were clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Playground could use an update though. Overall, very pleased and can't wait to come back.

We staying in one of the back cabins - very nice location with auxiliary bathroom near by. This is a nice KOA in rural-ish area - an active train line does run next to the property. Dog area is gravel down a road.

Somehow the dates of my stay changed, but they were able to accommodate me. This is a more primitive setting than most KOA’s that I’ve stayed in, but still nice. My site felt private.

It was noisy. The wifi sucked, a main reason we stopped there. The lots were small but there was some tree coverage.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The campground is small and quiet. There is a train track close but we stayed in our ice castle and barely heard it. The trip was peaceful.

One of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed at we had a site with a pavilion that provided the picnic table and an area for our lawn chairs the staff was courteous and respectful and takes very good care of their Campground

At least two showers were out of order, as was one of the sinks in the ladies restroom. The campground was full, so those things were needed.

Minutes away from Jay Cooke State Park, and most services a person may need. Campground was clean and comfortable. Best showers yet at any of the KOA's I have been to.

The place was very accommodating Bill his son Bobby, his mother and their staff were great. The cabins were clean. The pool area was small, but it did the job. We all had a great time ice cream, social and a hayride on Saturday. We had a lot of fun hope to have our end of the year trip with you next year 2027.
