Staff was not very friendly at check in. Stayed in a deluxe cabin which had 2 older TV’s with no HDMI inputs and only given 1 remote with scotch tape to hold the batteries in it. Microwave was working intermittently, had to keep opening the door and shutting it again to make it work. I have been visiting your facility for years and it seems the place could use some updating considering the price

Easy check in. We used the laundry facility right away. The bathrooms and shower rooms were awesome.

The parking was unusual but had a nice space. The sites could use a little clean up attention. Showers were good. Dog park and nature walk were lacking. Wasn’t a bad stay but not quite a holiday location,

We were very disappointed in the condition of the campground. Very unappealing....weeds everywhere...did not appear cared for at all.The signage was non existent. We have stayed in many KOAs and most always have a good experience but in all the years of KOA visits this site was the most disappointing and uninviting. We only stayed one night and were happy to be on our way. Please cleanup!!

This particular KOA needs some grounds work. The landscape is over grown and needs some attention. The wilderness hike around the property needs to have better clearance with some gravel on path for active guests. Landscape around the lake is overgrown which makes it hard to see and possibly fish if applicable. The staff was wonderful and super helpful with check-in.

Used as a base camp to visit Shenandoah National Park and Appomattox National Historical Park. Great showers - very clean and spacious. Would stay here again if in the area.

Campground is very convenient to most of the Charlottesville activities and sites. The sites are a little tight, but we were very satisfied with the pull thru for our 35 ft fifth wheel. It was level enough to only require a small amount of adjustments. Wifi was adequate. Would have been good for them to accept AMEX.

Staff was VERY helpful with making the reservation and giving us advice on the best route to take to get there. We even received a callback to make sure we knew the best route, so I assume another route that a GPS might use may be less friendly to larger vehicles. My only complaint was that the reserved site was not very level, which is something I expect from a KOA site more often than others.

We had booked for 2 nights, due to a change of plans, we had to leave early on the 2nd night. Without us asking they credited us back for the 2nd night, only, charging us for a late check out. This was a pleasant surprise, and excellent customer service.

We had a great 3 night stay. Wish the gameroom had more games for grandkids to play ages 3 to 6. The bouncer needed a good cleaning.. everything else was great! We will be back!

The campground is not maintained. The sites need a lot of attention: no grass just a few weeds. None of the trees had been trimmed. Definitely not worth the daily price around $70. But because of its proximity to the sites we wanted to see it was the most convenient; Monticello & Highland

The pool had weeds growing up the side of the fencing, barb wire at the top and the water was ridiculously disgusting and green. The basketball court had no basketball and is extremely outdated. The jump pad was dirty. Poison ivy along the walking trail. The store was clean. Price was too high for one night ($100) for an outdated and dirty campground. We do not recommend staying here.

The location is great, close to the university campus and world class wineries. The road to get there is very tight for a large RV. The price is very high for a gravel sight.

My only complaint is their closing hour is 6 pm and their opening hour is 9 am. Other then that, the people were really nice.

Campground was nice and the bathroom was immaculate. Only wish the pool was heated. Had a great stay and definitely would recommend the Charlottesville KOA. .

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
