Campground Reviews

Perfect place for a stop in Charlottesville. This campground is close to a lot of attractions and entertainment. This place has amazing new immaculate restrooms. Pool was nice and kids kept busy with the pool and playground. Very quiet and cozy campground. Large sites are also a plus. Thank you

Need to get rid of unlicensed, run down vehicles in campsites. Little kids overrun hot tub. Tiki bar was nice though. Beach access nice, pool area, aside from hot tub, very nice. Convenient garbage collection, ice and wood delivery to campsite very convenient. Store well stocked and friendly staff! Overall good visit.

Very quiet area. Only 'issue' was location of sewer on site. It was uphill due to unlevel site.

Perfect stay! Quiet, very clean, updated and clean bathrooms. Small size campground, but very accommodating for large rigs, playground and pool, shelter, cabins and camp store with everything you could need. 20 minute beautiful drive into downtown C'ville. Lots to see and do nearby. Highly recommend.

another fun weekend.

It was nice to stay at a campsite that was much calmer and quieter than some others that we have visited recently. The large trees provided a lot of shade which was really nice. The sites were very easy to get in and out of. The location of this KOA is great for visiting wineries, Monticello, and downtown Charlottesville!

Great stay, very quiet, like previous visits. Enjoyed the trip into Charlottesville, and the farmer's market.

Very nice campground close to many attractions. The bathrooms were among the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground. Very quiet with a friendly staff.

The owner and staff are so kind and accommodating. I felt very welcome from the first moment I checked in. The facilities are very well kept and comfortable and I felt extremely safe staying here.

The rate charged (much too high) was not reflective in what was offered ... No internet service at campsite ... Poor cable reception and limited channels

A great campground! Located close to all the attractions of the Charlottesville area. After a day of touring, we enjoyed relaxing in the pool, which we always had to ourselves. Sites were spacious and level. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

Staff was great, sites were fine. WiFi signal was horrible. That’s not a bandwidth issue. The signal itself was poor and we were close to the office. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice campground with lots of trees. Pool is far enough away that it’s not annoying for those staying at the park.

Lovely park no issues Beautiful showers

The toilet and shower rooms were the nicest we've experienced at a campground. Appreciate having a private, lockable space to shower. Especially traveling as the solo adult with young kids.

We booked for two nights after walking around the grounds we decided not even staying the second day/night. The pool was dirty with barbed wire wrapped around the fence and the picnic table were old with the paint chipping off. We immediately booked another reservation elsewhere. This is the worst KOA I’ve ever been to and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Nice park though roads to location a little tough for Class A towing. Bathrooms were new and spotless

Just one night but comfy & quiet & convenient - the cabin was a bit dusty but I expect a campground cabin to be less than perfectly clean. I opened the screened window & was fine. It even had a TV to help me unwind a bit.

The water is unusable. The smell of sulfur (rotten eggs) filled the RV. The dog park is small for the size of the camp. There is no garbage can available to dispose of the doggie bags so you either have to carry it back to the RV or go to the dumpster. The pet walk/nature trail is nice.

We had a good stay. Friday-Sunday. It was rainy, so park was quiet. We enjoyed our stay. Somewhat disappointed that it seems to cater more to adults. And a tv in the cabin was rather a surprise. We would have preferred a mini fridge. The cabin was clean & we enjoyed the nature trail! And the store keeper… she was terrific. The rest of the staff, not much to say. Overall a good visit. Thank y

Loved the Camping Cabin! We were going to tent camp at a State Park but with all the forecasted rain we cancelled. Found a cabin available at C'ville KOA and booked it that same day. Very clean and secluded. It rained and we hung out on the porch. We will be back!

This a nice campground nestled in the forest, not far from Charlottesville. The people were not very friendly; it could use a little work and updates. The cost for one night was higher than most KOA's traveling across the US, from AZ.

We had a nice time at this KOA. The only thing that wasn't great were the little kids that were screaming until 11pm one night. I understand that they were having fun so it's not your fault. The bathrooms were amazing! I also loved that there was a sink to wash our dishes. Overall, the place was very quiet and relaxing.

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
