This is a well kept Campground. The best feature of the campground is that it is located near Monticello (Plantation of Jefferson), Highland (home of Madison), and Michie Tavern. If you are interested in seeing those sites then this is a must place to stay.

Loved this KOA. The campsites are more secluded than other KOA's. We loved the campsite and the Charlottesville area we extended our stay by a day! There is a .6 mile nature trail that was great for walking the pup!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed five days and appreciated how quiet and clean everything was. We had three dogs and plenty of places to walk them. It was a great location and we will definitely come back.

Small sites, horrible wifi, no cell signal (Verizon). This place is way overpriced for what you get. Will not stay again.

They are working on adding a bathhouse. Right now a quiet but uneventful campground. Good for an overnight, although we thought the water even with us filtering it had a weird smell.

A very quiet campground. It’s a little far from the major highways but the roads are okay. The Wi-Fi was bad and cell service is poor. The sites are well laid out and spacious.

Great campground, Ran out of propane and they were quick to get someone to come up front to fill my tanks! only negative was no trash pickup at sites and when I took my trash to the dumpster the side doors were strapped shut and had to try and hold the top lid open and throw trash in. I am tall so I managed but but later saw a woman struggle and finally give up on getting her bag in the top,

We just came in for a one nite stay while traveling on our route home... We were given an easy pull through over looking the woods.. And it was in close proximity to the bath house.. Bath house was immaculately clean and new . Very pleasant to use.Nice showers with lovely cold water on a super HOT summer day.. (also hot water if wanted)

The staff were very friendly! The cabin we stayed in was very clean and comfortable for a quaint one room cabin. The restrooms were the cleanest I have seen in a campsite.

I was very excited for this trip but the campground was just okay with some areas that need attention. The pool looked murky when I walked up to check it out. The fishing area was just nasty. No fishing happened during our trip. The trail for walking was in need of some trimming. Our campsite was nice but on the smaller side and we did pay for an upgrade to a patio with a fire ring.

Staff was unfriendly. The pool looked like it belonged in a penitentiary. 6 ft fence, topped with barb wire, with trees and vines grown thru .

Great facility! Bathrooms were VERY nice. Campgrounds felt private and safe. Camp store was close-by, stocked, and open. Walnut Creek Park is very nearby and has great trails, swimming/beach, boat ramp, etc. Tent site was flat without rocks/roots. Lots of things to do: swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, large inflatable bounce mat. Quiet at night. Highly recommended!

Quick weekend in Charlottesville, so the location of the KOA was great. We visited several years ago as well. The campground does not seem to be well maintained. Our deluxe site was also quite a challenge for our 43' Fifth Wheel. We could not use the patio or firepit as our steps opened right into the patio. Disappointing given the extra fees we paid.

Nice place to rest the soul, peaceful, quiet, relaxing and not much commotion going on. Small quaint campground, employees super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a quiet weekend stay at this campground.

This is a very nice park. The sites are level, long enough for big rigs (ours is 54' long with the toad hooked up) wide and well -graveled. The wifi was good for campground wifi. You aren't going to stream movies but it does well with checking emails. The roads into Charlottesville are scenic and in good condition.

The Charlotteville KOA allowed us to check in early which was nice and the bathrooms where clean. It's not the most attractive park and we were disappointed with our total stay.

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
