We enjoyed the quiet at this KOA but there are a few things that need to be addressed we think. Although the showers were fine the laundry area could be improved. There were 6 washers out of order of the 8 or 9. The dog walking areas were filled with stickers and the dog run itself was filled with dog poop. Some of the staff was friendly while others were a little grumpy.

Large and level sites. Clean all around! Will need to return as Carlsbad Caverns were not open (government) so I missed getting to explore there!

We planned our stay here for three nights to go see the bat caves. However, the park was closed due to the government shutdown. So we didn't do anything except relax. The park was clean, spacious and the staff were very helpful. It is far away from most things so it's a 30 min drive to anything.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Carlsbad KOA. From the moment you walk into the office, the staff makes you feel like part of the community. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the local area. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. One thing that stood out to me was that they’re close to offering fiber-optic internet at each site.

We stayed for three days. Our site was a premium site with a patio, swing, and grill. It was worth every penny. The staff was very helpful. Definitely recommend!

The pizza they delivered to our site was delicious and the view of the stars at night out there was incredible The sites are very spacious and the staff was wonderful

Very nice campground. Only reason didn't give 5 is that cable & WiFi not working. They are in process of converting to fiber optics, but it was not complete yet, so all was down. 2 good dog parks, nice space between lots. We had lot C09 which came with block, covered patio, table-chairs, swing & grill.

Worst KOA that we stayed in! Sign in front stated it was #1 KOA in New Mexico. Could not be farther from the truth! Bathroom were disgusting! Ceiling I. Women’s bathroom was caving in. We stayed in a wonderful KOA in Tucumcari/Route 66 last night. Bathrooms were clean and the entire campground was well kept. In my opinion this is the campground that should be ranked #1.

We had a great stay, Thank You very much. We look forward to returning. We missed out on seeing the Caverns due to the Government shut down, so we'll be back. We found many other things to do.

Staff were friendly enough. Sites are level. Minimum ADA standard facilities. Clean but pretty run down. Giant hole in bathroom ceiling. Sewers were having trouble. 6 of the 9 washers were out or order. Dryers good. The sour gas smell and lots of cactus burrs everywhere would deter me from staying more than a couple nights again. Hard to walk your dog anywhere or keep your RV floors clean.

Luckily the reviews had mentioned the very hard water and when I checked in I was told not to use it at all and we didn't want it in our tanks. The park should either fix it or give a discount because of it. The BBQ was very good.

Staff was very nice. We were told at ck-in to drink & cook with store bought water only! The groceries were 25 min away. Should have been told prior. Men bath, clean; but one sink working & no paper to towels. Advertise cafe; but only Fri- Mon,wefound out. Stickers EVERYWHERE! Including rock area. Dog park, full of dog poop, and just horrible. Property needs overhaul, not up to KOA standards

Stayed 5 days in October. Loved the wide spaces and quiet park. Restrooms are a little dated but were clean. Management is updating water system so water isn’t so hard. Will return when we’re in the area.

We were very happy with our stay at the Carlsbad KOA. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about attractions in the area. The site was roomy and clean. We wiould definitely stay here again.

Everything was great except the dog park was full of goat head stickers. Both of my dogs got them in their feet and my little schnauzer had about 10 embedded in his moustache and muzzle. Other than that it is a good place to stay.

The property needs cleaning up. pool was closed, bathrooms were dirty and water was unusable/contaminated. smelled like sewage. We were warned not to drink water when we arrived. laundry room was dirty. only 3 washing machines out of 9 worked. machines needed to be cleaned. Carlsbad Caverns were closed. nothing to do in the area. I asked for a refund before arriving but was told no!

Lovely clean camp-sites spaced well apart and with nice views. Showers and toilets were older but well maintained. Small store with all essentisls. Very good menu of evening meals that can be ordered and delivered to your site. Highly recommend for an overnight stay.

Water was not potable. No warnings were given in advance. We were told about the situation when we checked in. The camp store did not have water for sale.

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time was different. The grounds are covered it stickers. They get in everything. They have not kept up with maintenance. Everything is run down. The vacuum at the entrance doesn't work and there’s not even a sign on it. It has really gone downhill since our last stay.

Sites are spacious, clean and level. It’s off the highway about a half mile so you don’t hear a lot of road noise. I only spent 1 night because of the govt shutdown. I was not charged for the additional nights I cancelled.

we were here five years ago and loved it so this trip decided to come back. That said this park is clean but truly in need of upgrades. The smell here was awful. I saw a worker that said they were working on the sewer system. The host when we checked in gave me a story about the hard water and the Spotty WiFi that we could see tv in the rec ctr or use cable. Come lets get to 2025 guys!

I paid for a premium site and specifically asked for site with shade, and options for a grill. While there were several premium sites with covered shelter, grill, pavers patio, swing, we were told our swing broke so not available. Our site: patio and grass was FULL of bullhead stickers, no shelter, no grill, and patio set was full of spiders and webs. Staff did not answer phone and not helpful.

The staff is super friendly and the grounds are well maintained. We had a few hours without water but rectified quickly. Our visit was mid October and the flys and mosquitoes were horrible. No fault of the facility. The location is about 18 miles in either direction of Carlsbad and Roswell. We did enjoy our stay.

Overall neither my wife or myself were underwhelmed. Site was hot, dry and very little shade. We were especially dissappointed with the very small dog parks which had numerous dog droppings all over both parks. We ALWAYS cleanup after our dogs and cleanup policy should be enforced! There was also little grass in the dog parks and the dirt becomes dust very fast.

The KOA was very well kept and clean. The site had a patio with a grill & swing. The site was easily accessed. The only negative is the unreliable internet service provided by the park. We stayed there about three months ago and NEVER had an internet connection for our phones or TV. We purchased a Travlfi Journey hotspot which worked to give us reliable internet service.

This campground was in dire need of TLC No amenities, thought the pool was scheduled to still be open but it was already closed. From the looks of it IDK if I would have even went in! I will not return

The Carlsbad KOA is one of the better KOAs we've stayed at. The camping sites are spacious and clean. Ours had a nice shade tree. It's easy to get in and out of the campground even with large rigs. Most important was our host. She was the nicest lady and very accommodating. I highly recommend staying at the Carlsbad KOA on your next adventure.

Overall the campground was nice. They are having some infrastructure problems with the campground water system. we were without water on 3 separate occasions with no notice. The pool was not open because the water temp was not at 71*? The outside temp was 91!! They made no effort to open the pool. The mens restroom faucets would not work correctly. Not up to KOA standards!!

RV park itself is nice. But no WiFi signal at all. The 2 nights we stayed there were no water in the morning, we had to leave without any water to use.

First, the positives: to Kat in the office, thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality displayed during check in. You made the stay very nice. We appreciate you! The overall campground is pretty clean and has nice large open spots for an RV stay. The dog park was enclosed with a fence and the playground was fun for the kids. Overall a nice, quiet campground. Additionally, when I called to let them know we were coming in early we were allowed to park in the overflow area until our site opened up. On the cons, the drinking was disgusting. So, plan accordingly if you come out. The location is much further than expected from the Caverns(although I should have looked at this closer in my planning) about an hour away. The pool was not open and did not plan to open until after Memorial Day although it was already super hot out.

Quiet, it is quiet at night and I like it. Standard rock pull through with 50amp, water & sewer. Shade tree at my site. Cable is available as is WiFi at no charge. Pool, kitchen and club house. I was greeted kindly with a smile and a good attitude. If we are back this way I'd definitely stay again.
