Clean, quiet, and a perfect stop on our road trip. 45 minutes away from the caverns. We did not use the showers/restrooms. Pool does not work but we didn’t need it.

Very nice clean, it was quiet out of town but still not to far to see all the sites near by. The pool wasn’t open, but they deliver lunch or dinner right to your site and you just put your trash in front of your site and they pick it up

Staff was kind and helpful! Facilities were nice and clean! Only bad part was the pool was closed for maintenance, but staff provided a list to local places near by.

Maintenance was an issue during our stay. There is only one restroom area for the entire campground (not well planned) and in the Men’s area only two toilets and one of them was not working. In the middle of June and the swimming pool was closed. Information like this should have been relayed to guests, in advance, and a discount given for the inconvenience.

The water tasted horrible, and the pressure was incredibly unreliable. There were ants everywhere, and the pool has been out of service for months. The laundry was subpar, and so were the bath houses. This is not what I've come to expect from KOA. Maybe from other RV lots, But I've come to be able to trust the KOA name, and know that it will be a good place to stay. This fell short of that

Not a bad place to stay at all. Unfortunately, the pool was closed which was a huge disappointment for my kids and there were some major water line issues during the stay as well. Friendly staff, clean and very level sites however! Bath houses were also clean and maintained well.

Very disappointed the pool was closed, the desert dust sandblasted my travel trailer, ended up leaving early and even asked about a refund. I was laughed at and told to honk and wave on our way out �

The pool was not working and it was 107degrees. It was very disappointing. The host basically said go swim in the lake. The women's shower were disgusting. Need cleaning. It does have a good spot for dogs and it is a convenient stop in route to Colorado

Good service and people. We were unable to get a wifi signal from our spot. There a water main break on one day during the stay. The working bathrooms were not cleaned very well- we did not use them. The pool was closed so that was disappointing.

When I checked in, I asked about veteran's discount. The desk person explained that I am a rewards member and was eligible for 10% off on stay. When I printed the receipt at home, I did not see a 10% discount. I was charged full price. The internet/wi-fi was weak or could not connect. On Wednesday, message, unable to connect to network. Internet service was excellent last year.

this camp is one that appears to be going downhill and not being maintained as it should be. The spaces are nothing but dead grass or weeds. All the cactus that have been planted are dying. The pool was closed for at least the last 2 weeks that we were there. 3 of the washers were out of order. Water spickets were dripping water when water hoses were hooked up, and would not seal appropriately.

Good: Facility was clean and tidy. Staff members were prompt to respond to issues and friendly. Bad: Pool was closed my entire stay. It is a bit of a jog to the nearest gas station. Volleyball court was full of rocks and dirt, not sand. Ugly: My sewer connection backed up just as I pulled the valve. (Luckily grey water). The swimming pool was not available to use. They advertised free food delivery and refused to deliver to our trailer. We left a day early and they refused to refund us.

First of all the entire staff was excellent, friendly and professional. The first that was very disappointing is there is no deviation from the rules. We tried to check in 1 hourl early and was told no that we are not allowed to make exceptions to the rules. I don’t think that’s a very good policy. Staff were super awesome!!! Super informative, super kind, just complete rockstars in my opinion!!! Only downfall is the pool was closed for whatever reason but my kids understood and found the playground to be fun

Park was a disappointment. We asked if they had pool, we were told yes. Pool has been down for months. Green algea floating and grass between cement. At least drain it. Same with pond. Goat heads. Unkempt lawn areas. Bathrooms no hot water in one, other lack of cleanliness and no AC in 2nd. Kids room and location to Caverns is why we stayed. Staff great. Not what we expect from KOA.

Good location and staff was friendly. Would have given a better rating but the pool was green. Looks like it has been that way for weeks or months. One bathroom was closed and was not open due to a hot water issue for days. Poor WiFi at the site I was in. We paid for a deluxe patio so I thought we paid too much for what we got.

First off, Staff was wonderful. We have stayed at this KOA once a year since 2021. This was the first time we have seen it in this poor condition. The pool was disgusting and green. The dog park was awful. Weeds everywhere, the grass was dead. Bathrooms not working. They need to work on this place. It used to be so nice.

The actual sites were fine and the utilities functional. However, the bathrooms at the main buildking didn't have hot water and the other bathrooms didn't have working AC (the fans did iittle to help). The pool was broke and it appeared to have been for some time; the koi pond looked no better than the pool and didn't see any Koi. Sprinklers were on 24/7 but many didn't rotate. Apathetic help.

I was disappointed that the pool was out of service and we were not notified prior to our arrival. It was over 100 degrees the day we arrived and were looking forward to cooling off in the pool. We also should have been notified of no hot water in the main bath houses prior to our arrival, the auxiliary bath houses had hot water but poor AC.

The staff was friendly however the campground was not kept well. The swimming pool was filthy with green water and algae. The pond was in worst shape. The grass could hardly be called grass either the amount of weeds . I’ve been to may KOA campgrounds and this one was far below the standard

Not sure how it claims to be #1 KOA in New Mexico. It was awful. The pool was not open. Looked like a swamp. Being that school is out and families are traveling, they should have been ready. Carlsbad is very hot in the summer and the pool would have been nice. Bathrooms were dirty. Our family will never stay here again. The only good thing about this KOA was that the staff was very friendly.

This Kamp was not what you would expect for a "Holiday" location. Although the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the property itself is BADLY in need of repairs and updates. We had planned to stay 2 nights, but the pool was not in service and the temps were over 100 degrees. The restrooms and showers were clean and functional, but had no functioning A/C. We left after one night.

4 days at this location in an RV. The campsites were fairly level and large, and the check-in was quick and easy. That is the good part. The weather was extremely hot and the pool was out of order, a large number of the showers had no hot water (there were only 3 shower stalls for the entire park), and we never saw anyone repairing the problems that seemed HUGE to me. A property in distress?

Site was very nice and clean but roads are very dusty. If a vehicle passes by driving about 6-7 mph you’ll get dust everywhere.

Our site was a pull through with plenty of room. We had a patio and a covered gazebo. Shower facilities could use some attention. No hot water in the main building for our entire stay. And in the F row bathrooms it was extremely hot and it looks like they needed to be cleaned more frequently than they were. Any supplies you need are about 20 mi away in either direction.

Very nice park. Sites are level and nice sizes. We did not get to use the pool due to mechanical and maintenance issues. Lots to do in the area. You can go north or south and find plenty of groceries or restaurants. My only negative is the dust from the gravel roads and sites. It would help immensely, if the campground would spray something on the gravel monthly to help reduce the dust.

Overall, not bad with level gravel pad. Water problems precluded use of one shower location and pool. Looks better than other campgrounds for visiting Carlsbad Caverns which are about 45 minutes away. Couldn’t pick up campground WiFi at my location. AT&T 1-2 bars.

Stayed for 4 nights. The staff at the desk said Internet access was OPEN. Never got on the Internet - 1 bar does not work. Very disappointing. Site details said "Pool Available". It was closed and GREEN in color. Very disappointed. Don't promote things that you don't deliver !

The KOA is a long way from Carlsbad. The pool was closed and green. The main showers had no hot water. The other showers were wet and too hot. Other than that it was a nice place. The staff was friendly and honest.

First, the positives: to Kat in the office, thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality displayed during check in. You made the stay very nice. We appreciate you! The overall campground is pretty clean and has nice large open spots for an RV stay. The dog park was enclosed with a fence and the playground was fun for the kids. Overall a nice, quiet campground. Additionally, when I called to let them know we were coming in early we were allowed to park in the overflow area until our site opened up. On the cons, the drinking was disgusting. So, plan accordingly if you come out. The location is much further than expected from the Caverns(although I should have looked at this closer in my planning) about an hour away. The pool was not open and did not plan to open until after Memorial Day although it was already super hot out.

Quiet, it is quiet at night and I like it. Standard rock pull through with 50amp, water & sewer. Shade tree at my site. Cable is available as is WiFi at no charge. Pool, kitchen and club house. I was greeted kindly with a smile and a good attitude. If we are back this way I'd definitely stay again.
