The rec center and facilities were a wonderful feature, open 24 hours. The pool was a perfect spot to cool off. All facilities were clean throughout our stay.

The folks working there, particularly the manager were amazing. My AC failed and they let me move to an air conditioned cabin at the last minute. I really appreciate the accommodations.

I rented a single room cabin for a late night arrival while traveling through the area. I was not aware that the bed would not have any sheets or blankets, and was fairly uncomfortable as well. Miserable nights sleep. Showers / restroom could use some cleaning and updating.

Staff was only onsite from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for our entire stay (2 nights, 3 days). We were informed that the pool, food options, and camp store were only available during office hours. We were also told the pool was closed because the chemical levels could not be properly balanced. This was disappointing, as these amenities were a factor in choosing this KOA

I stayed in the 4-person cabins after a long days drive from the Arlington TX KOA. The team was courteous and professional dealing with questions and local knowledge. The kitchens were great and dinner "hit the spot" after a full day of driving. 5/5 will return with family

It's outside of town about 15 miles and while it's clean and we had everything we needed, it's not as well maintained as other KOAs we've stayed at. It advertises itself as the #1 KOA in New Mexico; we found that hard to believe. There are many other RV parks in town to choose from.

Fun little cabin stay. The cabin could use some minor repairs but overall, a great stay, friendly staff and good location. Peaceful and quiet. Will stay again if we get the chance.

The Bat Cabin was beautiful, clean and well-suited for our family vacation! We were greeted by friendly staff, and they informed us about all the amenities at the campsite. The campsite is close to plenty of options for a day trip. There were a few items in the cabin that needed to be fixed, such as the bathroom door lock and the lightpost over the charcoal grill.

Comparing to other koas we have stayed at. I feel the Carlsbad location was really dirty from the bathrooms to the cabins.

Good: large pull through sites. well working electricity and sever, good dog park, decent shop. Not good: no WiFi signal, no signal on TV in cabin, water left white marks on the dishes, not much tress and shadow, ugly sever smell all around campsite, swimming pool closed.

The cabin we stayed in was nice. However, the bathrooms were not very clean, the place to wash dishes was dirty, the grounds had trash all around them, and a swing at the playground was broken. I thought KOA campgrounds were supposed to be neat and clean. Also there were no water spikets anywhere to get clean drinking water and no info on the website saying drinking water was unavailable.

We booked a cabin with beds in it, and we were definitely left wishing we had just booked a motel in town with an attached bathroom and better beds for a similar or cheaper price. I arrived late. Neither the outside or inside lights were on, making it very difficult to see and possibly trip on rocks on pathway. Lights would be very helpful.

I stayed in Poni cabin. It had flies when I arrived because the window was broken. The maintenance man was able to push it back together, but it wouldn’t lock. The electrical outlets are not working. The heating unit smells like it has an extremely old filter in it. I turned it off. The floodlights from the front entrance shine directly into the window. I had to hang towels over the thin curtai

We were disappointed. The men’s bathroom appeared not to be clean. The faucets did not work except for one. No paper towels. No screen on the back window of our cabin. Fan rattled making it hard to sleep. The door was squeaky. A lock on the back window was broken. What bothered us the most was being told onour last night of the high levels of calcium in the water which could harms our dog

We stayed in a cabin & met friends that had an rv. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the restroom was closed for cleaning when we checked out. We would definitely recommend.

We spent nine days with you. Due to a family emergency we asked if we left away early if we could get a refund and were told NO. Most of staff were friendly Recreation room is a great idea, but things were broke or missing parts.Few washing machines work.Water in bathroom didn't work at times.Overall we enjoyed our time,just needs alot of things fixed.If we return probably won't book ahead. .

My wife & I travel every year in August and stop for a few nights at the Carlsbad KOA. We stay in the cottage and bring our two dogs which is pet friendly. They have a 2 sectioned tiny dog enclosure for the dogs to take care of business. We got to enjoy the pool! And yes it was open and clean. It is small 3-5 foot deep but good with a few lawn chairs to sit out in. It is a desert KOA, quiet & nice

The campsite was clean and well laid out. There was a great entertainment space for children. The cabin was perfect for our needs and was well stocked. The reasoning for the 3 star is due to the pool being closed. There was no information on the website to indicate the pool closure. The main reason we chose to camp at the KOA was for the pool convenience.

Amazing sunrises & sunsets from the campsite. We stayed in Yucca cabin. Upon checking into the cabin, there were about 20 flies inside flying around. We spent time killing most of them. It appeared they were coming in somewhere, even with the door closed. When we swatted a fly on the bedspread a big puff of dust came up! We enjoyed the swing on the porch & campfires in the pit outside.

The staff were nice BUT the pool was down and the rest of the campgrounds amenities were not usable for most of the stay as it was not maintained. We rented 5 cabins, all of them had grass not mowed and all had issues, from not locking doors to getting locked inside. TV not working and curtains too short and more. No ice for most days in the store which lead to a 30 minutes drive to town. Unhappy

Cabin stay overnight. This KOA is fine, been to much better though this works in a pinch. Check in woman was friendly and informative, check out young gal was a bit too busy on her phone to see I was there :(

We had a wonderful stay at the KOA. It was clean and customer service was great! The beds were comfortable. We loved the location. We had a late check in and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Customer service was great as well! It was affordable for my family. I would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Large rec room, lots to do inside, with microwave, open 24hrs Office open later than any other KOA we've stayed at Very friendly and helpful staff Cons: Rec room had an open ceiling leak with buckets catching water Pool was out of order. In June. WiFi didn't reach our cabin Cabin didn't have TV We couldn't get the Rec Room TV to work The dog off leash area was lack luster

I've stayed here over a decade ago and loved it. This time I still enjoyed it but I will say the place is in need of a lot work, it really is showing its age. We stayed in a Deluxe Cabin that says it sleeps 6 but the kitchen only had 2 forks so that didnt work for my group. The cable never worked on the TV and the WIFI was terrible in the evenings. Things were clean and the staff was nice.

Camp grounds do not match the pictures online. It was very run down. Bathroom and cabin was clean and comfortable.

The pool was out of service and there was no communication before our stay about it so when we arrived due to their cancelation policy we would be out a significant amount. Over all it was an ok stay but the rec area was wattered the entire time making the grass a mud pit and one bathroom had no hot water. Facilities were clean and staff was polite though.

Overall, was a positive stay but there were 3 issues. No hot water for showers due to a boiler failure which was unable to be fixed during our stay. The men’s toilet was clogged. It was fairly cool at night and we were unable to adjust the cabin’s air conditioning.

First, the positives: to Kat in the office, thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality displayed during check in. You made the stay very nice. We appreciate you! The overall campground is pretty clean and has nice large open spots for an RV stay. The dog park was enclosed with a fence and the playground was fun for the kids. Overall a nice, quiet campground. Additionally, when I called to let them know we were coming in early we were allowed to park in the overflow area until our site opened up. On the cons, the drinking was disgusting. So, plan accordingly if you come out. The location is much further than expected from the Caverns(although I should have looked at this closer in my planning) about an hour away. The pool was not open and did not plan to open until after Memorial Day although it was already super hot out.

Quiet, it is quiet at night and I like it. Standard rock pull through with 50amp, water & sewer. Shade tree at my site. Cable is available as is WiFi at no charge. Pool, kitchen and club house. I was greeted kindly with a smile and a good attitude. If we are back this way I'd definitely stay again.
