I was walking my dog on leash to the dog park. A pit bull burst under the hole in the fence attacking me and my dog. This was an employee dog. I had to go to the ER after taking my dog to the vet. All we got was our refund. And couldn't get the points back.

Everyone was very gracious and welcoming to this campground. Laundry and bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. Campground was very quiet and pleasant. Thanks for a great visit!

Dusty and dead grass. No hard surfaces to drive or park on. Parking was gravel, but pretty level. Great folks and they do the best they can with what they have. Our spot was heavily littered with cigarette butts, which we picked up.

Nice camping spots. Had a sewer issue when I was there so I could not use the shower but they did have one bathroom available.

The bathrooms were disgusting! Dirty sinks, toilets & skanky smelling showers! Quiet time is after 10pm & I was warned about no barking dogs. Apparently that only applies to guests as one of the staff who live there have 2 dogs that bark constantly at everything & after 10pm as well. I won’t go back.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean though unavailable our last night. We were disappointed to learn the pool was closed until May.

The personnel are very nice but my registration was less than amicable. I asked for a site with any kind of shade and not to be placed near a road. I received neither. Evidently, the limited shade is reserved for big RVs. The flimsy excuse for my space being right by a road is as it was “not a frequented road”. Amenities were clean but in need of improvements.

Friendly staff, spacious sites, good laundry. Staff didn’t care that the gate latches didn’t hold the gates closed. No poop bags available in dispensers.

RV park was run down. Not the quality expected for a Holiday. Dog park never had poop bags. We have our own bags. Goat heads and sticker weeds that hurt our dogs feet. Sites were level and the office workers were nice.

Comparing to other koas we have stayed at. I feel the Carlsbad location was really dirty from the bathrooms to the cabins.

Had a good time. There were some teen boys who were causing issues after quiet hours. The site was good. The trash dumpsters were full and there were bags and trash around the dumpsters. But we had a good time.

Stayed 2 nights. Quick check in and easy access to site. Loved the swing and firepit and game room. The landscape around the registration building was fun! Appreciated the bathroom access in the middle of the park. Main bathroom could use an update.

Stayed 3 nights in TV-3 tent spot - the facilities there need some annual maintenance; paint and wood protection. The water facet dripped a little and had significant calcium buildup on the treads - could not completely hookup a hose, so it too leaked. The section next to ours, the light fixture bleeds light over the fence - I had to ask them to turn off the light after 10pm - rework the lights.

Good: large pull through sites. well working electricity and sever, good dog park, decent shop. Not good: no WiFi signal, no signal on TV in cabin, water left white marks on the dishes, not much tress and shadow, ugly sever smell all around campsite, swimming pool closed.

The people who welcomed us were nice. The pool does not work. Even though it was 103 one day. The big sign on the road says Pool and their advertising says pool. Not much to do there. Laundry room was very clean. We were there to see the Carlsbad Caverns about half hour away. Roswell was an hour away. So it was in a good spot for that.

Location was really nice for visiting nearby parks and attractions. The owners care for their customers, providing many services and keep the grounds in excellent condition. We managed to track a number of goatheads into our RV which is painful when getting about the RV barefoot. We understand the problem but believe treatment of the grass areas would help. Nice stay in a desert climate!

Major plumbing issues. The sewage backed up into the bathroom. The next day the sewage was gone, but no one had mopped up the floor. They watered my tent area so heavily that I really wasn’t able to use that area. I almost fell in the slippery mud. I told the person at the office, but they just said sorry.

The stay was fine. However this park has sure deteriorated over the years care wise. Really deteriorated! it was 100+° and the pool was closed because it wasn't over 60° at night? The staff was very friendly However.

The cabin we stayed in was nice. However, the bathrooms were not very clean, the place to wash dishes was dirty, the grounds had trash all around them, and a swing at the playground was broken. I thought KOA campgrounds were supposed to be neat and clean. Also there were no water spikets anywhere to get clean drinking water and no info on the website saying drinking water was unavailable.

Asked to be placed away from other campers, was placed right next to another camper even though there were plenty empty spaces. In fact a van was placed all by themselves after we set up. Bathrooms were not clean, fish pond was not clean, trash cans in game room was over flowing. Old washing machines sitting outside, saw trash around cabins, and VERY STONG sewage smell was blowing into campground.

We appreciated the clean restrooms, cool rec room in the heat. The property felt run down. The stagnant pond up front gave off a very bad vibe. The property just didn't feel cared for. The young gal that checked us in had VERY poor people skills and did a terrible job of welcoming us. Our family we were camping with said the same thing.

First, the positives: to Kat in the office, thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality displayed during check in. You made the stay very nice. We appreciate you! The overall campground is pretty clean and has nice large open spots for an RV stay. The dog park was enclosed with a fence and the playground was fun for the kids. Overall a nice, quiet campground. Additionally, when I called to let them know we were coming in early we were allowed to park in the overflow area until our site opened up. On the cons, the drinking was disgusting. So, plan accordingly if you come out. The location is much further than expected from the Caverns(although I should have looked at this closer in my planning) about an hour away. The pool was not open and did not plan to open until after Memorial Day although it was already super hot out.

Quiet, it is quiet at night and I like it. Standard rock pull through with 50amp, water & sewer. Shade tree at my site. Cable is available as is WiFi at no charge. Pool, kitchen and club house. I was greeted kindly with a smile and a good attitude. If we are back this way I'd definitely stay again.
