We had a great time and I would’ve given a perfect rating. If the Pool had been functional, this is the second KOA we’ve been to where the pool wasn’t usable which is pretty hard on a couple seven-year-olds looking forward to the pool after a long day of travel. ����

The park is very spacious and clean, with friendly Staff who were super helpful. Overall, my family and I had a positive experience. Campers should be aware of the distances: the nearest town is 30 minutes away in either direction, Sitting Bull Falls is 45 minutes away, Carlsbad Caverns is 1 hour away, and Guadalupe Peak is approximately 1.5 hours away.

I give it a 2 because the staff was the only bright spot for the site. Everything on the site was broke. Pool, volleyball court, basketball court, wallyball, hot water in main area and the general shape was not very good. The staff was pleasant and helpful when I checked in but for what is being charged to the customer I’d expect a better camp ground.

The campground was nice, had shaded spots and lots of room. There was no hot water in the main building for showers, so there were only three showers for the entire campground. Not a huge deal, but an inconvenience. Otherwise, the laundry facilities were great, rec room had a ton of stuff to keep the whole family occupied, and the store was well stocked.

Very nice. Rachel was very helpful as we settled in. Great staff. The bathrooms were good also. Though I know some complained, I thought the bathrooms were efficient.

For an overnight site it was ok at best. There were only three showers for the whole park and they were poor. No air conditioning in 100* weather. No pool! And according to others who stayed the pool has been out of order for more than a year. Really nice reception people but they were deceptive about the pool. They said parts were in order. Too far from town to put up with deficits.

We had hopes to be able to use the pool during our stay as the weather was extremely hot. The pool was not open and it was in terrible conditions (green)

Very disappointing. It would have been nice to have known the pool was still closed. The showers didn't have hot water in the main building, sinks didn't drain. Bathrooms aren't vented, very hot. Other than these items, the grounds are very well kept, the laundry area was very clean. Thanks.

Pool Closed, No hot water in the bathrooms, Koi pond was just dirty water. We booked here because it said there was a pool. It would have been nice to be notified it would not be open.

Campsites were spacious and level. We were disappointed that the pool was not open (and looked like it had not been in working order for a VERY long time). Front desk staff were friendly. Location was just okay. Still quite a ways from Carlsbad Caverns, which is what I assume most visitors would be coming to see.

Quiet, pleasant campground. Cheerful office staff. Quick check-in. Level sites. Cable TV was so grainy it was not watchable. Other campers confirmed theirs was the same. Pool closed even though our dates were within the advertised open time. Office staff were pleasant and helpful.

Everything was great except the pool was not available. I had 2 kids who were looking forward to swimming and with the temps over 100° it was a real let down.

Tent spots was very large and close to the bathroom, however was infested with ants. Bathrooms also had a clogged sink, empty soap/paper towels dispensers, and lacked hot water for showers

This is our second time staying at this KOA. Both times it was clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. If we’re in the area again, we’ll be staying here.

The pool was out of service and there was no communication before our stay about it so when we arrived due to their cancelation policy we would be out a significant amount. Over all it was an ok stay but the rec area was wattered the entire time making the grass a mud pit and one bathroom had no hot water. Facilities were clean and staff was polite though.

No hot water in handicap showers. Staff extremely nice, food great for dinner brisket cooked perfect, 2 dog runs 1 had huge ants but shady. Grounds kept up very nicely beautiful tables great stay

The WORST KOA I've ever stayed in. FALSELY advertised there was a pool....It was closed, dark green with algie. It looks like it's been that way for years. FALSLEY advertised free Wi-Fi. Never more than one bar signal... Useless. Paid for a patio side. BBQ wouldnt light, couldnt use the wood swing unless I wanted splinters. I feel sorry for the staff who were very nice. This should NOT be a KOA.

The POOL IS BROKEN and has been for quite some time. The upper management has no plans to fix it. It is a safety hazard for bugs. Its green and if someone falls in it you would never find them. We chose ithe park because it advertised a pool. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. The staff were very apologetic and gracious. They'd like it fixed, too. It was 100°. Hot hot hot pool please!

Had been there before and loved it, that place was the reason I actually became a member but this time lots to be desired really disappointed that no hot water in the showers and had only 3 showers for the whole camp, also the pool was not usable was so looking forward ot it

Stayed 4 nights during Holiday weekend. Staff was awesome, Nancy and Rian went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. The pool was not working so we took the kid to the lake for some swimming and fishing. Will definitely stay again.

We had a positive and enjoyable stay. We were long term due to being stranded with a vehicle repair. The staff was always absolutely cheerful and caring. Our stay was greatly improved due to the conveniences of onsite propane, a store, a diner, laundromat, rec room, and showers. Even our dog was spoiled, the K9 areas were well kept. The staff was professional, personable, and enthusiastic.

The park itself was OK. Friendly staff and clean. However, WIFI is a key reason I stay in RV parks and the WIFI here was terrible. The signal was very weak and inaccessible half the time, even though I was fairly close to the office. The grass inbetween the spaces was dying and made the park look low quality.

No hot water first day of camping..okay fine. Next morning NO water at all on camp ground..packed up early and left. Although on surface things looked fine we noticed pool was disguising. I booked with KOA b/c of known for safety, cleanliness but totally disappointed. No emergency number provided at campground to report no water, no recycling and no proper garbage bins, community sink filthy.

The tent area with walls and a partial cover was great. Having two walls, helped cut back on the wind messing with the tent. It was real windy which helped keep things cool, but gave the other tent goers (out in the field) a rougher time. No hot water in the main women’s bathroom, but they provided an alternative hot shower location by the kids playground.

Enjoyed our stay. Members of Carlsbad KOA very friendly and helpful. Do suggest. Better WiFi. Also. Told no fires if winds are 20 mph or higher. Campers have no way of knowing. Maybe some type of warning notice.

First, it’s called Carlsbad KOA, but it’s 16 miles north of Carlsbad in the middle of nowhere. The people were great, as usual. The food we ordered from their cafe was pretty good. The pool looked like a swamp. Needless to say it was not open. The pond was the same way.

The only issues were the overgrowth of weeds and the pool not being open. I wish there was a proper dump station so I could clean out my tanks. Everything else was great.

We stayed in the sheltered tent area, thank goodness because there were high winds. Our main issue was all of the tent camping areas are adjacent to the road in and out of the campgrounds. So at night all of the vehicles passed by our tent. Then in the morning (5:45 am) there was a parade of at least 6 pick up trucks driving by to leave, not to mention the large RVs a bit later. Nice Rec building.

First, the positives: to Kat in the office, thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality displayed during check in. You made the stay very nice. We appreciate you! The overall campground is pretty clean and has nice large open spots for an RV stay. The dog park was enclosed with a fence and the playground was fun for the kids. Overall a nice, quiet campground. Additionally, when I called to let them know we were coming in early we were allowed to park in the overflow area until our site opened up. On the cons, the drinking was disgusting. So, plan accordingly if you come out. The location is much further than expected from the Caverns(although I should have looked at this closer in my planning) about an hour away. The pool was not open and did not plan to open until after Memorial Day although it was already super hot out.

Quiet, it is quiet at night and I like it. Standard rock pull through with 50amp, water & sewer. Shade tree at my site. Cable is available as is WiFi at no charge. Pool, kitchen and club house. I was greeted kindly with a smile and a good attitude. If we are back this way I'd definitely stay again.
