We spent nine days with you. Due to a family emergency we asked if we left away early if we could get a refund and were told NO. Most of staff were friendly Recreation room is a great idea, but things were broke or missing parts.Few washing machines work.Water in bathroom didn't work at times.Overall we enjoyed our time,just needs alot of things fixed.If we return probably won't book ahead. .

Bathrooms were often broke and not working. Everytime I showered the water would stop working. They were doing construction during my stay and they had an excavator bucket less than a foot from my camper and about 10 men in my campsite working getting dirt all over all over my stuff. Also DO NOT DRINK THE WATER literally burnt my mouth from the chemical taste.

While the campground is located outside of Carlsbad, that is not an issue as the roads are easily accessible and well marked. What was a drawback was water. Not only was is poor quality water, it was turned off each of the three days we were there without prior warning. It actually clogged my hot water line. Also staff stated this was a recurring theme. Also, the sewer was backed up and not cleare

The water kept going off and on. When I was in the shower with shampoo in my hair it went off. Dog kept getting stickers in her paws.

The park was gorgeous The common area was very dirty and laundry room was a disaster No cleaning done in quite some time and all washers broken Need a new cleaning crew Hostess very welcoming but said she had no housekeeping crew Need to clean and repair the common area

CLEAN. Loved how clean everything is. Well stocked with FOOD . Personable management. They went above snd beyond for us. We felt safe.. A dog lovers place. The dog pen is very good. Friendly RESPECTFUL STAFF. Will be back!

We stayed three nights passing through Carlsbad. During our stay the water turned off at least 10 times while we were at the camper. Some in the middle of our showers. I also had to stop by the office and ask for someone to mow the patch of grass in front of our camper. It was about a foot tall. There was also some guy on a dark colored golf cart that would race around the place throwing up dust.

Entire grounds were in disrepair. Water is not consumable for humans or pets. Dog areas were full of poo. Bathrooms don’t appear to have been cleaned in a very long time. Many sites had old dilapidated picnic tables cover in bird poo. We’ve been KOA members for decades and this one doesn’t even come close to their standards and status should be revoked.

It was a very nice park. Nice sites. Big enough for our 44 foot 5th wheel and truck. Nice laundry room. Good puppy park. Only complaints were the very weak WiFi and the on and off water pressure.

Friendly staff, nice amenities. Communication of water pressure issues were not alerted to guests. The bathhouses were unusable due to water pressure and one bathroom had clogged toilet left unrepaired.

We liked the larger Rv sites compared to most KOA. It was very dusty and grass needed clipping but staff was friendly and glad to see that some new repairs were being done.

We stayed 2 nights in a tent with our motorcycle. We didn’t have time to use the pool or giant chess like we wanted to but love the store and all the amenities that are offered if you have time for them. The showers were perfect. A very well taken care of, quiet, clean camp ground!

The only reason for not giving a higher rating was we battled awful water pressure. Our water would just shut off mid shower. When we checked out I told them about the problem and they said they knew and they were waiting on a part, but did not warn us about it at all when we checked in. We thought it was our water filter and changed that, but had we been warned, it would have been helpful.

Everything was just fine. The park could use a good trim to get the weeds cleaned up around the cabins. Otherwise we always enjoy our stay. Better office hours are nice for late arrivals! Can’t wait to use the dinner menu next Timor, seems very helpful!

The campground overall is average. The pool was cloudy so we did not use for health concerns. We had multiple issues with the water going out. When this was reported to the office, the reply was "our water pump is slowly dying, we have to wait for city approval to fix, sorry, have a nice day." Another employee reported this issue has been ongoing for several months. Very disappointing stay.

Its a bit further out of town but nicely laid out. Sites are nicely spaced....strange no picnic tables but we had a deluxe site so no worries. Main issues were weak wifi, grill didnt work, and water went off 1-3 times per day but all this at premium prices

Unfortunately, many of the amenities we paid for were severely lacking or non existent altogether. The website stated there was a restaurant on site open until 9pm, we were informed that it closed at 7:00 p.m. and only open one day of our stay. The wifi did not work our entire stay. The water pressure would cut out on you completely mid shower. There was also a strong sewer smell throughout.

The staff was very nice went above and beyond for us I had bbq one day during our stay and gave them a plate to show how we love the place and warm gratitude. Definitely will be returning back and invite more friends also as we love camping and traveling. Thanks again

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The camp grounds are kept clean. The pool could use some attention but it was great for what it was (escape from desert heat). We loved this place and will be back!

Not up to KOA standards. Dirty bathrooms with repeated soiled toilets, litter round the nasty garbage dumpsters and potholes in the road at the entrance. Very disappointed as one expects a certain standard at KOA. To claim number one KOA facility in New Mexico is patently false.....

Friendly staff, large roomy sites, refreshing pool! Only issues we had were, ..no cable at ( was it just our site? Don't know) our site. The water had a bad taste so chose bottled water for our stay. Will stay here again even if all stayed the same.

That was my first stay at a KOA. It was amazing. The campgrounds had great amenities. Pool, food, nice accommodations. The staff were lovely. I will definitely stay again.

My wife & I travel every year in August and stop for a few nights at the Carlsbad KOA. We stay in the cottage and bring our two dogs which is pet friendly. They have a 2 sectioned tiny dog enclosure for the dogs to take care of business. We got to enjoy the pool! And yes it was open and clean. It is small 3-5 foot deep but good with a few lawn chairs to sit out in. It is a desert KOA, quiet & nice

All the people that work there are so nice…….exceptional nice! That’s great for an entire team in the service industry to be exceptional nice. The dog park could use some TLC, but the office, laundry and bathrooms are very clean. Thank you!

Disappointed after years of staying there the deluxe site had dog poop awaiting us. The weeds had grown in the bricking. It was as if it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. We still will stay but not at the patio site as it is not as nice as the regular site. The staff at the desk is vey kind and professional. She had been there for a while and is quite helpful.

First, the positives: to Kat in the office, thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality displayed during check in. You made the stay very nice. We appreciate you! The overall campground is pretty clean and has nice large open spots for an RV stay. The dog park was enclosed with a fence and the playground was fun for the kids. Overall a nice, quiet campground. Additionally, when I called to let them know we were coming in early we were allowed to park in the overflow area until our site opened up. On the cons, the drinking was disgusting. So, plan accordingly if you come out. The location is much further than expected from the Caverns(although I should have looked at this closer in my planning) about an hour away. The pool was not open and did not plan to open until after Memorial Day although it was already super hot out.

Quiet, it is quiet at night and I like it. Standard rock pull through with 50amp, water & sewer. Shade tree at my site. Cable is available as is WiFi at no charge. Pool, kitchen and club house. I was greeted kindly with a smile and a good attitude. If we are back this way I'd definitely stay again.
