This was our first KOA stay. Even though we only stayed one night, we were very impressed with the Buffalo KOA. It was meticulously maintained, and it was a great experience overall. We will definitely be back.

First thing, I’m not a big fan of campgrounds. However, I needed a place to stay for a night. I arrived after hours and my registration paperwork was not posted on the bulletin board. So I had to call management and figure out which site was mine. After setting up, the dogs started barking. There was about 9 or 10 of them around my site. Luckily, it stopped after an hour. Then again at 6:30 am.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Yes, we forgot to post your map, but we like to think we went above and beyond to correct the mistake. If we had known about the dogs, we would have addressed it. 9 or 10 dogs...now that would be something. I suggest next time you boon dock in the Big Horn Mountains. Lots of camping there.

The typical clean campground you get from a KOA. It’s a nice campground that has a stream running through it and good for fishing. The historic town of Buffalo is an about a mile away.

The park is very well laid out. The sites are spacious and there is considerable space between each. The grounds are maintained nicely. Staff were always friendly and polite. Would highly recommend this KOA. A side note, the fishing was great a well. Thanks Buffalo KOA

This an amazing RV Resort. Beautiful setting, clean, well maintained and friendly staff. I highly recommend this location, especially for an extended stay. Didn't want to leave.

When we arrived we were greeted by Morgan.. she was very friendly and was professional about explaining the camp and local sights. The campground is very clean and in a beautiful setting. We have traveled to Buffalo 5 times and will continue to stay at this quality KOA.

This is the nicest KOA we have ever stayed at. The facility is very clean with grass at each level spot. The creek is a huge bonus. Wish we had been here in the summer as the creek looks like a wonderful place to play with the family.

This was our first time staying at a KOA, and it was fantastic! We stayed in one of the cabins, which was clean and roomy enough. The customer service was excellent, bathrooms and showers were clean, and we took advantage of the huge chess game by the playground. We will stay here again!

After a very long road trip, we splurged on an extra night only a few hours from our home in Cody, WY. We stayed in site #55 which had a very nice, large FENCED patio and yard area. Perfect for us and our dogs! Love Buffalo, Wyoming!!

The campground s beautiful in a beautiful town! Also the restrooms & laundry were spotlessly clean & nice. We met one of the owners & two of their daughters… all were so kind, helpful & nice to us. We’d go back to stay there if we go through the area in our future.

I needed a good rest after 2 very long driving days. I stayed here for 3 nights. Peaceful atmosphere, I slept well. I was able to get a few groceries & also to drive to Yoders Country Market for delicious jams. I left on Sat morning feeling very refreshed & ready to go over the mountains to Cody.

Very nice campground. Long term campers need to be reminded to keep their very big German Shepard's on leash!! Could have been a disaster with my three dogs who would have been unable to defend themselves from those dogs!! Would have been a five star rating otherwise.

We are so sorry you experienced this terrifying moment! We do ask everyone to leash their dogs. It requires owners to be good citizens every time they go out even if their dogs have good recall.

Stayed here 2 nights on our way across country. Gave us time to rest, clean and do laundry. Paid for more expensive creek side spot with patio, BBQ and fire pit. Would have enjoyed it more if the weather had been better (cold, windy and rainy). It was nice to watch the creek through my windows. BBQ was clean and had propane. Restrooms, showers and laundry were very clean. Staff were friendly.

We’ve got us a cozy basic cabin with: fridge, tv, bed and two lovely chairs. Friendly staff and lots of beautiful trees and birds. We had friends who came over for a few hours and had dinner at the Thai restaurant that was good food. The only negative point is the place to wash your dishes didn’t work maybe the water wasn’t turn on yet?

The staff was excellent, There was an open upgraded site so they gave it to us for the night. This is not your typical KOA there is a large streams and a small stream running through the resort. It is well thought out with spacious sites in the back area on the water. plenty of patio sites with fire pit, chairs, dog pens and BBQ pits. We really loved the layout. We will be back

This location is wonderful. Easy on/off the interstate. We stopped for a night during the ‘off season' but are still pleased with the service and accommodations. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are clean. You can take a relaxing walk along the water and even better, if you have pets, there are sites with personal dog pens (there is also a fenced dog park). We will definitely stay here again in the future.
