The town of Buffalo is charming, people are friendly and there are several good/fun places to eat. We experienced tow vehicle mechanical problems just after checking in. Paul and his family not only were able to help accommodate us with an extended stay on their most busy and impacted weekend of the season (Longmire Days), they helped with finding a mechanic, grocery shopping and dinning places.

The Peoples family are simply the best! Always have their campers best interests in mind. One of the finest KOA’s we’ve stayed at.

Very large rig friendly. Excellent service and park is very well maintained. Easy access from Interstate, Stayed in newer section near the lake. Wide spaces with nice grass and patio. 5 STARS!!

We’ve stayed here many times - this visit was a bit disappointing. We were put next to a row of “long term” campers, the nearest one having 7 (seven!) dogs, only one was ever leashed and one occasion saw one of the animals treated so roughly many would have considered it animal abuse. Sometimes your satisfaction with a KOA is more about your neighbors than the campground itself. July 2025 #1

Thank you for making us aware of the guest mistreating their animals. They are now no longer staying on our campground. I'd like to clarify the campers you were near are only staying 60-90 days, so I wouldn't consider that necessarily "long term" and they are really nice, considerate people.

We enjoyed our stay at the Buffalo KOA. The grounds were very neat and tidy. The employees were very friendly, especially Coy. This was probably our most affordable KOA gift shop in our whole 3 week vacation. They weren’t trying to gouge us. They even had otter pops for only 25 cents. It was great. The kids loved playing at the creek. Nice campsites. We’ll be back.

Stayed in a camping cabin. The air conditioner was way too small for the cabin, & the temperature was barely tolerable through the night! The family in the next cabin got a refund & left! Air conditioners need to be upgraded

Thanks for letting us know. We are not always aware when the units fail, as they often stop performing well instead of just outright failing. The unit cooled the cabin wonderfully for several years. Had you called us and let us know, we could have quickly swapped the unit out.

Needed an overnight stop and this was perfect site lg enough we didn’t even have to unhook our car. Laundry facility was very nice and the office well stocked with essential items. Definitely would stop again.

We were by the road lots of traffic. Wi-Fi was poor and although the employees were friendly didn’t really help with Wi-Fi.

Sorry for your experience on the wifi. The staff should have directed you to the Buffalo KOA 2G SSID which would have given you the proper experience. We have updated the staff so they can help the next guest appropriately.

Absolutely the best campground we’ve stayed at. We rented one of the cabins and some of our party had an rv site. Perfect setting, amazing amenities and customer service top notch! We had a troublesome cabin neighbor and they took care of it right away.

We stayed in a camping kabin. This campground is exceptional! I have never been in a cleaner shower facility, bathroom, and laundrymat! Fantastic place! We will be back!

The stay was awesome. Just that we were early birds and didn’t have hot water to shower at 6:00 AM

Thanks for the insight. We recently replaced our water heater with (3) tankless heaters. Turns out the recirculation pump wasn't working, thus the hot water took time to get to you. It's now resolved, hope to see you again soon.

Great location, nice camp site and RV parking. First time here, very pleased and we will stay again. Camp staff stays in touch, messages an informative messages. Very nice gift shop with Wyoming goods, as well as yummy Ice-cream to buy for a sweet treat. I was impressed with the camp sites next to a creek and cement patio slabs and a firepit to enjoy. I did notice the private dog pens at a few sites that are avialable for those who have dogs. Nice swimming pool. Very clean and well kept campground. ~

We enjoyed our one-night stay here in July! The entire property is clean and well cared for. Hook ups at the sites are in good condition, decent amount of space between sites with grass and picnic tables. Very friendly staff at check in. We will stay again when traveling through the area. Highly recommend!

Very friendly service, beautifully maintained, many spaces with concrete pads, great outdoor furniture, bbq's, fire pits and lots of grass and trees😊 Great place for dogs too! Would definitely stay here again!
