Best KOA I have ever visited! I have visited many KOAs all over the US and I can honestly say "They are not all created equal". This one is by far the expectation to the rule. It is well kept. Family is very nice and friendly. The staff is always out working on keeping the resort clean and manicured. Laundry and baths/showers where very neat and clean. I will definitely recommend.

The facility was clean and inviting. Paul was able to accommodate my special needs daughter in a cabin near the showers. I would highly recommend this KOA facility.

The Buffao KOA was very nice. Sites had trees and grass, with a nearby creek. The restrooms & showers were clean. Staff was friendly and efficient.

The campground was very nice, level sites, clean. Was just an overnight for us but close to interstate but quiet. Would stay here again and recommend to others

It was a beautiful campground! Everything was EXCELLENT!!!! It was super clean, and the staff was very attentive! We enjoyed it! WISH WE COULD’VE STAYED LONGER!

Site was gravel and unlevel. Had a mud hole that had water in it when we arrived. Before checkout time the area around the electrical box was being mowed and our electrical cable got unplugged.

Normally, this KOA should have received a 5-star rating; however, the rv site across from us had 3 vehicles parked and the site to our left had 2 vehicles. These vehicles left a very narrow opening for us to maneuver a large rig out of a narrow site. Management was lax in enforcing their own parking rules and required action on my part to get one to move their truck early in the morning.

We had a super short stay on August 2, 2025. Only four spots were available and self check in later in the evening worked well. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Once I lay my head on my pillow I was asleep!! I was up early and back on the road.

This is a really nice campground, with friendly staff and a beautiful setting. The only problem is not with the facility itself, but with some of the people camping here who walk through occupied sites, let their kids ride bikes through occupied sites, and are generally just rude. Most all of these had Wyoming license plated vehicles, and is not what I would expect from residents of this state.

Thanks for the feedback on the park. We still occasionally get folks unfamiliar with RV campground etiquette. Give us a call and we can help educate them. Folks in Wyoming, for the most part, are very campground-friendly — so don’t let this single experience give you the wrong impression.

Deluxe Patio sites near the creek are great! Plenty of room with a Solo Fire Pit..... Furniture..... Weber Grill. Nice views and close to town and scenic drives. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was very accomodating when I asked to upgrade from a tent site to a cabin due to the heavy rains inbound. Fortunately there was one available.

Great stay! We have always avoided KOA campgrounds as we thought the campground would be loud and full of loud kids.We had a great experience! My only concern for the Buffalo KOA….the public restroom from site 78 was a .25 mile walk…not everyone uses their RV toilet for #2. The campers who are assigned sites in that area should have access to the tent camper bathrooms. 1/4 mile walk w/ IBS..ug

Way over priced

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We would rather you simply say "no thanks" at the front desk than complain about the price online afterward. You arrived after 6pm with no reservation and got one of the last sites in Buffalo due to Sturgis and the rodeo. Maybe check the price before you arrive? Cell service is available across WY.

Great location, nice camp site and RV parking. First time here, very pleased and we will stay again. Camp staff stays in touch, messages an informative messages. Very nice gift shop with Wyoming goods, as well as yummy Ice-cream to buy for a sweet treat. I was impressed with the camp sites next to a creek and cement patio slabs and a firepit to enjoy. I did notice the private dog pens at a few sites that are avialable for those who have dogs. Nice swimming pool. Very clean and well kept campground. ~

We enjoyed our one-night stay here in July! The entire property is clean and well cared for. Hook ups at the sites are in good condition, decent amount of space between sites with grass and picnic tables. Very friendly staff at check in. We will stay again when traveling through the area. Highly recommend!

Very friendly service, beautifully maintained, many spaces with concrete pads, great outdoor furniture, bbq's, fire pits and lots of grass and trees😊 Great place for dogs too! Would definitely stay here again!
