Our cabin was super cute, clean, and had many extras we weren't expecting. Campground was peaceful and quiet in September. Only negative about the entire weekend was we were able to smell sewage frequently from our porch while outside. No idea where the holding tank is or why it smelled so strongly.

The Kampgrounds and the Staff at Bucksport are the Best!! Always Friendly and the Kampground is immaculate! I am a repeat customer and will definitely be coming back.

Very welcoming and friendly staff! We loved the Treehouse cabin and it was just right for our family of four. The queen mattress was super comfy! The lot is spacious and located near the pool. Perfect for parents with little ones. We loved that it had its own bathroom with shower, mini kitchen, and the Keurig is stocked and ready for use. Loved using the hammock and fire pit as well.

The staff at Bucksport/Fort Knox KOA is welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the treehouse and it was such an enjoyable time. It has a large porch where we ate our dinner, played cards, and just relaxed. It was also very clean and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay at this KOA again. It was a nice experience for our family.

The owners were great! Had a failed electrical issue, and when I told David about it, he dropped what he was doing and fixed it immediately. Everything in the campground seemed clean and orderly. I showed up after hours, and they had a nice welcome bag with my name waiting for me. Thanks!

Possibly one of the nicest group of people I've come to know. My stay was nothing short of exquisite and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to come and relax. My boys loved the tree house, the pool, and the playground! Thanks again for showing us such a great time!

We stayed in the Treehouse and it was great. The included sheets and towels and many kitchen items were very helpful on our trip. As were the outdoor games. Thanks! The playground was a hit with our son, and the pictures online of the cabin and playground were current which we appreciate. There were some sewage smells in the park, but overall it was nice. We had a good stay.

My family and I just returned from a week stay. The staff and everyone we met were very friendly and accommodating, both before and during our stay. It's a great launch point for Acadia and to visit the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Ft. Knox sites. Facilities are dated but it's clear the owners are making positive improvements. I suggest you check your website offerings, no horseshoe pits. :-(

The tree house was clean and had a lot of space inside and outside and had all the utensils and linens which was so nice and convenient. We loved the accommodations however… it felt like the campground was half closed nothing was fully opened. The website was very misleading saying horseshoes and nightly entertainment which neither existed, some adult activities would be nice. No train ride eith

The campground was super nice. The staff went above your expectation to make sure your stay was comfortable. I would recommend this campground. We stayed in the glamping tent which was very comfortable and very nicely decorated.

We really loved the campground, from the welcome to the amenities, to the send off. The only issue was the internet was a bit spotty, but otherwise all was good.

Very friendly staff at check-in. We loved our stay at the treehouse, especially the newer/clean condition it was in, the seclusion, the AC, and the stock kitchen & bath amenities. It was also great having a larger sized fridge/freezer, gas grill and internet TV! A minor complaint would be the nonbreathable mattress pad, it made the beds a bit uncomfortable. we would definitely return!!

We had a fantastic time at this KOA! Staff was friendly and inviting. Gave us a care package upon arrival including a map, bottled water, and even homemade cookies! We arrived an hour after the office closed, but they were still there to greet us when we arrived. The cabin was nice, showers and bathrooms clean, plenty of amenities, and the store was thoughtfully stocked with many useful items.

On our arrival we were seen to by a very friendly young woman. She explained us everything very well. The washroom had a radio come on as I turned on the light. I really liked that. It was our first experience in a cabin and I am certain it will not be the last

This KOA is one of the best we have ever stayed at! David & his wife Marlene are wonderful People and treated us like family! We met some of their family members as well & all of them made us feel at home. One morning we had homemade pancakes, cooked by David. Blueberry or Chocolate chip. Served with homemade maple syrup that was made by a family member. The bath houses were clean & well stocked. The campsites were easy to access. Definitely a great place to camp!

They are super friendly and helpful. Go above and beyond to help. A little welcome pack was given to us as well. 1 st we received a welcome pack from a campground. Nice clean grounds and dog park.
