The people were nice and the cabins were clean and like every other cabin. The amenities were nothing like the pictures. The pool was filled with gravel, the play ground was over ran by weeds and was clearly outdated and in dire need of repair. Compared to other KOAs I stayed at this one is the most outdated so far.

Cabin was dirty. Bathhouse was dirty. We slept in the car because cabin was not very clean. We read a lot of good reviews so we're very disappointed.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They had good food and were kind enough to deliver it right to my cabin. The cabin was clean and so darling! The bathrooms were also very clean. I loved the night lights on the outside of the cabin porch doorways to help me get back in the dark. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I would love to bring my friends up with me next time.

Great location to Badlands National Park. I called in last minute to book a cabin for a night. It was extremely easy to book a cabin. Cabin (#5) was clean but No heat. Window Unit on the wall is noisy, hence I did not use it. Shared restroom/bathroom show sign of wear and tear, clearly neglected and not very clean. Tv in cabin has no CNN channel, but has Fox News which do not watch.

Thank you for making cabin #1 wheelchair accessible with a king size bed and a refridge/freezer. That was so awesome. We always say this place is Pure South Dakota with its wide open praire. The campground people are very friendly and the food is excellant. Just look around at the perfectly manicured campsites.

The cable tv line at my cabin was cut when I checked in. The staff fixed it right away. Very quiet and clean campground. My only complaint was paying almost $6.00 for a bag of ice.

It was our first KOA experience. We stayed only one night and arrived early evening. It is a sweet spot, the hosts are friendly and helpful. The restroom and showers are wonderful and clean. I wished our trip would have allowed to stay one more day so that we could enjoy and explore the camp more. One small suggestion. A platform under the outdoor dish washing sink for us shorter visitors.

You never have an issue with KOA when travelling across the country with 2 dogs!! Belvidere East/Exit 170 kampgrounds are extremely doggo-friendly. They have pet stations throughout the kampgrounds two K9 runs (big and lil doggos). They sites are extremely clean - we opted for one of their cabins and we couldn't have been happier. A+++

Store/registration closes really early.

Thank you for staying at our campground. Our store is open from 9am/7pm. Most of the reservations have shown up prior to 7pm MST and we have a late night arrival packet for after hours arrivals. We hand draw directional arrows on the map to show the best route to your site.

Stayed in a Kabin while on my way to Rapid City. Kabin was clean and nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice KOA on the prairie. I will stay here again

Staff was very friendly and the food options from the store were a great plus. The cabin was clean. The drawback was the bath house. There are drainage issues in the women's shower.

The KOA itself was fine. The staff was friendly, the cabins were clean, but the location is not great. It's in the middle of nowhere. No restaurants, no grocery stores, no activities.

Sorry for your disappointment. We are a KOA Journey, designed to be a good stopping point for the weary traveler. Located close to the expressway - but a very quiet location and have all level pull thru sites so RV's don't have to be disconnected. We serve food in our café & sell most necessities.

We stayed in a cabin on our way to Kalispell from Chicago last summer and this spring. The site is conveniently located near Interstarte 90 in South Dakota about 170 east of Rushmore. They have a great store and restaurant that delivered our meals to our cabin. Very peaceful!

Fantastic campground with amazing hosts!! We had a bad experience at a hotel the night before coming here. Robert and Lisa set us up in a really nice cabin for half the price of the hotel, and we got a million times better the experience here!! Beautiful location, tons of wildlife and just down the street from a fun tourist attraction, 1880 Town. Will be staying with them again in the fall!!

Quiet and spacious. Wifi works well. Understanding hosts that let me check out early due to the overwhelming heat (105 degrees). Please fix the latch on the door of Cabin 4 (I believe) as the wind blows it open. Without a screen door, it is easy for animals to get out. Bring anything you need. Little amenities close by.

The grounds were clean and lovely. The sunset over the pond was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was very clean and neat. Legitimately every person on staff that I interacted with was genuine, kind and very very friendly. I was sad that I couldn't spend more time there! I love the porch swing on the cabin too. It is a great place to stay!

We had a very nice day at the park the staff was very friendly we had a very exciting Windstorm come through it was exciting but scary and the only downfall I could see was they need to have a bigger handicap shower that has a bench other than that are stay was great thanks The Neumann's

We stayed one night in a Kozy Cabin, we got in only 30 minutes before the office and store closed, and they were very friendly and accommodating and even made us hot sandwiches for dinner at the grill/restaurant in their store even though they were preparing to close up. We really appreciated it! Check-in was quick and easy and the location was quiet.

Of the five or so KOA's along western South Dakota along I-90 this is your best choice especially if you are car/tent camping. Many of the campgrounds along I- 90 here are not much more than parking lots for RV's. We found this KOA superior in many ways. This WAS supposed to be our stop for the gateway to the Black Hills. Unfortunately, we ran out of daylight a 100 miles eastward. So we visited in the early morning before anyone was awake. It was mostly empty as we were in the very early part of the season but it was evident we had missed out on a great campground. We visited May 2023.

What a great overnight stay. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful. They also serve dinner delivered to the RV...my wife is STILL raving about the spaghetti. 1880 Old Town in just down the road and well worth a visit.
