I loved my stay! Perfect location, very helpful and friendly staff. The pool was clean, refreshing, and lovely as a break from the heat. My only remark is that the bathrooms could have been cleaned and re-stocked more often. Thanks for a fun stay!

For tent campers, there’s not always a good, dry spot for your tent. It doesn’t rain much there, but we were unlucky. Our tent and car were completely surrounded by several inches of water after a storm.

Number of bathrooms for that site not enough, and not kept up. Couldn’t plug into the receptacle at my site, had power but wouldn’t accept plug

The campsite and bathrooms were clean. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back for another stay. The only thing I wish was different was the availability for food at camp was not an option for a couple of the days we were booked.

The facilities were in need of great repair. The mini golf is a joke. Totally ripped up carpets, etc.

I ended up getting there a day early, no problem fit me right in. Camp ground is in. excellent condition clean.

We arrived late after a long day of driving but our Check-in was easy to do even though the office was closed. All we needed was a place to pitch our tent for the night. We had a nice quiet site which we were grateful for. This is our 3rd time we’ve stayed here and we’ll be back again. Always clean and quiet.

The best part about this KOA is the proximity to Badlands. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The bathrooms everytime we used them were unkempt but otherwise functional. This is my second time at this KOA and I would come back for, again, its proximity. Quiet time hours were iffy due to us staying in a Tent and having families with small children around us. Otherwise not a bad stay :)

We had a really great experience tent camping at this KOA. Loved the camp kitchen cleanup area and access to drinking water next to campsite. That made things so much easier. My dog says not to forget to mention the dog park haha. The only thing I wish was different was the number of bathrooms in the tent section of the campground. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience.

The bathroom was pretty disgusting. The shower curtains haven’t been changed in maybe years, they were falling apart. I also registered for a grass site, but it was basically gravel because the grass was all dead. Unlike many of the other KOAs I’ve been to this one just didn’t feel cared for

We stayed one night on our way through this beautiful state. The staff were super friendly and helpful! There were plenty amenities for families and children. The showers were decent and our campsite was clean. The only issue we had were neighboring campers who didn't follow the quiet time rule. I'm sure that's common though. We would stop here again if traveling through! Thanks!

We love this Kampground! Sadly, our stay this year didn’t allow us to partake in the amenities the park has to offer, but this is the one Kampground we return to. The sky in the Badlands is incredible after dark, so don’t forget to go take silhouetted night-shot photos. It is pretty far from most other destinations, but we think it’s worth the drive.

If you are tenting, be prepared to either wait a while to use the restroom or shower. Or, you’ll need to walk a good distance to use the other restroom/ shower. We had two restroom/ shower rooms, for about 30 tenters in our area.

The campsite was more than adequate. The major issue is the bathroom/shower. Only two bathroom/shower combos were available in the back end of the campground. When we were able to get in they were very dirty and the shower head was hanging off the wall by the pipe.

We stayed at a unique tent village site. The floor of the locking cabinet was full of leaves, dirt and other debris. The sink counter was filthy too. A little site prep cleanup would have been easy and appreciated. The shower/bath house had no hand washing soap. The shower curtains were stained. The concerned staff checked on us after a nighttime severe thunderstorm with hail occurred.

Sites are really close together and our neighbor stayed up late so I didn’t get much sleep. But the bathroom and showers were clean.

Tent camped 3 nights in the community camp - personal sink and power. We were very comfortable, facilities were clean and staff was super nice! Loved the breakfast of pancakes and sausage! Would totally return!

We stayed Wed through Sun and the only night the bathrooms looked clean and worthy of using was on Saturday night. The rest of the time they were extremely muddy, drains filled with hair, and wet. The store had very little options in the form of food. No lunch meats, hot dogs, bread, etc. We had to shop in Rapid City because the suggested Cowboy Corner had expired food. Site was great, people nice

What a great KOA! We booked a tent site... loved the location. We appreciate the amenities: clean showers (thank you!!), outdoor kitchen cleanup station, dog park, grocery store that provided supplies we forgot. And the incredibly friendly and helpful hosts!

The bathroom were constantly dirty. Muddy floors, discarded towels and trash overflowing. Camp site was nice a quiet but with the bathroom like that it would be hard to recommend to stay here.

Trees need to be trimmed. A lot of dead which made it scary during the storms. Bathrooms were not cleaned. Trash cans overflowing . Not mopped.

Smell of the septic system was a health concern, additionally they didn’t honor my request for a specific campsite - telling me they were booked while they (sites I asked for) remained vacant. Was my second visit- I won’t plan on staying there again as there are other options close by.

The site type you booked was a gravel pad site and as explained the do not exist in the area you wanted to be in. You made a request in the comments but did not use the select my site option. We were booked up at the time of your stay. A site may appear empty but the guest has a late arrival.

Good location, close to the Badlands and lots of trees for shade. The bathrooms were messy, the ones by the tent sites did not get restocked with toilet paper or paper towels the 2 days we stayed. The pool was closed the 2 days we stayed, one of the main reasons we chose this campground. The kids enjoyed mini golf, but it was falling apart.

We apologize for our pool being closed. An unexpected filter failure is a challenge when you are literally in the middle of nowhere.

Friendly and accommodating staff set us at ease right away. Mini golf was fun. We appreciated the relaxed attitude of the campground. The only minor bummers were that the sports balls were all flat and the tent bottom got dirtier than normal from the diet/-sand at the site. Overall good stay!

Very run down. Mini golf carpet was torn and in bad shape. Pool was closed. Bathrooms were dirty all the time. Stayed in tent village which has potential. First day I told the grounds crew and office about mouse droppings in the “kitchen” area. They said someone would clean it up. Two days never happened. Watched 3 cleaners clean one cabin. 2 cleaned 1 sat on a swing.

Nice campsite. However, there was no toilet paper in the tent campground area multiple days. The mini golf area needs a complete overhaul. Either fix it up or take it off the website as an offering. We were excited to play this but were disappointed. The burger shack was a great plus. An idea is to have the roads oiled as the dust was bad.

Location and setup are great. Our third time staying here. Issues: only two bathroom/shower stalls for a large number of tent sites. Almost always needed to wait in line. Main complaint was one of the staff who had a permanent site had his dogs out in a penned area and they barked all day long! We asked him to take care of it and he said "he would talk to them". Dogs will be dogs, not good.

We rented a basic camping cabin for 2 nights. Only issue the mattresses on the beds could be a bit thicker, otherwise the campfire ring and porch swing were great, water tap right by our cabin. Store had nice selection. Wings were very good and kids liked the Hunt Bros pizza.
