I had an awesome stay at the Badlands/White River KOA. The facilities were super clean, the staff were all friendly, the option to buy breakfast and dinner was an added bonus, and it’s located in the heart of the Badlands. I’ll for sure be coming back—thanks for a great stay! I could not have had a better stay!

All the amenities were great but the little pod we stayed in was not so great. You might as well sleep on the deck outside cause it’s hard as a rock and the a/c above your bed was like a train passing by. Loud.

Location was superb, the flies were a bit much. Owner fogged the day we left so I imagine it was just a bad time of year. All facilities were top notch!!

Cabin and linens were very clean. We enjoyed the pool on hot days. I wished there was brewed coffee for purchase available in the general store. Will definitely stay here again!

I stayed in the camping cabin. It was very clean and everything I needed for my stay. The whole park is very clean and well kept. It has air conditioner which is nice on the hot days. The staff is very friendly and courteous in going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Beautiful views of the Badlands. They have good food available at the “Cook Shack” for breakfast and supper.

This was our first time staying at a KOA and this place was great - super clean, quiet at night, cute cabins, very friendly team. The pool was a lifesaver with our kids! The cabin was a good compromise between staying in a hotel and full on tent camping - some of the amenities of home (beds, air conditioning) but some of the elements of camping (campfire cooking). Definitely would recommend!!

It was great! Very fun, friendly staff, great pool and clean bathroom! My only complaint is that the fire wood sold in the store was not properly dried and was very very difficult to light. We are experienced campers and fire makers.

This KOA was clean, quiet and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The delux cabin was clean and a perfect size with a charcoal grill and firepit on a paved patio area. Loved that we had our own bathroom/shower and this was a pet friendly cabin. The mini golf and dog park were great to have on site. Did not use pool but another great amenity to have. Great location for visiting Badlands NP!

We loved the campground! We encountered the friendliest staff, very clean facilities, and our pup loved playing at Kamp K9. The campground was a very short drive away from the Badlands NP and the pool was a nice reprieve after hours in the heat. This was our first time utilizing the cabins and I am so glad we did. We look forward to our next KOA trip!

Excellent site. Convenient access from I 90 and to Bad Lands. Not too big. I stayed at other KOA that have become immense. Almost too crowded. Badlands size, is perfect. Excellent food service.

Made reservations in march for for end of June visit just to make sure all was set for my wife’s birthday. Received all the KOA updates and confirmation email’s that the DELUXE CABIN WITH PORCH AND SWING was all set for our stay. When we arrived we they just put us in a pod ?? And would not give us the cabin said all full up we are not kicking someone out of the cabins. NIGHTMARE RUDE LADY

I believe we did all we could to make you happy, if you had told us it was all about the swing, we would have found a swing for you. We adjusted your stay charges. We have corrected the KOA web site that lists the pod as a deluxe cabin.

We stayed one night and loved this KOA. Our cabin was very clean and well kept and the staff were amazing. Price was reasonable. The only thing that we would suggest is fixing up the put-put course, though we still played and enjoyed it :)

The yurt is very nice and comfortable, staff is friendly. The only reason not a perfect rating, sold us wet firewood. By the time we tried starting our campfire the store was closed and nobody to fix issue.

I've stayed at several KOAs but this one is the very best. It's in a great location and the entire place is beautiful. I stayed in a pod. It was very cute and adequate for my needs. The only recommendation I have is that they put up a couple extra hooks in the bathroom to hang things and they include a small broom and dustpan. Other than that it was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The campground was very family friendly and felt very safe. Kids loved the pool which was maintained well. I stayed in a 2 person pod which was clean and plenty of room for one person. On, the negative side, the mattress was extremely hard and was not kind to my arthritic shoulders. There were also a lot of moths in the cabin but once I got them out and kept the lights out,it was better

The cabin was wonderful! Very clean and comfortable. The staff were always there to help us in anyway. And the grounds were beautiful, someone obviously takes their time and really cares about how it looks! We hope to come back!

We showed up afterhours, but had received a text of instructions for late arrival and it was a breeze finding our packet and cabin. Enjoyed the pool and loved having the store and Kook Shack onsite for a bite to eat and supplies. We'd definitely stay again!

It was a nice location, close to park events and not far from i90. Easy going staff. Food available but with not-so-great meal options to buy from. Some rude guests but overall the kids, older and younger workers, hard working maintenance staff, clean restrooms and showers, made for a pleasant stay.

It was pleasant again. This was our second stay at the white river badlands koa and we were happy. I do wish the store stayed open a little longer though. Again. Very happy here

Overall the campground and cabin were great. A couple things that were a little disappointing, though, when we clicked on Amenities within our reservation email, we saw that the pool was open as of 4/28 and that all campers get 1 free complimentary pancake breakfast, and that the Kook House offers meals. We never saw the Kook House open at all and the pool was not open. Otherwise, it was great

We stayed in cabin 90, our son and dong we’re with us. We all had a great time and we’re very comfortable in the cute little cabin. The KOA hosts were from nearby our hometown, so it was like talking with a neighbor. The only thing I would change is if the pool could have been open, but I understand we were early in the Badlands KOA opening season. They had opened a few days before our arrival

I absolutely loved this nice little park. We didn't use the amenities because we came to visit the Badlands. We spent several days sightseeing the park and it was very much worth the time and money to stay here. Everyone we met was super friendly and welcoming! Grant it, I'm writing this review a year later, but it's still fresh in my memory! Thank you for such a wonderful site and a great vacation spot!

Wow! We arrived late and so happy to find a beautiful site. Very clean, quiet campground. Highly recommend if visiting the Badlands area. We spent 3 days and it was a great experience. Highly recommend the breakfast pancakes!
